I just wish the drills would have been usable 😿 I really wanted to do that one. I may order my own drills from somewhere else someday. But I have plenty to keep me busy 😂
Awesome collection! I started diamond painting at the end of October 2023. I completed 3 by Christmas and have 3 WIP right now, one is a round my son bought me for Christmas, one is a square from DAC, and one a round from Dreamer Designs.

I hear you. I have had several canvases from DAC w/ glue issues. It is annoying to say the least. They should do better. Budget kits have better glue. Maybe they will improve the process. You are lucky they offered anything but I agree about shipping. Why would they even make you send it back? Ridiculous.
They did let me keep the drills, which I thought was odd. I have no use for a bunch of round drills 😂 my husband said I should have cut the canvas into smaller pieces so it fit in a smaller box and would have costed me less. 😂DAC is good, but I like that other companies are coming out with just as good products as well. I’m really trying to spot light those this year, they don’t get as much attention as the bigger ones.
I love how you were modifying things from the beginning. Beautiful finishes! I am a prolific diamond painter. 132 finishes in 2023. 87 full drill and 45 partials/special drill canvases. I have so much fun with this craft.
I love the Lama log book. 😂 . Modified creater only months in❤. I love Abstract Cat George. I love the look of Read me a bedtime story for its stain glass effect. I love the butterfly with girl with a gun. Its very relatable to me. Oh, the tree is gorgeous! The cat in the top had is fun! I love the bird on his hat. Jasper Sea 2 words. Freaking Beautiful. Geseminie ( sorry I butchered the title). I adore that and must do that one. Did momma Peep like Tweety? I hope so. Did teenager peep like Garfield and Ottie? We do learn about the different companies as we go. Sometimes it’s helpful if someone else can give their experience, but you never know for sure. I’ve seen other YT channels love Craft-Ease, and I feel like they failed 3 times with the same canvas image. 🤷🏼♀️

I didn’t do them myself. I took them to Michael’s craft store and they did it. Some stores will do it and others won’t. It was only $10 a canvas, which isn’t too bad. I’ve wanted to try to mount one myself, but just never have done it yet.

Wow that is quite something that you need to send their stuff back on your cost! For something as expensive and "premium" like dac i would've expected better as well. But the paintings are really pretty ❤
That was my thinking as well. I can see a smaller company needing me to pay shipping to return something, but the Walmart of Diamond Painting could spare a few bucks, or just not make me return it. My hubby said I should cut it up into small pieces so it would fit in a flat rate envelope 😂 and it was my first order from them, didn’t make me want to rush out and place a bunch more orders right away.

About that 3rd painting, I loved that one btw. But I just wanted to mention that some butterflies are iridescent/see through. I realized this after going to a oddities show where there were a lot of butterflies lol. Soo maybe that’s what the artist was going for with that one butterfly..
That’s awesome! I see so many people beat themselves up because they didn’t do as many as someone else. As soon as I put expectations about how many hours I need to DP a year, or how many finishes I have, I know it will suck the fun out of it for me. As long as you are enjoying yourself that’s all that matters. 🩷
I dont give myself any numbers cause im on a very tight monthly budget. but i did say i was going to do 4 licensed pieces this year cause i have to save for them. if i do more great. i know with the budget companies i risk stolen are so im very careful with what i get.
The budget ones are a curse and a blessing. It’s nice to have a less expensive option, but the stolen images make me not want to support them becuase they are profiting off someone else’s hard work. I had a bunch reach out to me and I told them all I would pick what I was willing to show and tried to reverse image search everything well to make sure I wasn’t featuring anything that would get me in trouble. I don’t want to spend money on lawyers fees, I’d rather be buying diamond paintings 😂
Dry mounting is when you take your art/ project somewhere, like Michaels or hobby lobby, and they use a special type of glue and heat and it mounts it on foam board. Some people think it can ruin the diamonds but I’ve never noticed any damage. Only downside I’ve found is that you can’t separate the painting from the board ever. It’s there permanently.

Dry mounting. Hobby Lobby or another craft store that does framing will do it. It is a budget friendly option b/c it is on a foam board.
