American music at its finest……what a pleasure to hear these musicians
I grew up listening to Earl Scruggs and the music of his all my young life! I grew up down in hills of Ky! My Mom played guitar and her brother played banjo just like Earl! I had fun growing up, I was poor but I had music all my life! God Bless Blue Grass!
Big happy birthday earl. Love blue grass
There absolutely nothing to unlike in this performance. The Best of the best! Stuart Duncan - the sweetest fiddle I've ever heard anywhere!
😊
That's REAL BLUEGRASS RIGHT THERE. AWSOME JOB. LOVE IT. ❤
Awesome solo breaks by everyone! Sierra killing it vocally and on the mandolin!🔥🔥
Shout out to the unseen hero in this video: the sound guy. Fabulous job balancing all those instruments and making sure the soloists could be heard.
Loved it all. Sierra is remarkably bluegrass to the core.
Exciting. What a catchy tempo !
Now that was fun!!!
OMG how beautiful is this.
Thank you so much ❤
And yes, chapeaux to the Sound Engineer 👍
Este é um blugres de primeira
What's with the drums the electric bass and the harmonica.
Jimmy Rodgers was pre-bluegrass and he played all his songs at a slightly different rhythm. Slower and more bluesy. Interesting to see them adopted into this idiom.

Nice, but I was expecting a lot more yodeling.
I get your humor. Love it.
Love Jim Mills attack, style. Closest right hand delivery to Earl Scruggs, arguably. He is amazing.👌
I saw a comment yesterday on another video featuring Jim Mills that said he needed to work on his timing and get a better sounding banjo. Can you believe that?
@@HPNomad Too funny. He could make a tin can and a 2x4, with a couple of strings, sound like a Grenada. He is incredible, and self-taught, as well.🪕🙏
True Bluegrass music right there folks !
Jim Mills killin it on the banjo
Thank god! There has not been a vid of Jim on YT in a few years! Good to see he is still going!
❤

They asked the audience to NOT record this.
I guess you’ll have to call the Ryman and ask to get this video taken down then.
I was there and never heard any request not to record. It was also streamed, so I don’t know why they would care that someone record.
