Hey thanks for checking out ep 1! I've decided to continue with the series but a little more edited to make it a bit more engaging and cut out a lot of the black loading screens, scrolling dialogue and random encounters! I hope you like future episodes!
Dude, I've never gotten the chance to see someone experience my favorite game for the first time like this. What a delight. If you keep going I look forward to seeing your reaction to some of the pivotal moments in the story. How exciting.
This game is an absolute masterpiece. I've beat it on everything possible. Phone, PSP, computer. I don't have a PlayStation or I would on there too. The voice actors are my ONLY minimal complaint.
God I love this game. Took my mom to Walmart when I was a kid and asked for final fantasy and they gave me this. When I got home and realized it wasn’t final fantasy I was upset but an hour in and I forgot all about it. This game has its quirks (the localization is….not great haha) but loads of charm. I hope you enjoy it
Glad I found your channel I watched Missildines a few months back and it was a great playthrough It's not very often I find someone playing a blind playthrough of one of my all time favorite games I'm glad it got rereleased for the ps4-ps5 to give new people a chance to play it!
Although I'm a big final fantasy fan I played this game when it came out in 2000 and I gotta say it's probably my most favorite jrpg of all time literally talked to my friends about it so much when I was in school they got mad and told me not to talk about it anymore lol but to me it's that good I've literally beat it multiple times in my life
Immediately when he started playing it and it just did that awkward silence for a while which he said hello for... I felt like there was something missing something core to the experience... Where is the old school Sony entertainment and Playstation startup sequence?
My favorite game as a kid, so many hours of my life devoted to this game. I returned my ff7 after an hour of being lost and got this instead. Such a big game, I bought it agin on eBay. Lots of secrets to the story and look out for Star dust. If you find enough something good will happen. I look forward to episode 2. It’s fun watching someone else play this for the first time. I just downloaded it on my ps4 so I’ll be playing along side you. You got my sub today 👍
OMG thank you so much for the sub! Happy to have you along for the ride haha! I hope you enjoy the 2nd episode, I put a little bit more editing into but felt like I kept a lot of the gameplay and removed a bit of the redundant encounters. Thanks for the tips, I'll try to keep those in mind :)
Mr. Miles it's a pleasure watching you play one of my favorite all time games. Brings new life watching someone appreciate this work of art. Keep on playing and enjoy your journey. It's the one of the best by far
The “horses” definitely give off an anteater/aardvark vibe. Lol Also it took me awhile as a kid to accept that dragons in this world look like weird aliens.
My absolute favorite game, introduced in 2000ish by my late friend, great to see new people enjoying it, quick warning some voice acting is less than great but that is my only critisism in over 20yrs
First video of yours I watched. You made watching a game I've played many times over 2 decades a new and fun experience . I look forward to watching the rest
I want a full on remake of this game. Modernize a few of the graphics and other tech, give it a fresh story, but keep the style and feel. The ONLY gripe I ever had with this game, was not being able to choose a different addition mid fight.
Sorry for the real late response to this! I would love a remake or prequel. And yeah agreed I think I make this same remark/request in one of the last few episodes if they were to do a remake.
Hell yeah can’t wait to see this play through, I’m currently playing this for the tenth time on my PS3. The story is itself is good enough for multiple play throughs and hard enough to enjoy it every time not like Final Fantasy.
One of my favorite games on the PS1. This is amazing. Please continue, more people should learn about this unique gem. Also PRO Tip: Triangel button opens the main menu. What you opened is the PS1 Emulator menu on the PS4/5 To save properly, you go to the overworld map OR to the bright white light in a dungeon, open up the main menu with triangle and hit save.
This game is in my top 3 of all time favorite games. I don’t generally watch play throughs of other people but I think this may be one of the exceptions. “You won’t get me Assassin Cock!!” can’t stop giggling… 😂
I'm a new player myself but this has been on my wishlist of ps1 era games for the longest time, I really want you to do more of this, you'll enjoy just as much as I am.
