This video made me miss my Chinese family… but I also realize how much more scared my Chinese side of the family is to show affection & say I love you 😂
I feel you girl🥹 being in china last year really made me realize how much i’ve been missing out on the ”being raised by a village” life cause in the west everybody live their lives so centered around themselves and their own family. Hope you enjoyed your trip 🩷
I haven't been in China for 5 years, and my parents have a similar background as yours, so this video was like a warm hug and got me emotional at the end. Loved the video🫶🏻
I feel you. My parents left their family to move to America. I went back to China after 9 years, and I never felt so overwhelmed with all the reunions with people I never knew were my relatives.
this made me tear up because i relate to it so much my parents also moved to America and i was lucky enough to see my family this year after 7 years and this video was so sweet💞
aw I relate to your video😭my mom is an immigrant as well. Going back to her village makes me so grateful all the sacrifices she made. She went from living in a house made of dirt to a beautiful house in the suburbs☺️As First Gen Americans we are so privileged thanks to our parents🙏🏼🙏🏼
I rarely leave comments on videos, but it must be said that this was a truly heartwarming journey 💜 thank you for sharing those precious moments with us and hope that you’ll get to experience similar memories with your family in the future!
Love your videos, gurl! Being a first generation Asian American I felt this video on another level. It’s also always SO NERVE-RACKING to go back to the Philippines and see ALL MY EXTENDED FAMILY! I’m such an introvert so I totally understand your stress when you were anxious to meet your whole family! Love your videos, gurl! Maybe we get to see you do a solo trip to Korea, Japan, or the Philippines soon?!
I have a similar story growing up abroad. Recently, I visited home town and as you say it's a privilege to be in North America. So much respect for my mom who brought us to Canada ❤!
I was always jealous of people who were able to see their grandmas everyday or hangout with their cousins every weekend. Matter of fact they also went to school together too. It’s sad especially when I barely knew any people from my country. We really just moved away for a good job offering and to expand my moms job education
Your video is so interesting and touching. It raises a question in my mind. How do Chinese people who are in US since a small kid can maintain their culture? Do you guys really connect with your origin like playing traditional games (Fight the Landlord i guess)?
Translation think your aunt said stir fried beansprout not 100 percent but from the looks of it either looked like stir fried potato sticks or bean sprouts
China GOATED....Crazy how even though it's a collectivist society, when I go there I feel more like an individual and more human. Like if I make an a$$ out of myself I'm just one idiot and didn't just bring down my entire race. lol. And I'm grateful to the people there who gave me the time of day and gave me the confidence I should've had earlier...I miss the motherland, it straight up healed me :'>
Even white Americans or gringos are immigrants, but they don't accept it. As a Latino from Central America, I consider the United States to be a universal land of immigrants from all over the world, where the few native Americans who live there are not also owners of that land, the United States, or that land does not belong to any ethnic group.
You're not living in cities in China. Village people used to have a good image of the US but mood changes when you live in cities as they're more exposed to the world media.
what is happening our brothers and sisters are dying in gaza and you are eating in kfc omg it does not mean to be muslim to stand with palestine but it is about humanity free palestine
It’s a bit of disappointing that you didn’t show our viewers around the village but I got only one glimpse of it and seems the village is still quite underdeveloped and your grandfather’s house is the only good house in the village. I guess it’s your father financed the building of the house. Jiaxian in Henan is still quite poor and most young people left countryside and went to city to earn a living.
As someone who also grew up abroad and not in China, being the only part of the family to move abroad, this video is so heartwarming and relatable ❤
This video made me miss my Chinese family… but I also realize how much more scared my Chinese side of the family is to show affection & say I love you 😂
My Chinese parents never said I love you once but I can definitely tell by their actions. Action speak louder than words.
你已经和中国无关,中国也和你无关
This is why white families are better. I envy white families.
Great to find you here!

Not West, cities. You'll definitely see the same thing if you're staying in Shanghai or whatever
I haven't been in China for 5 years, and my parents have a similar background as yours, so this video was like a warm hug and got me emotional at the end. Loved the video🫶🏻
中国和你无关,你也和中国无关

You have a wondeful family. Is very difficult move to Unite States from China. You're the luck one and you worth it.
Your video is so interesting and touching. It raises a question in my mind. How do Chinese people who are in US since a small kid can maintain their culture? Do you guys really connect with your origin like playing traditional games (Fight the Landlord i guess)?
Love this for you queen 🫶
😮😮😮, so, she woke up, set up the camera, went back to the bed, and did the waking up scene for us... aaaaaaaaawwwwww.

Ma gosh my bff is also a Shanshan and her parents are also from Sichuan!!! Her "Shan" refers to a certain type of tree, translating to fir or cedar.

感觉还行。中国缺少对农村的规划,显得杂乱无章。
