Honestly, it helped me so much to just turn in off completely, I do reverts now by pushing both my sticks inwards and turning a direction with my triggers 💯 so much easier and you’ll never accidentally revert trying to make adjustments with the triggers
For the shop line before you're flowed by No Comply, I skate goofy and I just had to tool around a few laps until I got the right angle. It doesn't seem to matter which ledges you hit as long as it's within the squiggly lines.
Watching you complete these missions so easily makes me truly see how much of an amateur I am at this game, but I'm going to keep pushing! No Pun Intended. I'm definitely going to come back to this series when I'm done with all the missions!
The most difficult for me thus far was definitely the daewon mission "rock ride." The hardflip down just wouldn't register for me, but a rogue ollie counted lol. And it's not really a "mission" but as a goofy stance boi the end of the welcome to hell line is just brutalizing me. That BS 50-50 gets me every time.... Loving the game though!
was literally just stuck on the full cab part of the skate shop mission (as a non irl skater who's into skating and skating sims); the fact that its not in the skate guide drove me nuts!!! thank you for explaining that its off the nose and not the tail i feel like such an idiot.
I’m goofy and after about 45min of trying this challenge, I just dropped a flat bar and did it that way. Switch flip can be done on flat, but that nose grind…jesus
To answer the question in the title of this video: YES. It is STILL the most difficult mission in the game. That being said, it never got in the way of me enjoying the game... for the most part, as I have beaten that mission twice since, but It's STILL difficult to do the Switch-Nosegrind-Flip Out after the BS Full Cab Flip. I can do both the BS Tailslide & The Switch Kickflip on a more-or-less consistent basis, but its the Switch-Nosegrind-Flip Out that is my biggest issue, it's not a deal-breaker when looking at Session as a whole package but it still bothers me a tad.
Skate Shop meetup, i legit took hours to complete its, being brand new to the game and when that mission is so early one and doesnt checkpoint its legit one of the hardest, some tips to make it easier, is using the object dropper and using a rail and doing the switch flip on flat
that back nose grind fakie flip is killing me, also doesnt register the back tail sometimes, dont care tho game is too sick. definitely felt like was learning to skate again!
Ah you're making the same mistake I was, you cant do it fakie it NEEDS to be switch so left stick instead of right if you're regular. Also I think it needs to be a kick flip but not 100% on that
I haven't even played this game until the other day and I got through the pop shove it mission by just using my brain, lol. I just figured I needed to pop it first after it wasn't registering.
Thanks for the tips, I feel proud of myself clearing this challenge thanks to your tips. All your session content got me hyped for the console release!
I'm on goofy (didnt realize all the tricks were on switch so was stuck for a minute) and the full cab flip was the part i was hard stuck on but realized I had to use the trigger with the lean to do it (can be done while full stop as well without interrupting the mission sequence). As for the nose grind it doesnt matter where you do it on the bench you just have to execute what is stated. Also the kickflip can be done on flat without jumping stairs which I found out as I did not want to mess up after the nosegrind. I'm a non skater so learning within a few days is not bad I guess.
The Philly Jam where you "don't need to win, just have fun with the homies" but you still need to win to progress - that was the hardest up until now imho.. i struggled soo hard for 2 days, then a friend came by and we started talking.. i didn't really concentrate on the game anymore and well, had a 9.0 and took first, thinking to myself "maybe i should never concentrate at all, apparently it makes things easier"
After completing nearly ever mission on manual catch (still have a few stragglers), the Skateshop meetup line is definitely one of the hardest. I think Samarria's challenges are also really difficult too. They don't require specific tricks like the Skateshop meetup, but they require a line that includes obstacles that are tough to clear in one shot, let alone the 8th trick in a line.
The skate shop mission doesn’t require the nose grind to be backside, I’m goofy so I did it frontside. Also the switch flip counts on flat so I didn’t need to gap the stairs. The only missions that have given me a hard time are the manual missions, for some reason I’m having a hard time with those manual combos over things.
That line in Skateshop Meet up took me a good hour to land. That shit was so frustrating but satisfying to finally complete… so many times I was like “I’ll just stop and do this tomorrow” but I couldn’t put the controller down.
