Ruka’s dancing is so sharp and for someone who projects this cool thug exterior, she is so compassionate. Every time she speaks of paying back the love she is given, my heart melts.

Ruka is my bias. She is super cool
We are all emotionally invested. Why should you be any different? lol In your last live performance video you asked us to tell you who our favorite (bias) is. Mine is OT7. Picking just one is like picking a favorite child. I love both my kids equally and like my kids, these young ladies each bring something special and unique to Baby Monster. So I choose all of them as my bias.
You mentioned the pain of seeing those around you practicing with you not being able to make it. In some of these videos, especially the birthday scenes or dance sessions, you will see there are some trainees with their faces blurred out. Those are the girls that did not make it to the final 7 candidates.
On Pharita, her English is the most fluent of the 7, she went to school at the Ruamrudee International School, the curriculum is conducted in English, and most of the staff are US teachers (a few from the UK). So her English will have a decidedly American sound to it. The YG videos do not show her speaking in English, only singing in English, but other videos from her other activities (pageants, etc) show her speaking perfect conversational GA (General American English pronunciation).
About Ruka and coffee: there is a sort of Korean cultural note on coffee, it is considered an adult beverage because quite a few years ago coffee and energy drink dispenser machines were banned from Korean schools, due to overuse by youth taking it to keep awake during cram school and there were incidences of heart issues. The government went as far as to ban it from schools. So since then, kids in uniform getting coffee would be like seeing a kid going to a bar in the western world. This has eased off more recently, but the prevailing thinking is still that coffee is an adult drink.

Someone told me from the comments, the trainees woke up around 6 am. They have vocal, dance training, ( Korean language study if the trainees are from overseas).
For the monthly evaluations, there are different people in present if needed, like the Seniors from YGE, promotion teams, vocal or dance instructors...etc...

They also learn Japanese language.
@@ignatiuschua5268they also learn English and Chinese… I’m sure there are other languages offered for them to learn. Basically trainee life is like college/school. Where they are there for like 9-12 hours a day.
@@SaGeForReal I don't think they learn Chinese. I heard Blackpink members trying to speak Mandarin. They failed miserably. Can only speak a sentence that they learn prior to be online.
It is going to be emotional, but worth it!

Ruka had been dancing for 10 years at that point not 4 or 5…
She corrected herself in the video hun. She said “she has been studying training for 4-5 years..” then not too long after that she said “but she’s been dancing longer..” so she saw the captions and corrected herself. 👍