@@MrMilesTV nowhere near, been levelling additions, getting gold and aiming for platinum. I've only just finished the first dungeon, the prison. All because I'm being thorough
Legend of dragoon is for many people their final fantasy 7 moment if ff happened to pass them by in the PS1 era. Its the first jrpg they ever played and found love for the genre in the very early 2000s, it has that kind of effect on people. That's why it's held in such high regard on top of having a very ambitious story and characters and world. The combat is not as complex as FF as far as turn based goes but it's still very fun once you get hang of the addition system and later systems. For me, this is a game near and dear to my heart, so I hope you enjoy 😁
That is what I gather! I've heard many great things about it. I've only played that bit you watched but I plan on playing more for sure if you're interested in seeing more i'll post the videos!
This is my all time favorite PS1 game and they have already deployed the patch for the bugs that were showing up. I look forward to watching this whole blind playthrough.
@@MrMilesTV If dragoon had released on PC instead of PS1 (PS1 discs were more robust in data storage than a regular CD ROM) I'm pretty sure it would have either been on par with Baldurs Gate 2 (7 total discs) or exceeded it
This is so vindicating to 10 year old me who had soooo much trouble timing additions at first. Never did get Lavitz down. Be frugal with your gold, buy an Ultimate Wargod for your Green friend. Gust of Wind dance timing is incredibly frustrating, 20 years later still can't hit it 😂 Don't rush to buy that shiny new weapon in the store. Chances are there was one in a trasure chest before, or shortly after access to that shop.
The Ultimate Wargod Amulet is available extremely early on for a whopping 10,000 gold. Even with the best gold grinds this is a time consuming endeavor. You can do it in chapter 1 though. And absolutely worth your time if additions ever give you trouble. Most characters aren't too bad though. I only ever got one for him lol.
I really love this game. Yes it has flaws but what game doesn't? And really of all the remakes out there, I think this one deserves it. Just to enhance the play style of the dragoon and humans alike. I have played this game a hundred of times and have two physical copies. One of the original release and the greatest hit release. It is a treasure.
TIPS: (Don't Worry No Spoilers) 1) You Can Change the Camera Angle During a battle at any time by using the L1 R1 2) Change your Additions (that's your combos in battle. You can level them up to be more powerful I actually ran Volcano all the way to the final boss but I recommend trying other additions) 3) Defend both gives you a little health and reduces damage which is really cool 4) the glowing light rays were the original way you saved the game in the PS1 version you go to them and go to the menu to save. They don't restore health you have to use an inn, rock fireflies, spring water in the forest, or a free sleeping spot to full heal 5) Freely Use Spells since eventually you will have to throw them away if you don't use them to clear up space for opening chests don't wait to use spells on only bosses
@@MrMilesTV You are welcome! Oh ya I almost forgot Tip 6) The arrow above your head in movement tells you how close you are to a random encounter. Blue means no enemies nearby, yellow means random encounter is coming, red means random encounter is imminent. You can also turn off this and the door arrows by pressing R1. In Combat the color of the arrows over an enemies head tells you how close they are to dying there are no health bars so this is the closest thing you have. This is most useful in boss battles blue means close to full health yellow means half health red means 2/3 or more dead
Yeah I like that its a bit more interactive for combat vs just like a hit O to dodge this cinematic movement type deal with the games that are more like interactive movies.
Not to spoil anything, but I'd highly advise taking the time to grind a smidge to get those additions to level 5. Other than the immediate benefit of the added damage early game, later on as you level and gain new ones it'll be super beneficial for easier boss clears. I've played the game every year since release, and my first ever play through I rushed without grinding.. final boss took close to an hour to beat with a level 2 madness hero addition
Good call! I don't want to be under leveled, I experienced long boss fights in my recent video series for Crisis Core Reunion.. they take forever to film.. I'm on a schedule!
