The sweetest Chinese bayberries I ever tasted was from an aunt’s orchard in Dehong, where my father was mending the road when I was little. I started to like Chinese bayberries from then on. It rained little this summer, but the Chinese bayberries are very sweet indeed. I made some desserts and dishes with Chinese bayberries. Have you eaten any Chinese bayberries this year?

This is what we called as the true happiness. It doesn't need expensive stuffs or fancy things. It just a as simple as eating delicious food surrounding by a warm happy family in a peaceful place 🥰🥰🥰

She usually has help while cooking too! They aren't always on camera but she's definitely shown them helping her tend to the fire or helping with cutting up large amounts of fruit/veggies before. And she has someone who films as well who also likely helps between shots. ☺️ It's all a collaborative effort and I'm sure she still ended up with help with the dishes anyway.

This made me so nostalgic for the summertime in China. Bayberries are always the thing that family friends gift to each other because they’re in season and there’s such an abundance of them. I didn’t realize how much I craved them 🥺

same here... what's sad is that I can never visit China when it's in season. In the past 25 years I was only able to eat fresh ones during one visit and needless to say I ate as much as my stomach could (couldn't) handle

I just bought a house in the country side, it's a fixer upper and I can't live in it right now but I plan on planting all sorts of fruit trees and bushes around the property so when my family finally gets it fixed up and we move in everything will be ready to pick. I came to China in 2018 and ate many yangmei fruits. I am thankful that the founders of Calmei have helped introduce this crop to be grown in California so now I can eat it fresh here also. It is still very rare in the U.S. but we hope that one day we can enjoy it abundantly.
This is my favorite fruit. I always waiting for the yangmei season returns to China.
