I’ve loved your videos. And tried to replicate the patterns. How do you prevent the dyes from bleeding into each other? I’ve tried thickeners, but it doesn’t seem to work.
It helps the dyes stick to fabric, loosens the fibers or something so the dye chemicals are more easily absorbed. Dharma dye company has a great tie dye instructions in their catalogue.

You can also make your own soda ash by baking baking soda in the oven for 1 (I think) hours at 300° F