I love Legend of Dragoon so much, I hope as it comes to PS4/5, many new players will enjoy it and encourage others to play too. I think you should play the whole game XD

I'm not going to watch this blind let's play because I haven't played The Legend of Dragoon and to be completely honest with you it hasn' caught my attention so far, but just in case I change my mind I prefer not to ruin my future blind experience.
The PS4PS5 ports are nice, but I'm not sure why the platinum trophy doesn't include any of the hard superbosses, and it's also odd how his port runs at 30 fps, when I can run it at 60 fps on a PC emulator.
Whoever told you there isn't grinding in this game mislead you. Maybe not on purpose, but there are points in the game if you're not high enough level or don't have skills/d.lvl. high enough you can be soft locked
I think grinding outside of the normal encounters is what they meant. I haven't done a TON of grinding outside of the random encounters I've fallen into.. maybe a couple of extra hours.
@MrMilesTV that's what I meant. You don't need to spend countless hours grinding, but you do need to do a little bit of grinding. Unless you want to get the best equipment before leaving the 1st disc
Assassin cock lol. That got lost in translation! I completely forgot about that haha. Besides I hardly pay attention to the enemy names. Lenny Lavitz is hilarious. And as far as Shana pronunciation, I always thought it was Shan-uh
Nobody is going to mention that he played for almost an hour and not once open up the menu screen? Like ppl play like this now a day? Usually you would test all the button to see what it does...right?
The Legend of Dragoon is a good game, at least that's what I think. Although I don't have childhood memories of it like many others, I discovered it six or seven years ago when I started collecting PSX/PS2 games, I loved it. It takes time getting used to it, especially if you're not used to playing these kinds of games. I hope you're able to enjoy it despite being an old school game. Other old games that are available on the PS Store that you may be interested in are Shadow of the Colossus and Nier Replicant ver. 1.22 (both are absolutely beautiful yet heartbreaking works of art). Dragon's Dogma is also highly recommended but the story is not its main focus. Also, if you ever get the chance, check out the Xenoblade Chronicles, Fire Emblem, Dragon Age, Bioshock, Shin Megami Tensei (and its spin-off), Mass Effect, and Atelier franchises and, of course, the hidden gem that secretly shaped and influenced the game industry, ICO.

My absolute all time favorite game its an absolute joy to watch someone's first journey if you need any help please don't hesitate to ask. Things to not the shiny ball is a save point make sure you level your additions to max and most of all protect Lavitz with all your might
Thank you Thank you! Hope I make you proud!
You mean you were actually able to play it. It's soft locking whenever I use Rose's dragoon magic. It's happening to a lot of ppl
I haven't gotten that far so haven't seen the bugs yet :)
That was patched last week.
I'm team Rose, actually.
She’s pretty bad ass, won’t lie!
This is one 2 best rpg on ps1 that aren't ff

Not on current consoles it ain’t
Yeah I guess it’s been pretty buggy
Im sorry, but do not play this version of the game, this port is unplayable and broken, but you wouldn't know that within the first 5 hours, eventually you will beat hoax, and the game is gonna fall apart, its softlock city after 5 hours, and early impressions videos like this are in for big bad suprise.
Oh I haven't heard that, I guess we'll see when we get there!
@@MrMilesTV no one has, i have seen zero people talking about it, its too earlyz alot of videos are impressiom videos, or first 20 or 1 hour or 4 hours of play, but this is awful.
@@MrMilesTVi love this game, and so will you, but this version did us dirty.
@@DukeApples yep :( i will wait for a patch i already finished this game 4 times so i am not in a rush, but i still want to play this version in full later on this looks good on ps5 :)
I'll probably get a couple episodes out and wait for a patch :)
You could rewind if you mess up the action commands
ohhh right! I've never seen a rewind option in a game before so that's going to take some getting used to.
@@MrMilesTV so you never seen it on Nintendo switch online?
nahh I don't really play my switch that often tbh
What do you mean? Is the game good? THIS GAME IS AMAZING! Team King Albert 🤌🏽
Haha my bad