It doesn’t say Fakie cause a cab / half cab is ONLY Fakie. So you’re doing it right if it says Bs Full Cab Flip. Make sure it’s a Kickflip not heelflip
This last mission at no comply was where I said goodbye to the achievement. If it wasn't the half cab that I couldn't catch it was me bailing randomly in switch, the grind not locking in or the flip out would bail. It just became too frustrating. 😔 For some reason catching flips out of grinds to me feels more difficult than before. I'm getting better though, I think I could do this challenge in manual now. I'd just flip in a speed I wouldn't need to catch 😂
I’ve recently done all the historical challenges and then replayed through the story with manual catch on. I just now learned that I could double tapped triangle to get on my board switch…
Yo JL I just noticed that I wasn’t subbed to you this whole time 😭 my bad man, but I just wanted to tell you that I love your content and thank you so much for helping me get good at this game 🙏🏽 keep up the great work and I will make sure I never miss a video cause I got the bell on now !

while they're doing audio improvements and adding the new proximity based volume falloff/reverb stuff, it'd be cool if they made the payphones that you can answer actually ring lol
i just went hella slow almost a stand still tic tackin all over the place lol . gamed the challange but there was no way in hell i could do it in a line
Excited for future historical challenges videos 😊 Working my way through Philly and 1 of them seems to be broken but it is not broken. (For anyone stuck) it's Brian wenning DC video switch bs tailslide switch bigspin out. After hours of trying I believe the key was to not pop the bigspin out. Although i thought I accomplished that many times before. Anyways it was a fun pain in the ass
I cant get the nose grind flip out for the life of me. I noticed your right thumb stick is pointed up to get into the nose grind. For me I have to use my left thumb stick pointed up. And I can't pop out of it, let alone flip out of it. Is this a Glitch? I have my settings set to left foot/right foot but I've seriously tried this mission 100 times and the flip out of the nose grind is the only thing I'm struggling with. Anyone know of any work arounds or am I just missing something obvious? Thank you to whoever can provide some help!
I’m guessing since your left stick is Up that your normal stance is Goofy so your switch is Regular. All you do is flick the right stick to the left to Fakie kickflip out of the switch Nosegrind.
As a goofy skater I did the SW Back tail on the singular bench, full cab flip near the tree, flip back around, switch front nose grind the singular bench, then switch flip the stairs
This video explains exactly how to do the cab flip. Just apply what I say to the opposite stance (so my Fakie is in Goofy stance, your Fakie will be in Regular stance) still spin with your front facing the way you are going
These goals are comparing to the old school generation of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 and maybe Tony Hawk Underground 1 during the whole story mode has missions to making this sessions game of a different generation and series from Tony Hawk series!?
Copy exactly what I do with the controls and it should work, OR boost your pop height so you can just spin the full 360 easily. Make sure you are in fact doing a Fakie Kickflip and spinning with your front facing the way you’re going
@@JLNightmare thank you so much dude. I think I wasn't getting the fakie kickflip right. After practicing a few times and getting the timing right I made it happen. You're the man.
the last mission that gets you sponsored is not working at all on goofy on pc, As well as like 5 other missions leading up to that... shits broken, i had to switch to regular
Turn on the trick display maybe the tricks you are doing are not the correct ones. I am on the second half of story but that option helped me a lot on things I thought I was doing right.
I’m goofy and did the switch tail on the other side of the bench. Close to the wall. The switch nose doesn’t matter frontside or backside. I’ve also heard you can use the object dropper. To make it easier
@@JLNightmare Oh haha, it would still be a good video to see all the progress crea-ture studios has made and if you didn’t notice I meant tricks not trucks haha
skating goofy was weird bc we had to go on the inside of the bench for the BS tail slide. this mission took me forever for the soul reason that the Cab flip would never rotate all the way and would only count has a half cab
I forgot to mention this specific detail in the video, but as soon as you turn 180 in the air, the controls become Switch controls. So if you aren’t holding the sticks before you get to the 180, you’ll just stop the rotation because you’re now inputting the wrong way to spin. Input to help rotation after 180 and it works better. The new true stance inputs really messes with you haha
@@JLNightmare sure, especially for a video, but you mentioned regular stance, you just cant do the same line. so i had to do it on other obstacles anyway.
That’s a youtuber thing ;) I mention something to get people telling me about their experience with the challenge hahahaha gets the comments up lmao I was just curious what other people did for their lines if they were Goofy
Great vid as usual. What are your stats for this vid? I can't seem to manual catch my treflip to nose manual on ledges and pads at all. I copied your stats from the last vid but I still can't get it consistently. Any tips?
im goofy, you have to back tail the ohter side of the ledge. I did a switch fs nosegrind fakie flip and it worked. I didnt have to skate the opposite side of the bench. Hardest missions IMO on manual catch was this, the FDR bowl grind mission, daewon rock mission, and the philly local flip-in flip-out 3 ledges in a row. EMB jam was pretty tough too
I’m Goofy. Did the that last mission with the switch cab flip. It does not matter what obstacles you do the tricks on. I would switch back tail the bench that you do the switch nose grind flip out on, back cab flip by the stairs, nose grind flip out the ledges you did the tail slide on, then switch flipped on flat.
