Hello CR The Gallowglas is a fine Mech. I have used them on occasions and never found them wanting. Although I do favor the Gauss Rifled version for personal reasons. A 2/3 Pilot in one can be a 'game changer' on the battlefield. Especially 'head-shotting' other Mechs. Although 'limited' by is ammo supply, the two tons of ammo are usually more than enough for the Gallowglas to take down it's fair share of foes before running dry.
Always got to get the new laser boat out there every so many years to keep sales up. I guess it's like Games Workshop. They need to release the same kind of model each year to keep sales up even though the old model still works perfectly fine.
So I'm super new to Battletech. I've only played two battles and had one logistics meeting. I literally learned about the Gallowglas this weekend. I think it looks pretty nice but I'm sad it doesn't have an axe.
@@CriticalRocket I gotta check. This gives me very heavy Ideon vibes. Edit- It is indeed like someone took an angle grinder to the pointy bits of ideon.
So if the small laser is in the head under the cockpit I guess you could say whenever it fires it the pilot is giving someone a raspberry?
Give that man a like and a hearted comment
Laser Snot :)
I'm mot saying the Black Knight is the wheel, but the Gallowglass is certainly reinventing it.
Ah, Maeve Wolf, that character deserve more time in the limelight.

Not to mention that any gunnery 2 pilot out there is a wizard in any 'mech but a sniper 'mech becomes the angel of death at that point.
@@CriticalRocket : Yup!
that's where they get ya. the tros.
The head looks a bit like few designs from 1983 Blue Comet Layzner (one of the best OP songs in my opinion)
Most of this can actually be used and played with in RogueTech. Amazing game.
Love the name of the mech
It does sound cool doesn't it. Old Irish word for foreign warrior or basically mercenary.
another heavy laser boat like the flashman, black night or grasshopper. plenty of pew for your lasering needs.

What is not to like with a Laser Boat? No supply line issues, and can operate for extended periods behind Enemy Lines with little support.
Love the Gallowglass on the table but it's original artwork is kinda goofy looking. The redesign definitely did it justice.
Matt Plog does wonders with the old designs.

Ok useful

👍🤙✌️
What anime is this from? I know this comes from somewhere.
It is vaguely similar but I don't think this is a licensed 'mech from any anime. It just looks heavily inspired by it.

Original art---Gawd awful artwork. Newer art is much better
