    Maybe it's because I'm getting older or something.. I've seen tons of accurate, dramatic representations of the sinking, be it highly detailed animations like this or the films, but this one got me very emotional. What a wretched sight that was. All those people, and the terror.
    Rest in profound peace.

    4:30 wow you can really see how gigantic the titanic was compared to a person at that angle. It must have been horrifying seeing such a titan filled with so many lives on board disappear beneath the waves. To know that your now in the middle of the dark freezing Atlantic Ocean with no rescue is petrifying.

    Awesome animation! As scary as this is, now re-watch it with your monitor turned off to have a little more of an accurate portrayal of what these people were able to see while all of this was happening! 😱

    Something that’s never really spoken about is… out of the 1,496 people that didn’t make it, I imagine a good fraction of them had perished in the ship, drowned, being sucked into the ship after funnels collapsing and the break, died from injury from falling/being fell on… with a number left exposed to the cold after the ship had vanished into the ocean.

    3:57 At this point, the near vertical stern was the height of a 15/20 story building.
    If you let go, that's a long way down. And you don't know if you'll hit anyone or parts of the ship. And it's pitch black, which makes it even more terrifying. 😢

    • @EversTrainz
      @EversTrainz 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Worst part is even if you clear parts like benches, deck cranes and people, when you hit the water you'll either die of physical trauma or of cardiac arrest from your body entering into shock from the freezing water

    Kinda against his theory, since it broke into 2. Not 3 or 4.

  • @Wolfric_Rogers
    @Wolfric_Rogers 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    This doesn't look much like what's in his video; this more like H&G's theory.
    His theory has the stern section gains an aft trim and the aft end of the bow section get pulled so far out of the water that the base of the second funnel becomes visible again.
    Looking at his breakup video again, his theory is utterly impossible...

    • @IloveCruiseShips1912
      @IloveCruiseShips1912 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I saw his video and it does look like that happens. Though it could have been an animation error in his video. It has happened to others where it rises too high or goes too deep.
      In the next shot in his video, it seems to be further down.

    • @Wolfric_Rogers
      @Wolfric_Rogers 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The depiction of his theory in his video isn't an animation, there's no way it could be an error.

    • @TandMe
      @TandMe  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      From what I heard in the video it sounded very similar to THGs but I may have gotten something wrong

    • @IloveCruiseShips1912
      @IloveCruiseShips1912 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Wolfric_Rogers He could have accidentally made it too high up. I have made similar mistakes on PowerPoint. I don't know which soft where he used in the video. His theory also seems to be 20-25 degrees with the pivot point similar to OASAG and water being halfway between 2nd and 3rd funnel. Though it does seem to be more submerged in next shot with only bit of the bow above water swinging down a bit.

    • @Wolfric_Rogers
      @Wolfric_Rogers 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He explains in the video that he places the pivot point under the fourth funnel. I don't know if we're thinking of the same video.
      I'm talking about Inside Titanic's Catastrophic Breakup.
