Arnold has truly lived a full life. Mr. Universe, 7x Mr. Olympia, an author, has his own line of supps. Own bodybuilding contest, Actor, damn governor of California, and a great role model/idol. Not a lot of people, if any, can say the same for themselves. Very very impressive.

Arnold is showing off the places associated with his early struggles, not his later fame. Those are the times he seems most proud of and misses the most.
Not surprising really, he came from a very modest background. And of course he was very young when he first came to America.

I love it when he talks about Franco you can hear the love and respect in his voice. Growing up I was a huge Arnold fan of course but Franco was more inspiring and relatable to me because I’m a fellow short fella and learning his story and working out gave me self confidence!

It might already exist, if you buy a TomTom navigation device they have tons of funny voices you can download. I remember before smartphones we had the Darth Vader voice and an Old granny voice 😂
@@mongoose4960 I remember having a GPS-app with lots of voices, but suddenly there were just two or three "standard" voices. I'm assuming they got hit with a copyright infringement. And I'm guessing most others who try, end up the same way.
There was one for a short time before one of the Terminator movies. I had it and it was awesome. "Turn left human!" :D It was really cool.

Thanks for putting this together. I have been to Venice Beach a few times, but getting a personal tour from Arnold is absolutely the only way to do it.

There are so many people here who know how hard this man worked for what he has. I love how humble he is, and the passion he has to explain what body building is. I've always admired this man since I was a little girl , I remember reading his body building books at home since my stepdad bought them but never really worked out hahaha, great inspiration !

Just worked out there. Will never forget it. I’m no Mr. Universe contender or even a standout, but people actually stopped to watch me and my flaccid toned body and others, lol, just because we were lifting weights where Arnold lifted. Ty Arnold, Joe Weider, and the other pioneers.

He is 73 now. Reminds me a lot of my own father. To a lot of people (including me), Arnold was something of a father figure, and certainly a male role model.

Just finished watching one of Arnold's video series ( Tour of Venice Beach ) and it was just like riding along on a tour with one of the greatest bodybuilders in the world. l share a passion for bodybuilding that's as strong today as it was over forty years ago. Arnold has always been a bodybuilder who gives back to the sport, and in doing this helps in sharing his vast knowledge with all of us. Thank you Arnold.

Ironman the sad part is foreigners are excluded from holding the presidential office but Arnold cares more about America than 99% of Americans now. He’s a true American that took advantage of the opportunity here when those 99% are okay with just being average. I say we should let him run, maybe holding governor for a certain time should be a qualifier or something like that
All his accomplishments because he had a vision and the discipline to stick to it. Inspiration at its best.
After my first divorce I joined a gym and found out just how hard even doing a good workout is. Those body builders spend so many hours just accomplishing little things. I admire anyone who sticks with it year after year. The real payback is in your health. Do you sleep well, do you have any energy, do you want to be healthier? Try working out just moderately for 1 year. Dont over do it and dont hurt yourself but stick to it. You will have more energy, sleep better and find your health improving. Dont try it for 6 months and say it is not working. You did not get in the shape your in in 6 months so your not going to accomplish perfection in a short time. I never did any body building but just wanted to improve my health. I am 69 and try to work out regularly. For me it helps a lot!

He is so humble, so eager to talk about bodybuilding, respectful to his past, so hard working. He just clawed his way to the top and he deserves it to the end. I respect him.

Travelling down memory lane is truly nostalgic.
I loved Venice back then in late 60’s and 70’s and saw Arnold many times, but that whole area has become so densely populated and so expensive to buy property that everyone I know moved far away. California was wonderful back then.

Wow. Arnold is still larger than life even when in a video! I don't have a lot of reason to go to California, but he is someone I'd LOVE to meet in person, and it'd be awesome to be one of the people lucky enough to catch him driving around Venice Beach of all places.

I gotta say here that construction workers deserve more respect. They literally are the builders of the world. If it weren't more them we wouldn't be living in these comfortable houses.

Yeah 25 sets distributed amongst like 4-5 exercises ( I think )
I do 40 sets for 8 exercises. Then again, I'm 30 years younger than Mr. Olympia
20 to 25 sets were pretty standard for me and my friends when we were growing up. We'd mix it up depending on the groups we were targeting.
Bodybuilders do shitloads of sets. He probably used to do at least 40 back in the day. That's how you achieve hypertrophy
They didn't know about overtraining back then. They thought more is better, when it's not. Franco got criticised for not being as hard of a worker because he didn't work out as much but he had a more optimal training strategy even though he didn't know
