Love my kei van. Just so you know they live best in the high rpm’s. That’s how you get any power out. Also the ac will about half your already tiny amount of power. 😂😂😂 but they are so fun! Can you believe I am 6 foot tall and 350 pounds and daily drive mine for the last year. Poor little van 😅
LOL!! Yeah when I get up to about 60-65mph it sounds so loud.😂
2:45 - I love the look of that gray Hijet mini truck. That's what I hope my Hijet will look like after I give it a Medium Quartz Gray Monstaliner polyurethane bed liner paint job inside and out, hopefully this fall. The gray Hijet shown in the video was apparently painted gray using automotive paint and not bed liner, and it was only painted on the outside with the inside still white.
I love my Hijet 4WD mini truck, and even though I still have probably 70% of the upgrades to do on my mini truck, I'm getting an obsessive desire for a 4WD Hijet kei van. I can't even come close to justifying it, but I want it. Badly.

They’re unique and so fun to drive. I love the fact that if you take a drive anywhere in the US you’re most likely not going to see one, so it’s fun to own one.😁

I believe they do. From what I learned, I think the automatics don’t go quite as fast..? However, mine only goes about 65mph,so not much better.😂

FYI, its common for insurance polices to deny coverage if you are renting out your vehicle....if you are serious about doing that, get a policy that allows it.
I actually already got insurance! It wasn’t too bad, but you’re right… some agencies don’t even entertain it.

@@gameovergang2934 - GEICO wouldn't insure my Hijet kei truck so I switched to Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance... and saved some money in the deal. I'm no longer paying for millions of dollars in gecko spokeslizard ads.

Depends on which state you’re in… here in SC they are. I’ve heard some states don’t allow it.

Well, not sure of the top speed, but 65mph is about the most you can comfortably drive it for longer distances lol!

K-Car shifting can be done from 2nd gear.

@@sippywyatt - My 4WD Hijet is geared so low, so it can start on a hill with a heavy load without stalling, so when it's empty on flat or downhill slopes I can start in 2nd gear. I'll sometimes roll a stop in a parking lot and never quite come to a complete stop so I don't need first gear. My Hijet has the HI/LO transfer case. In low range, idling in first gear is so slow it's nearly unstallable and I can walk faster than the truck is rolling. Wound out, it's maybe going 5 MPH. Even in the high range that I use for driving on road, I'm shifting into third gear before I've cleared an intersection at a traffic light. My Hijet is a 5 speed so it'll go 70 MPH, although I usually drive it on larger secondary roads at around 60 MPH.

@@sippywyatt Korea now. When I lived in Japan, I had many cars but my favorites was my 99 Suzuki Wagon R because the size and the back seats folded flat. Then I sold it and bought a 99 Diahatsu Move Turbo. It was zippy but the back seats didn't fold flat.
