Back when you didn't know Eveline and the grandma was the same person, there was something really off about seeing this old and invalid lady just appear and dissappear all across the game, without context or anything. The prolonged mystery of her mixed with the threathening environment really helped in making the game extra suspenseful.

yeah, i saw her there too. it freaked me out. it was towards the final parts of the game, when i was looking for missing, uhm, missing antique coins to buy the gun.
