I honest to God hated my cricut until I started watching your videos. I thought what a waste of money and then you appear!!! I love that you go step-by-step and explain things. I don’t understand what a lot of options on design space even mean and you always explain it so well.
I just finished making these for my students. I took pictures of them with their arms up and added a little fake snow at the bottom. They turned out SOOOO cute! Thanks for sharing with very easy to follow directions!
Love these! I am in the process of getting everything together. I want to make glass oranments with the Grandchildren when they were babies for their parents. Then also make unbreakable ones for the Grandchildren with a cute snowman or reindeer. Every year I give the Grandchildren homemade ornaments for Christmas. Thank you for this wonderful project.
I followed your instructional video and was able to do my first ever print and cut! I need to find a picture with brighter colors and apply what you taught me. :-) I now have the confidence that I can make these!
Very good instructions. Glad you showed how to take the acetate back out of the ornament ball. I struggled when I made my own because I didn't think to put the tab on mine. They have a penchant to move around inside the ball if you shake them too much. I also added snow glitter, a small amount, to the bottom of the ball, on the inside. Your idea is so much better. Thank you. Next year will be alot easier to do, thanks to your craftyness.
Thanks for the ideas. I made these floating ornaments many years ago..just by printing out a picture, cutting it in a circle and putting it in the ornament ball. I love we now have a Cricut to use. Very clever.
This is the first project I did after meeting you on my computer! I loved it even though I struggled using vinyl for the first time! Of course, once they were finished, I needed boxes to put them in and so, that is the next thing I made!. Was it all perfect? - NO! But they are nice enough to give away as gifts and I'm sure I will be doing it again. Now I can't wait to make a new project each time sit down at my computer!
Wonderful, Judy! You have learned the very essence of crafting that I'm trying to teach!!! Sometimes we struggle, keep at it and just keep on making those things, ANY things, and you will learn and love! I am so happy that you shared with me - thank you so much! 😍
Hello Jennifer I was in the pro cess of doing my floating ornaments thought I had everything. I clicked on the material list you had listed didn't pay attention that you were using staples film. I clicked on the one in the list it was Cricut brand. Well gotten ready to load it in the printer and it states can not be used in an inkjet printer. I had spent 3 hours loading pictures and changing the background for 16 pictures. Now I have to go to staples and get the one that you have shown in the video. You make everything look so easy to do. I wish I had paid closer attention to the supplies you mentioned in the video instead of looking at the material list below. I was so excited to be near finished. I have 16 floating ornaments to do and 25 mugs to design. Thank you for all you do
I love this. I have wanted to make this for a while now. One for my mother who we just lost and miss so much. Thank you for your instructions. You are a blessing.
Thank you Jennifer for sharing you talent with us. Even though I’ve had my Cricut for more than a year, I just came across this tutorial. I love it! You are a great teacher! I cant wait to learn more from you.
You make the best stuff, I'm waiting for my 1st cricut machine so I have been binging on youtube videos and you have ideas that are not common or on repeat. I subscribed, cant wait to make ornaments for my friends and family.
Thank you for all your wonderful tutorials. I love your creativity! I greatly appreciate your generosity with your projects and cut files. Merry Christmas!
I just found these ideas in Pinterest and had no idea how they made them. So happy that I found this video. It is so amazing how you explain this! I cant wait to make some of these! Thank you!!!!
Great tutorial! I prefer shorter videos but there is a lot of useful information here and it was well worth the time I spent watching. Thanks for sharing and your generousity of time and talent!
@@JenniferMaker Kind of funny story. I went to the craft store tonight to look for clear ornaments. There was a sweet lady in front of them & she explained that she wanted to make ornaments with pictures with her grandchildren. She was looking for the ones that come as halves & snap together but didn't really know what they were. After watching your video earlier, I was able to point her right to them & explain how you had shown us to make them. That makes 2 happy crafters. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial. I wanted to make a memorial Christmas tree and I was not sure on how to make the ornaments. Love it and love you! God bless.
Hi Jennifer. thanks for this great tutorial. I am still a little confused. I have never done a print and cut. In the example with your adorable baby, is the black line border box automatically going to be around the photo ? Also how do you know exactly where to place it on the mat so it cuts the shape exactly? Do you have the sizes listed in your ornament template on line..in inches? Thanks so much!
Jennifer, in example one couldn't you just print a sheet of the pictures you want and attach the whole transfer sheet first then cut it all out together? Would that eliminate the step of having to do two cuts and piece them together? I want to try this but not waste transfer paper. It seems both could be cut at the same time. This was a great tutorial. Thank you. Carolyn
HELP!!! I have tried everything. Last year I made floating Memory Ornaments for family. This year, my MIL aske for 2 more. I feel like I have done everything the same as last year, but the Sensor will not read the cut marks. Anyone know what could be different? I have the Cricut Explore Air 2. Is it too old now? Was there an update that switched something? I even taped a white piece of paper behind so that it might be able to read the marks. I bought a brand new mat with no markings. It still want work. Im running out of time for Christmas 😪 TIA

Would it be possible to print more than one image using the same piece of transparency film? It would be a waste to only one at a time.
Yes, you can use as many images as you can fit in the Print then Cut space. 😊🌻
I also add some glitter or fake snow in the bottom & cut the wires off/shorter so they don't show. Then glue the top on
Great idea!!
Love these floating ornaments! Thanks so much for sharing this tutorial!

You may need to minimize Cricut Design Space, sometimes the print dialog pops up behind it. 😊🌻
Do you use print and cut or cut and print
Print then cut. 😊🌻
Thank you for the tutorials!
Love the floating ornament thank you Jennifer

The printable transparency sheets only come in one weight, you'll want to be sure it's printable.
