I saw that they aren't a really popular ship but one thing that always stood out to me the entire time was how poetic it actually is. That maybe the only person who can ever really love you for you is ...you. It's not narcissistic, it's quite sad but in some way i feel like it makes sense.

A ton of people have been friendly in disagreements over the Loki and Sylvie ordeal. I believe that Loki was bounded to a fate of misery previous to his encounter with Sylvie. When he strayed from the timeline and ultimately met her it changed him, yes, but it made him happy and gave him a sense of fullness. Obviously as seen by their nexus event they are incredibly powerful together. He’s not weak just a new kind of powerful. Furthermore, as shown by the nexus event she loves him back it’s not one way. I just think both of them are confused over their ultimate feelings for each other and both struggle to comprehend it especially Sylvie as she hardly had a life as it was.
Loki’s never loved anyone like this before , he’s only betrayed his loved ones , and slyvie has had everything she ever loved taken from her , she’s never betrayed someone she’s cared about before . and now the tables have been turned for both of them , Loki is a the betrayed loved one finally , and slyvie is the betrayer . Like Loki said, She can’t trust , and he can’t be trusted .

Love the show, love the characters, love this ship and love this edit. :) I do feel compelled to play Sylvie's advocate for a little while-I've posted some of this a couple other places but gotta keep sharing it to counter the negativity. :D (Not a little while-in reality this is quite a long ramble-consider yourself warned!!!) I know she is-for the most part-loved here-her growth and character development valued-but in the larger world of the internet she is not getting as much empathy and understanding as I would hope. This is worrisome to me because it is indicative of larger societal issues. I see people quick to cancel each other out when they have a different perspective on what is right and best. Or, in actuality having the same end goal of what is right and best, but becoming judgmental and angry when encountering conflicting ideas on how to accomplish that goal. Fortunately-though the negative may be louder-I believe the positive is larger. Most people are willing to allow the places of hurt in their own lives to inform how they relate to hurting people around them-understanding but not excusing destructive ways of dealing with trauma. Hearkening back to the WandaVision finale for just a moment-I struggle with the conversation that Monica and Wanda had, where Wanda states that understanding what she has given up would not change anyone's perception of her. I would think that spending a few days getting an intimate understanding of her pain and grief would cause more than just the one compassionate response. And in real life this is the commentary that comes up when you search that line-"If there's a hole in the emotional honesty of the finale, it's that by arranging this scene in this way, it reframes Wanda as a person whose self-sacrifice will go unrecognized, rather than as a person who committed grave violations of the bodies and minds of lot of people for her own purposes." So-is there a way back for those that are doing the very hard work of breaking the cycle of trauma? Can a redemptive journey end in reconciliation and reintegration? Do we pull a "Ben had to die because Kylo was a bad dude" or do we get in there and fight the demons side by side? Can we help those that have made mistakes to heal and find their place in the world? (Seeing as that's all of us I would think that would be a "better together" scenario!) Could we start by being willing to listen to the heart of another? (Lol-I knew I would ramble!) So-back to the Loki finale contemplation. Does Loki have the moral high ground? Is Sylvie's judgment totally clouded by her need for revenge? What would have been the sufficient amount of time to think about the decision, and would waiting have changed anything in the end? Maybe, but this is such a complex situation that the answers might not be black and white. What if Sylvie and Loki had agreed to take over the TVA? Could they really live with being the "necessary evil" or would the cost of taking free will be too high a price to pay? Certainly, Loki's selfless desire to protect Sylvie, to let go of everything he thought was important in the past, and for Sylvie to be okay was an incredible declaration of love-beautiful, sincere and pure. In exploring why Sylvie needs to do what she did-is it for her vengeance alone or is the bigger reason the resolve to save the universe? Keep in mind she has had years upon years of seeing the devastation caused by the TVA-both to her personally and to countless others. Is it possible that Sylvie was selfless too-sacrificing that which was better than what she had let herself dream of and hope for-to do what she had to do? Maybe Sylvie had a soul-aching longing to say yes to his gentle pleading? Could it be that she gave in for just a moment-wanting with her entire being to linger in that precious kiss-but knowing she couldn't. (Because violating her own moral code would have eaten away at her and eventually torn her apart?) Regarding the whole "betrayal" thing that a lot of folks are on about-it seems to me to be an issue of terminology/perception. If I hold that Sylvie betrayed Loki is it not equally true that Loki betrayed Sylvie? They