- Horticulture may be an industry that you don't automatically consider as a career. But as a genuine "growth" sector - if you'll pardon the pun, it offers a truly diverse range of opportunities for everyone, no matter your background, or education.
I can honestly say that working with this industry has been rewarding for me and it perhaps one, that you should take a closer look at. Let me tell you about my journey and perhaps you may want to take a closer look yourself.

Very informative video I know this is aimed at school leavers but I'm in my thirties and been thinking about a change in my life regarding work.

One of my friends with a degree from a top university here in the States spend the bulk of his career in manufacturing. He made the switch ten years ago to nursery manager in a big box store. He told me he wished he thought of a gardening career as a young man. The best thing that ever happened to him. I also switched to a gardening career late in life...best thing ever! 😍

Very interesting and much more than most of us understand about horticulture.
This is really informative. I am 16/17 and I want a career that doesn't stimulate(overwhelm) my competitive side in life, and also that benefits the environment at the same time. That's why I thought about horticulture, but I wasn't sure if this job could secure my life.
