THE SHIELD - A Show Where the Cops Are the Criminals
What happens when the ones who take an oath to serve and protect are the ones who cross the line? Well, The Shield is a rather unique show that explores that. Vic Mackey and his team definitely put the bad guys away, but they also do a great deal outside of the law for their own interests. And it gets even more entertaining when things spiral out of control.

Escape From New York - Dark, Gritty and Just Plain Fun
This song changed everything. And, made the RICKENBACKER BASS shout it’s glory by it’s aggressive sound.
THE prog-rock band.
Don’t be a hater. The song is beautiful not because of its complexity but because of the beautiful delivery.
@@shaygirl3774 not being a hater at all. I just stated the song isn’t for me. I like plenty of work they have done in the past, just this one doesn’t touch me. No hate to them or anyone who likes it.
Do you agree with myself, Caz, or fall somewhere else on the spectrum with this song?
Take advice from someone who’s been a YES fan for 50+ years- listen to everything in the 70’s to know the best part of this band. Be prepared for “long” songs that feel like time flies by. They were the best. Albums: YES Album, Fragile, Close To The Edge, Relayer, Going For The One. All great music. Some even before these.
You talk over the top part of the song why don't you just listen to it
I never knew that the ron Isley and chante moore music video was based on this movie.
U guys have to react to Abacab 1987 live from Wembly Stadium from Genesis. U guys will not be disappointed.
This song was inspired by a real event when singer/lyricist Robert Smith's house burned down. Among the wreckage he found a picture of his wife Mary, that had escaped the fire. All The Cure love songs are about Mary, they met when they were teenagers and they are still together.
He was the drummer for Eric Clapton on his 1986 tour.
My all time favourite solo and with Genesis. He is incredible.
What are you talking about: th-cam.com/video/Vr5PPsoK_F0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XAoxCt4Oqf8q4Yd0
Everyone that grew up with Genesis in the 70s knows he’s One of the best.
Você Ellen tem um talento entanto 🤘 parabéns pelo seu talento você tocar estrumento muito bem sucesso sempre para você
Phil’s drums on Cinema Show from the classic Genesis recording Selling England By Pound, 1973, is among my favorite playing by anyone on the instrument, ever. Actually that whole album. His work on their next album, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is just about as good. At this point in time, Phil Collins was among the greatest drummers alive. The mid ‘70’s. I saw him live on The Lamb tour, and he was stunning. Astonishing. All this while at the same time adding tasty backing vocals to Peter Gabriel’s lead vocals. A great musician.
Okay, does matter if it’s with Genesis or solo, what’s your favorite Phil Collins song?
Phil...Like China, Against All Odds, I Don't Care Anymore. Genesis...Heathhaze, Mama, Home By The Sea.
I have too many faves to list with Phil solo or with Genesis.
Yes is the Grandfather of Prog Rock
You could do a side-by-side comparison with Phil and Peter on Carpet Crawlers. That's really the only song I think Gabriel did as well as Phil on. Or compare the live versions of I Know What I Like. Both of those are Gabriel era songs that you can find videos of both doing. I guarantee you'll enjoy Phil on I Know What I Like. You'll see him do something you didn't know he could do. 😉
I have all of Sade's albums. My favorite album is Stronger Than Pride and my favorite song by Sade is Keep Looking.
What is your favorite song by Journey?
So many!! Still they ride is the one im obsessed about these days ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@ yes! That is a great one!!!
Anthony Philips was a great acoustic and 12-string guitarist who was the original guitarist for Genesis before Hackett. It can be argued that Genesis continued to attempt to emulate Philips' unique acoustic arpeggiating texture out of admiration for the amazing player. Songs like Cinema Show, Supper's Ready, and Musical Box have remnants of the Philips sound. His solo albums are awesome.
A show where the cops are the criminals? Yeah... The Shield was actually reality TV.
@@WILLNOTCOMPLY72 🤣🤣🤣 you may have a point there !!!
Can't play it to us in mono..we want to jam along too.
George Michael, the king of covers 💜
Please check out the live version from the BBC Parkinson show from 1998...flawless 💜
Ok guys, if you could only watch one police drama ever again, what show would it be?
Sound advice for young women.
When it first aired I was 19yo great times.
Great show, still the best intro also.
Who was your favorite character on Miami Vice and would you watch it today if the show had a revival?
The excellent musicians you mention like Bill Bruford, Daryl Stuermer and Chester THompson, joined the band on tours, as live Phil Collins had to sing now and then and Michael Rutherford could not play guitar and bass at the same time.
I love #genesis
Good 🔥
Wow
Hey guys, check the live version of this from the parkinson show in England, beautiful stripped back rendition
Geniuses don’t need long to write great songs.
Not sure if Andrew is really singing on the original! That is layered vocals of George Michael. 🎼🎵🎶
I'll be honest. The brass instruments make this song and his vocals. I personally think this is better than the original. Btw, Andrew played guitar. He can't play the sax. 😆 George was smart. He kept his musicians throughout his career. May he and Deon RIP. You going to keep the Wham! train going?
In Europe it was released as his second solo song. Also worth listening to is the live version on the BBC Parkinson Show in 1999.
Great song. Top notch performance.
@@terrykemp1876 he always was an amazing songwriter. Thank you for watching!
Fantastic band! Please don't forget to give the boy in the black shirt some aspirin and cough syrup... at one point in the video I thought we lost him.
How many of you were fortunate enough to ever see Wham! or George Michael live? Will we ever get a proper live recording from the boys?
I saw both. So blessed.
I was blessed enough to be on the audience of his performing at Rock n Rio. The concert of hope organized by the late Lady Di has George great live vocals/recording. The MTV unplugged is also a masterpeace. th-cam.com/video/1URjGNxhnsM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rOpX6EiNj451M9BH
@@leslapins7617 I'm insanely jealous. Seriously. Need thorazine drip STAT. 🤣
Alright Sizzle Gang! What’s your absolute favorite George Michael song?
This one! Just for an interesting tidbit, in the video, he's wearing extensions. He had just cut his hair into the "Faith" style. I may be incorrect on this part, but I think the song was a sleeper hit for him, so he rushed to put out the video, hence said extensions. I know that he was wearing them, but this old lady is not remembering the reason. Spinning The Wheel is a very, very close 2nd.
@@rowanmayfair9249 In Europe it was released as his second solo song. Also worth listening to is the live version on the BBC Parkinson Show in 1999.
@ wow!! Never would have guessed about the extensions! Amazing song and his songwriting skills have always been great.
This one.
Praying for time is my favorite. But he has done so many amazing songs!!
This song is on the setlist at the Sphere. That sound system, with its 167,000 speakers, makes all the Eagles tunes sound even more phenomenal. And it was fun to see Henley playing giant kettle drums!
What do you think, is this a movie you’ll see at the theater, wait until streaming or pass all together?
The first TRAILER makes this MOVIE THEATER worthy !! So yea - I am going to see it LIVE.
The drummer and lead guitarist left after the second album, and that’s where Collin’s and hacker came in the others were drummers that played live while Collin’s sang !
Never gets old. Never ceases to amaze. Never ceases to impress. And yet, like you said, no one overshadows anyone, every part is understated. But it all comes out as a Prog masterpiece.
The live version from Seconds Out, was the first song I always played on any new stereo system.
Remarkable song where Banks is absolutely killing it on Piano, Synth and organ and then Hackett has one of the most memorable guitar parts ever. Collins is killing it behind them and Rutherford and Gabriel are wonderful but somehow this is the Hackett show.
