It is indeed a new song. They have an album coming out this summer, so there is sure to be more. This one is co-written by Mike Enzigier from Incubus, who the ladies met on tour and became friends with.
this song was co-written with Mike Einziger founder and guitarist of Incubus. Band-Maid opened for Incubus recently in Tokyo and Mike joined them on stage to perform this song. coming up for Band-Maid they will be welcoming The Warning(from Mexico) to Japan and will perform with them on June 12 in Tokyo. so many good things happening with Band-Maid including a new album this summer. this was also the first time writing in 100% english for Miku cheers

Yes it's a more "pop"/radio friendly song, which some BM fans are not a huge fan of, but it open more channels of non-Rock fans for Band-Maid to appeal to. It's very paletable for non-Rock fans and hopefully gets them to explore more about the band. And like many other new reactors who are not into Rock find, if they give Rock via Band-Maid a chance they actually enjoy it. This just falls in line with the Maids quest for world domination. For me it is one of their weakest songs. Sounds like standard USA radio music, allmost without all the maid's magic.
It does sound more “pop”, but I think it still has enough of their signature on it. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the album
