Genesis with Gabriel: "Firth of Fifth" (something in that song for everyone)

Phil IS one of the best drummers ever. Very subtle, smooth, and groovy. Genesis is a great band of musicians. You might like ABACAB live. Drums, drums, drums.

How do you feel about Hawaii Five-0? Do you agree with me about the format it was released on, or am I making much ado about nothing?

'Assault and Battery' for some great Phil Collins drumming (with Genesis). Peter Gabriel - Firth of Fifth (Blues + Country = Rock Rock + Jazz/Classical = Prog. You can hear the classical influence here. This also has some subtle but great drumming) or Supper's Ready (quite proggy and it really grows on you with multiple listens)

Mushroomhead came out with 2 new songs. One is called “Fall in Line” and the other is called “Prepackaged”. Then the band As I Lay Dying has also 2 new songs. The first one is “Burden” and the other one is “The Cave We Fear to Enter.” Plus check out some of these songs out by Imminence. Some songs like “Continuum”, “Chasing Shadows”, “Alleviate”, “Heaven Shall Burn”, “The Sickness”, “Paralyzed”, “Heaven in Hiding”, and “Ghost”. These bands are amazing. I’m sure you did some of these bands or maybe even all of them. Any of them that you didn’t do. Could you please check the ones you haven’t done yet. I apologize. I'm not a huge fan of The Smashing Pumpkins... I like the album Adore (the followup to Melon Collie etc) better than the double album. The first song on Ava Adore, "To Sheila" is my favourite of theirs. The song "Ava Adore" is also very good, and its video is great. I agree that the bad took a turn for worse when D'arcy Wretzky left. Two requests: _anything_ by Anna von Hausswolff (a Swedish musician) , e.g. "The Mysterious Vanishing of Electra" or "Deathbed" "The Carnival of Rust" by Poets of the Fall (a Finnish rock/pop band), preferably the official video. Anna von Hausswolff is more out there musically and may be something you have never heard.

John Deacon wrote this after jamming in the studio with Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers from Chic, so that's where the disco inpired baseline comes from.

I love everything Genesis and Phil Collins. Play on. I'm listening. Thanks guys.

DON'T STOP NOW!!! I don't know if you've heard other YES ESPECIALLY 70's YES. CHANGES might give you a slight taste, but it is a FAR WEAKER song on the YES virtuosity scale. 70's YES with the CLASSIC 5 musicians makes a good 80's song like this one sound-like Child's play as they do to most bands during that decade during their heyday! ROUNDABOUT was a big Hit then and a good place to start but YES weren't about making mainstream commercial music. They were originally extremely groundbreaking and adventurous: HEART of the SUNRISE, YOURS is no DISGRACE, PERPETUAL CHANGE, STARSHIP TROOPER, and Ultimately when you're seriously ready CLOSE TO THE EDGE album and beyond. These will text your musicianship mind on every level! Ignore all until you've experienced YES from 1970-1977! WORD!

No doubt that Freddie was a master showman, and Roger, John and Brian are all accomplished in their own right. What other Queen songs should we listen to next?

Try the "Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" from Gabriel's last record with the band. More rocking then the first couple of records

Late 70s/early 80s Genesis is significantly different from early to mid 70s Genesis. They brought the synths more to the front and they changed the drum sounds. They also wrote many more short songs! I like both eras equally but I know there’s a lot of the older Genesis fans who take a strong dislike to most of their post-Steve Hackett era (when they went down to 3 recording members). This is just great song. I think pretty much all of Duke, Abacab, and Genesis are perfect albums. Invisible Touch was a commercial peak, coming after the Genesis album. By then, Phil’s solo career was also in overdrive.

Eric Singer was better in Badlands. Saw Tommy live when he was with Black N Blue. I get that the money was good, but I'm not a fan of them using Ace and Peter's persona. Wished they just made their own like Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent.

My late husband was a KISS fanatic he was also a member of the KISS Army ... we saw them 5 times between 1999 ans 2015 this is the first time I've listened to KISS in 5 years❤❤❤