went into the situation with their perspectives aligned, but ended up seeing things differently and diverging on what the best course of action would be. Just because Loki had good reason to rethink what he had committed to do-based on a new understanding of the dire nature of the situation-doesn't mean that it wasn't felt by Sylvie as a betrayal of sorts. He had bound himself to the same cause and then to waver at the defining moment-it seems that was as much of a "betrayal" as Sylvie's response. (And all of it manipulated and maneuvered by HWR.) Loki and Sylvie were faced with an impossible choice. (Like-"save Gwen or these innocent people" but with exponentially multiplied consequences.) Trying to determine what is right and what is best can be difficult for anyone in any situation. And in this instance the stakes are infinitely high. Who they trust, what they believe and the actions they take will have repercussions for the whole multiverse. Of course the whole situation was engineered such that every outcome would be good for Kang and bad for everyone else! I feel it is too simplistic to think that Sylvie was blinded by a selfish need for revenge. Yes-it is established that there was a need for revenge and that was a primary motivation, but it doesn't necessarily follow that it was for selfish reasons. (Just like-maybe it was not a desire for a throne that could have tempted Loki, but a chance to set things right in his past.) It seems to me that for Sylvie it was more a revenge for all the heartbreak, devastation and oppression that the TVA had caused, and a determination that-whatever the cost-it had to end. Maybe Sylvie's heroic heart would not let her allow one more person to suffer in the way she had suffered all those years. Part of the complication is that the "villains"-even if they recognize themselves as villains-believe absolutely that what they are doing is right and necessary, and are willing to do or even sacrifice anything to make sure it comes to pass. Plus they think that their success is inevitable. (Ultron, Thanos and HWR all have a measure of nobility of purpose and believe that ultimately the greater good is served by their heinous actions.) It's like HWR says "We've all done terrible, horrible, horrific things. But now we-you-have a chance to do them for a good reason." To me the choice that he offered was about like saying-"Hey, Natosha-you can either make a choice that will surely lead to cataclysmic calamity or you can take over the Red Room and become the thing you hate." Throughout history people have chosen to risk death and destruction for the hope of freedom. (Remember how your heart felt when you heard this line- “Bury me in the ocean, with my ancestors that jumped from the ships, because they knew death was better than bondage."?) Seems to me that it would be unconscionable to Sylvie to take that hope away. On top of the fact that there is really no way of knowing what deceptions and manipulations are in play. In the end I feel that many might come to the same conclusion as Sylvie-that she would do what had to be done-even if it cost her everything. Just my headcanon, but I like to think that HWR is not the only one with the long game in mind, and that Sylvie was background processing that she did trust Loki and knew he would be needed to help take on the chaos that she was about to unleash. This has been the catalyst to him becoming a fully realized hero. Looking forward to Season 2 and #sylkireunited
Yeah, I think them fighting in the end of the episode was them having a difference of opinion, not because one is betraying the other. Loki wants to rethink what will unleash if the timelines branch out, Sylvie wants to let nature run its course as she's seen firsthand how having one timeline has devastated countless lives (and variants). I don't think she has a grudge against Loki. She sent him to the TVA in her belief that she's protecting him from what's to come.
@@AlexisVidaMedinaLim -Totally agree. She obviously is not intending to hurt him. Look at all the power and fierceness of that swing, yet she stays her blade without leaving so much as a scratch on his neck. And it speaks to his trust in who she is that he would jump in front of a strike like that.
I agreed, i don't care what other people said about Sylvie, for me she is a great character, and her relationship with Loki is the most beautiful relationship i've ever see on MCU, this is the first time i ship MCU couple, so i don't care if other people says it's Selfcest they are different people just have same temporal aura, i can't believe people talking about DNA in sci fi show, if they are the same person does that mean they have same dna with crocodile Loki too? And Selfcest doesn't even exist in real life😑.I hope Sylvie and Loki reunites on season 2 , and i think this show it's become this popular because The romance between Sylvie and Loki.

So y'all hear me out: maybe Sylvie ISN'T a Loki variant.
As much as I enjoyed LOKI. There is one element in the writing that irritates and annoys me to no end.
Specifically... The fact the writers completely ignored Loki's Asgardian physiology. His superhuman strength, speed, reflexes etc. He is not physically human. And possessed by Sylvie or not...those mortal characters at the hypermarket should never have been able toss him around like that. Nor should the time agent have been able to just smack him with her pain stick in first episode.
Very disappointing.
Otherwise... I love the whole series.