You having any issues with manny’s after the update? It seems like there’s a “dead zone” sometimes, i could just be trash too but I didn’t have as many issues “giving up” on a manual unintended prior to the update
Goofy skater here. Riding switch it doesn't matter for nosegrind because it counts for bs or fs. You did bs. I did fs for mine and it still counted. The only problem I had was the bs full cab. I kept doing it off the stairs and it wouldn't count. It only counts on flat ground. Also you can use any ledge within the marked area for grind. Don't have to use npc route. I had to use a different ledge for switch bs tail no pop.
I had to turn rotation speed way up to be sure I got the full cab on the skates hop meet up. I kept spinning JUST short of 360 otherwise, and it would only count it as a half cab.
So I have progressed pretty far into the story, well past the shop flow unlock, but almost everything in the shop is still locked. The only thing i can buy is the Dane Burman zero deck. I dont remember everything being locked this long prior to 1.0. Is there something i need to do that im just missing in plain sight?
Sooooo unfortunately you’ve encountered a glitch… close the game, go to this location in your folder explorer (don’t paste in search, paste in big left bar) %localappdata%\sessionGame \Saved\SavedGames Then delete the file: CustomizationSaveSlot.sav Load up session after
@@JLNightmare ahhhhh ok i knew something had to of been broken. I was fully ready to complete the story with the default outfit hahah. Thanks so much for the reply/detailed instructions. Hope the comment can maybe help others who have had this issue too
This happened to me. I thought I had to maybe get flowed first, so I poured all that time in only to have to start a new save. All good now though, and I'm loving it otherwise.
I like the missions in 1.0; there's a lot more to do than before, and the lines keep getting longer. The best trick competition is my favorite so far. Also, my character is loaded at this point, assuming he doesn't have to pay rent or eat. I'm considering buying out the whole store just because, even though I'm really not into a few of the decks. (I miss my purple piano key deck. What brand was that; cafe?) Also also, San Fran has some really long street sections perfect for racking up the meters for the manual achievement.
You need 800EXP before you continue. Pause game, go to skater logs, missions, then keep tracking new missions till you have 800EXP. Then you go talk to him
Its hard for new players but for people who have played for a while it ant that hard. Before 1.0 it was tough for the first several tries. Trying it after 1.0 it was easy. Ive never really found the missions too hard. That's why I hope creature bring multiplayer where people can create their own lines/gaps for others to try. That would be epic.
Yeah I’ll be trying that mission in Part 3 haha. No order really. Like the story auto gives you missions to do in the order that want but you can do it in any order as long as they are available to do
For some reason I had 0 issues with that mission. My friend was having trouble and I suggested he pop a little sooner on the rock & then try to do the out a bit later (this is how I did it) That worked for him so worth a try for anyone having trouble.
So the rock mission and skateshop mission have to be done to progress? I'm completely stuck now. Thanks for the tutorial. I thought maybe there were other missions because I see that when you go to choose another skater, they have 0 exposure, so I'm wondering what that is all about.
@@JLNightmare Okay, Wasn't sure about that, also was confused about the missions because I was saving the Skateshop mission for the end, but then I completed another mission, and Dane just says something like, "You're ready". So I thought there was another way to progress.
Thanks to this video I’ve finally did the mission of the switch/goofy line stuffs… turns out I was grinding the rail instead of the bench… I feel stupiees but hey at least it’s over and i can finally move on 🤘🏻🎃🤘🏻
I think im doing something wrong bc im goofy. im doing Right stick down, then left stick up and RT and the same time then both stick to the middle. ( Im using Frontfoot Backfoot too.)
It depends when you push the sticks inwards. So if you push them after you do a 180 in the air, then the inputs are reversed (so if you are supposed to push them inwards from your normal stance to turn Bs, push them Outwards after the first 180 rotation. This is because of True Stance inputs after 180.) What I do is just instantly push the sticks inwards at the same time as the trigger so that I register my input before it changes, so try that
I only had troubles with the pier 7 pad hop and the banks rail jam but the pier 7 mission was definitely a little glitchie but I got through the story mode pretty easily but I’m sure it helps to be a skater before you play bc the translation is real ❤

@@JLNightmare maybe that's it. Will try that later. It's just so frustrating that no one else seems to have that problem. 😅 Imagine riding bowls with broken switch stance, for example.
