Yep, HDD v Blueray, just like VHS v Beta back in the 80s. I still have a few VHS tapes kicking around and a couple of VHS players in the garage. A mate of mine swore by Beta and kept his tapes and player for years after they stopped making Beta players and tapes.
Peter Kay had Blue Ray selling pirate DVD'S.We had a Chinese guy selling to us Hoo Flung Dung was his name, last I heard he was on a cruise in the South China Sea circling Taiwan, he's done well for himself.
HDVD failed because Toshiba made the same mistake that Sony did with Betamax. Sony learned from that and let other companies make bluray discs and players, so that killed HDVD dead.
Don't forget that old age is reversed childhood speech, comprehension, movement, etc; carrying with it life long experiences with you! So look upon an elderly person like you would a young child: with kindness, understanding, patience and love! NOT MOCKERY, CRUELTY AND BULLISH ATTITUDE! Old age comes to us all if we are lucky enough to live long!
Just a quickie, you both look much better with ears now. Nick, your lovely wife needs a holiday ; you stay at home and look after the kids and send her over to me in Portugal to de-stress. ! Send me your address and I’ll send my wife over to you as a fair swap. What do you say ?
I see HD-DVD vs Blu-ray symbolic of the Sony Microsoft war, Microsoft lost! HD-DVD died 2008 and Blu-ray is on everything now... Sony was actually the creator of Blu-ray in 2000, the first technology available in Japan in 2003. Toshiba created HD-DVD and released it commercial in 2006 and by February 2008 Toshiba abandoned the format, the format Microsoft adopted for their Xbox at the time... You can guess why Microsoft went with Toshiba rather than Sony. Imagine buying your technology from your competitors and every review telling your customers you had a Sony Blu-ray drive in you Xbox.
This is fast becoming one of my favourite channel ❤

Wyatt Earp's Family came from my part of England, the West Midlands.

Not seen this clip for years😂
Keep a hold of it. It's a piece of history. Maybe in 30 years some collector will buy it for more than you paid. 😂
❤ your reactions! I agree Wyatt Earp (Costner) is a great movie.👍🇬🇧
*Note:* "Blue" in the UK means "dirty".
I don't know why.
But "blue" jokes or "blue" language is humour/language of an "adult" nature.
I still have a copy of 'World Trade Center' on HD DVD sat on my shelf.
Hey guys guess who,s got tickets to see peter kay, had a 4 hour queue to get them 😂

Plus the great unspoken influence, the blue content like that which ray would sell made a big difference I believe, the studios chose Blu-ray...
My family had betamax growing up
Surprised you can understand his accent.

Sound quality was poor on this one. Maybe use headphones?
