Anyone calling this cheating is a goof ball imo. Harada stated the game is in bare bone state, a lot of stuff is going to change/get nerfed, anyone who thinks a lousy cracked network beta test is going to give someone an advantage on anything is silly af. The real issue is datamining and "spoiling" up coming characters. That fucks up Namco surprise in their marketing. But they could also avoid it but not including such data in the game they gonna have as a beta.
I don't think crackers are getting a huge advantage but cracking the game is definitely still cheating. You are doing something directly prohibited by the developer and copyright holder in order to gain an advantage not available to other players
All I can say is... meh. I understand the problem, it just doesn't affect me enough to worry about it. I imagine most players that know they will never be in the top competitive scene feel something similar. And players that didn't get selected by the play test lotery will give specially strong zero f%ks about the game being cracked.
I think the issue of people gaining an advantage is minimal, and I don't think it will have a long term impact on Tekken 8. I think the issue of people pissing off devs enough to stop having PC betas is a much more realistic outcome
I actually don't think this will have that much of an impact, I don't see people grinding the crack like they did for sf6. Tekken games are a lot more similar game to game and they put a lot more emphasis on legacy skills and knowledge, so it's probably more efficient to just keep playing T7 than to find people to play the crack over parsec. Not to mention according to Harada the game's systems and balance are at a very bare bones stage, the game is probably expected to change a lot more than the sf6 betas.
its tough to say but even if it gives no real advantage it definitely is going to scare devs away from PC betas. Companies tend to not like it when people have access to their product illegally
@@flowchartkenYTthats same thing when they release it on pc. This whole idea that access it illigally is bad thing is nonsense They dont even sell it in my country, then it means its free for grabs to me. Whatever its beta or full release
its sad to see that people do actually rush to cheat in any given opportunity making the online experience miserable, personally I didnt get a chance to play the tk8 beta but from what ive seen, it looked and felt amazing so im only hoping itll get better from now on, including anti-cheat measures Anyways great video!
1:43 It is, but the majority of the gaming community population plays on consoles. And usually, the people who play on pc have consoles on the side in case of situations where a game is completely console exclusive. They might have to make beta only available to consoles to stop people cracking the betas in future cbt releases.
@@flowchartkenYT Understandable, i actually wanna try pc gaming out someday myself, the performance and the ability to play games with mods just looks so fun. I got a little taste with the console mods in fallout 4 and skyrim, but i know that's just scratching the surface compared to what's available on the pc side.
Currently, the majority of pros play on PC or even exclusively, and there are people who only play on PC. I, for example, will never pay to play online or change PC if it is not necessary.
In other competitive games they don't usually do this, and if it happens the companies act and ban if necessary, which is why fighting games will never reach the big leagues like other genres. Players cheat and companies don't do a damn
‘It looks amazing, there’s no denying that’ aha on that we disagree 😅 I love the character models but the spark effects, glowing and explosions make it look insanely ugly to me. Looks like a marvel movie. Visually hard to read what is happening and so i stopped playing the CNT after a day and a half and went back to T7 BUT luckily that stuff is on a slider… i hope the slider as a SIGNIFICANT effect ahaha i wanna turn it off fully so we get something more like T4.
Ill have to play the game, tbh i thought the same thing with sf6 with all the paint everywhere but in game it feels a lot less distracting than i thought it would be. I probably will slide pretty far down though lol
The definition of cheating is modifying the video game in a way that the developer does not approve to take advantage, this is cheating, you are modifying a video game to take advantage that I don't know it should have, that in the FGC they have a huge ego and that together with the companies be idiots doesn't say otherwise
actually ps5 players played the test 1 week before pc and xbox and thats "cheating" for me too... just drop a demo, where we can at least practice with framedata
I do think its unfair but I wouldnt say its cheating. Cheating is doing something against the rules and if Bamco is offering a different beta window that is within the rules

Regardless of what you think about cheating, cracking the game is ban worthy. Don't do it. That simple.

im going to guess not positive

They definitely did not waste any time, this thing was cracked in like a day
If we stop getting betas on pc because of piracy then so be it.

Legit the entire SF6 proscene should be banned. Punkdagod is a prime example oif this
why though
Yeah idk about that one probably need some proof
If they all did it then its fair lol

open up a new cheaters bracket and the grand prize is getting back into open bracket
Wdym higher framerates? Fighting games are capped at 60fps for logic.

lmao imagine calling it cheating. All this does is make people practice BnBs and one week after launch everyone will have caught up. Same shit in SF6
I like to imagine somewhere there is a group of people that unironically see using hitbox as cheating and playing cracked games as okay