You can do the grinds and slides Anywhere in that area as long as you match the tricks. Some people even set up their own rails to do it. I’ve never had any issues getting it to register in the same spot as the cutscene

@@JLNightmare sure, especially for a video, but you mentioned regular stance, you just cant do the same line. so i had to do it on other obstacles anyway.
That’s a youtuber thing ;) I mention something to get people telling me about their experience with the challenge hahahaha gets the comments up lmao I was just curious what other people did for their lines if they were Goofy
i did the shop meet up and skate goofy, yeah switch tail was on the other side of the bench but the nosegrind doesnt matter about being fs or bs
It's definetly not the hardest mission. The skate jams are the pain of my existence. Nothing gets me more pissed off than the SF jam for some reason
Broooo the jams are rigged
I’m my experience from before, they weren’t that hard :p but that’s why my title is asking the question IS this mission still the hardest ;)
Hardest mission is in SF when you have to jump over two rails at the pier then down the blocks
what the hell, first, i just did this mission for a whole hour, watched your old video on how to do it and now u just upload doing the new one
Haha yeeeeaah I think that’s gonna be happening to a lot of people the more I start updating old videos 🤣
EMB jam was pretty tough too
So funny Bro :D Great Video!
Did u rember, in skate 3 there was an emote to affraid pnj ! 😂 It would be really cool to have something like this in Session !
You having any issues with manny’s after the update? It seems like there’s a “dead zone” sometimes, i could just be trash too but I didn’t have as many issues “giving up” on a manual unintended prior to the update
Mannys are fine for me. What I do get is the random Quick Manual when setting up for an Ollie even though my stick was fully pushed down
@@JLNightmare yeah I get that too
Goofy skater here.
Sooooo unfortunately you’ve encountered a glitch… close the game, go to this location in your folder explorer (don’t paste in search, paste in big left bar)
%localappdata%\sessionGame \Saved\SavedGames
Then delete the file: CustomizationSaveSlot.sav
Load up session after
@@JLNightmare ahhhhh ok i knew something had to of been broken.
Thanks man for the POP shuv it tips! Damn i was angry and stuck for days! Hahahaha
i finished the whole story today, but the last mission really had me out changing some settings after i tried for over an hour
I just finished the story and it was a blast
How in the hell have i never known to double tap Y to get back on board in switch freaking GAMECHANGER
On the skate shop meet-up (15:00) my switch nosegrind flip outs aren’t registering. Driving me up the wall.
Are you making sure to Fakie Kickflip out of the switch Nosegrind?
@@JLNightmare yep.
I’ve tried FS, BS, all different ledges, kickflips out, heelflips out.
I must be missing something.
Does the RMS tool work with 1.0 or will it be updated? And if that’s the case where can I download it?
the hardest is the 12 benches hidden mission near veteran plaza. not really hard, but one of the 12 grinds will ALWAYS glitch out.
I’m on Skate Shop meetup now and I’m putting it off until tomorrow when I have 4 hours before work to try and get it.
What brand was that; cafe?)
Also also, San Fran has some really long street sections perfect for racking up the meters for the manual achievement.
Was is it Bebop?
@@megabates9016 Yeah! Duh, slipped my mind for a minute. Thanks!
Your vids r entertaining 🤘
I did the sk8shop challenge. I'm goofy, took me like 10mins. Now at Philly doing some missions.
The Skateshop Meet Up mission doesn't work for me. When I talk to Donovan there is no cutscene afterwards and it still says I need to talk to him
You need 800EXP before you continue. Pause game, go to skater logs, missions, then keep tracking new missions till you have 800EXP. Then you go talk to him
I know you're tired of hearing this, But have you changed your settings now that some features work correctly?
Not really yet, still using the same stats. Only difference is I now have sync flip scoop speed Off
Donovan rides goofy and looks like he just did the nosegrind frontside. Maybe players would do the same? Seems simple enough.
The Daewon mission where you have to skate rocks is hell rn. Btw, is there a official order to make the missions?
Yeah I’ll be trying that mission in Part 3 haha.
No order really. Like the story auto gives you missions to do in the order that want but you can do it in any order as long as they are available to do
For some reason I had 0 issues with that mission. My friend was having trouble and I suggested he pop a little sooner on the rock & then try to do the out a bit later (this is how I did it) That worked for him so worth a try for anyone having trouble.
Are you doing a pressure flip or a pressure kickflip cause I used to not know the difference
6:42 I struggled with a different mission in .72 but I feel attacked
You’re hella good at this game 😂
So the rock mission and skateshop mission have to be done to progress? I'm completely stuck now. Thanks for the tutorial. I thought maybe there were other missions because I see that when you go to choose another skater, they have 0 exposure, so I'm wondering what that is all about.
