    Hey there! We're Nick and Terysa and we’ve become completely obsessed with the idea of sailing around the world and sharing our experiences and information through our sailing lifestyle videos with others.
    We met travelling around India, and quickly agreed that rather than “settling down” and doing what most normal people do, we wanted to travel and have adventures! We moved onto our 38 foot monohull in 2014, sailed across the Atlantic twice, cruised the Caribbean, Bahamas and Europe, before buying a brand new 45 ft catamaran!
    We hope you enjoy what we do. Please subscribe, like and share.

    I don't believe you've ever indicated who manufactures the water maker, but I would think it should be under some kind of warranty, by the manufacturer, or SeaWind who installed it. From what was shown, it definitely was shoddy to say the least, and leaves in question the quality of the brand.

      This is one of those things that really should be chased down - by the manufacturer, or the boat builder. *SOMEONE REALLY MESSED UP* and caused a grievous amount of inconvenience, ill will, and discontent. It could have been an even bigger deal if they had been far offshore, without water or water making capabilities. Failures happen - it’s life - but this was not failure. It was carelessness.

    Guys just thinking was the new Seawind design fully thought through, as there have been numerous faults both in design and practicality, plus quality control in the build. It has put both of you through so much stress. How much more must you take before you are happy or close to been happy. Sorry for the seemly negative post, but when I compare Seawind to HH I know who are the happier sailors at present.

      Not a level playing field if maybe you're comparing the beautiful Ruby Rose to Jason and Nikki's new HH44OC or any other cruising type Cat ever manufactured by anyone. The Wynn's HH44 is only the third carbon fiber hull designed and built by HH in the 44 series (hull 3) and like Hull 1 and 2 it was and is closely monotored by HH as an "R&D test article" to use an aerospace engineering term. Hull 3 incorporates performance data supplied via their HH test sail shakedown teams and continued by the Hull 1 and 2 owner reporting which includes software tweaking data regarding the test propellers selected for the duel HH44 battery regen system. Hulls 1, 2 and 3 all have different propellers for that test data collection. Jason had mentioned that he would like to get more than the max five knots while using the current duel purpose trade off propeller pitch design. In turn HH engineering is looking at his and the other propulsion data being collected in consideration of possible software tweaks to bump the speed a knot or two. a) When using one of the diesel engines or b) when using the lithium battery bank for silent electric propulsion.

    • @georgecarney3083
      @georgecarney3083 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +12

      @@77space-vt8wi The propulsion issue is not what I'm really talking about it's the over all finish of the boat. When in the manufacture stage and I saw the davits I could see that they would be a problem from their design. The water maker and Ice maker failing so soon leads me to think that the best equipment was not procured for a new design and built boat. Too me QC in procurement went out of the window.

    • @stargazer7644
      @stargazer7644 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@georgecarney3083 I don't think you are being entirely fair - Have a look at the Wynns 'The Honeymoon is Over' episode where they say they have a long list of issues and cite a leaky lazarette, leaky water-maker, a mainsail that doesn't drop fully, tender issues, rewiring of electric sockets amongst other things.
      It is just the way the different channels describe their lives, and accept and/or tackle teething issues

    • @andersonautomotive

      Black sails are due to the materials used. The dark colored materials like carbon, Kevlar, etc give you sails that are lighter weight and hold their shape better than white Dacron sails, but tend to not last as long. Some of the newer materials such as Hydranet are more of a grey color and have excellent retention of the sail shape and longevity approaching dacron. I believe Ruby Rose has Hydranet sail cloth.

If your goal is to sail in mediterrannee and atlantic islands, and you don't want to sail via South Africa, may'be you could buy a cat in Europe, they are lot of boat manufacturers there. And add to it all that they are not availing themselves to the incredible cruising in Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and elsewhere on the western side of Thailand all of which are so readily accessible from Jomtien/OMYC. Why buy/build a cat in Vietnam if you're not going to avail yourselves to the incredible cruising grounds of SE Asia!? What a wasted opportunity! True bluewater cruisers would leap at the opportunity to explore SE Asia on that beautiful boat. I just don't think they have the bottle for it. Go on, back to the Med/Europe where it's comfortable I guess. Whatever...I've lost interest and to be brutally honest, I've had enough of Capt Whinge. Stuff breaks all the time on every single yacht in the world and owners simply deal with it, fix it and get going again. I'm hauling our boat out in a week to fix all kinds of stuff - situation normal. But as core content for a sailing channel...yawn, nah. Get over it guys! Best of luck in the Med.
