It’s applying oil like you do conditioner in the shower. I used to apply the oil THEN add the conditioner on top. I used to swear by it. But I’ve moved on

I agree with you, butters are not styles for me because the hold just isn't there. I always top it off with gel or mousse. These products were sinking into your hair though 👀