The pro skaters don’t do story mode, so they don’t need exposure (it will always be 0) but you do need to complete missions to progress
@@JLNightmare Okay, Wasn't sure about that, also was confused about the missions because I was saving the Skateshop mission for the end, but then I completed another mission, and Dane just says something like, "You're ready". So I thought there was another way to progress.
Thanks to this video I’ve finally did the mission of the switch/goofy line stuffs… turns out I was grinding the rail instead of the bench… I feel stupiees but hey at least it’s over and i can finally move on 🤘🏻🎃🤘🏻
Is there away to keep the trick list on so you no what trick you have to do with out pausing ?
To see what trick you have to do next, click In left thumb stick. And are you doing the 180s the correct way it’s asking for?
I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one who struggled 😅
That manny combo was frie
Are you playing manual catch here?
It took me a solid minute goofy, manual catch on.
Everything after this has been smooth… except that rock mission
Yup, always play on manual catch :)
On the Bs 360 and Fs 360, I can't do it on goofy in recreating the trick you are doing but it says im doing a BS Ollie 360. I need help badly.
I think im doing something wrong bc im goofy. im doing Right stick down, then left stick up and RT and the same time then both stick to the middle. ( Im using Frontfoot Backfoot too.)
Do I have to reverse the inputs? like left stick down right stick up?
It depends when you push the sticks inwards. So if you push them after you do a 180 in the air, then the inputs are reversed (so if you are supposed to push them inwards from your normal stance to turn Bs, push them Outwards after the first 180 rotation. This is because of True Stance inputs after 180.) What I do is just instantly push the sticks inwards at the same time as the trigger so that I register my input before it changes, so try that
@@JLNightmare Im still getting a Fs Ollie 360.
Spin the other way.. left trigger for backside (in goofy stance) right trigger for Frontside
Think they will come out with deck snap since they have skate shops now??
I hope so
I only had troubles with the pier 7 pad hop and the banks rail jam but the pier 7 mission was definitely a little glitchie but I got through the story mode pretty easily but I’m sure it helps to be a skater before you play bc the translation is real ❤
Nice videos as usual 👌The impossible part is stuck here (Xbox), I struggle a lot to impossible, and when I do it doesn't even register it... Even on the left ramp 🤔
Is switch not broken in your game? When I play SESSINON on PC (Steam) I'm getting random bails when riding/pushing in Switch.
No, switch seems fine for me. Maybe try turning off Skater Physical Animation and see if that helps
@@JLNightmare maybe that's it. Will try that later.
It's just so frustrating that no one else seems to have that problem. 😅 Imagine riding bowls with broken switch stance, for example.
@@JLNightmare YOU sir, are a life saver! It seems to have worked. Dared to turn on big drop again and that glitch, too, is gone.
So that skate shop meetup won't trigger. I talk to Donovan and it doesn't do anything to start the mission lol. Jank
You need 800EXP before you can continue. Pause the game, go to Skater logs > Missions and track missions till you get 800
@@JLNightmare thanks for the heads up. So dang cryptic lol
On the 1pp mission the manny pad part wont register no matter what i do any fix?
I just wish the manual mission wasn't so difficult on the goddamn Swtich.
It doesn't help that the switch back tail hardly registers on that the first ledge. I had to do all the grinds on the same bench.
You can do the grinds and slides Anywhere in that area as long as you match the tricks. Some people even set up their own rails to do it. I’ve never had any issues getting it to register in the same spot as the cutscene
I’m stuck on the dang Daewon with the pressure flip. It isn’t even registering it. Regardless of which ever fakie 180 I do at the end.
Scoop the pressure flip (like I mention in this video) don’t do pressure Kickflip or heelflip.
@@JLNightmare thing is idk what’s going on with it lol. I kept thinking something no way this isn’t a pressure flip but the trick preview option says pressure flip. I tried both fakie 180 directions but no luck yet. I’m gonna save that mission for later.
The mission of Deawon with the pressure flip on the rocks and fakie fs 180 out just dosent work...
Could you tell what’s wrong with the skateshop meet up mission it’s not letting me go past the part where you have to talk to Donovan ?
You need 800EXP, pause the game go to skater logs and missions and keep tracking missions till you get 800EXP then go back to Don
@@JLNightmare ok thank you
The hardest mission is the one where you have to front 180 50-50 on a weird kink rail. Sounds easy but you’ll see
(Btw I have 0 experience with games like these)
