At first, I didn't want to move to Maple Valley. We arrived here in 1998 and now, we don't want to leave. It's been fun watching this town grow.

Yep. Bright in winter means more cold, no clouds to trap any heat. Things you think everyone knows!

Yes, unfortunately you are correct. When I made that video prices weren’t as high as they are today. I will be doing new videos to reflect todays pricing.

I don't know, but now we have a huge Amazon hub, built on what used to be a gravel pit.

Homes shown are in the price range quoted?

Hi Sandra. When this video was shot, those were the correct prices. However over the last couple years prices here have risen significantly higher. I definitely need to do an updated video reflecting todays prices.

People really like Maple Bars. Like a donut with maple frosting, not a tavern.

Maple Valley is so beautiful. One thing I will say that may need to be mentioned is inclusivity. Maple Valley is an area where Proud Boys have a bit of strong hold. Crime may be low, but intimidation attempts really aren’t low for people who don’t fit a very specific conservative and racial mold. Which is a shame. I hope to see that change.

Thanks for sharing this. Maple Valley sounds beautiful but the Proud Boys presence / intolerance is reason enough for us not to move there.

@@whachamacallitis Sorry to have to share a negative, but people are sometimes not real about what doesn’t impact them. Hope you find a good place to be.

@@VeVeJT23 Thank you so very much for sharing this information. Making a move from Texas to Washington is a pretty big deal/expense for us. We are looking at Lake Stevens or maybe Everett?

Thanks for letting us know. Real estate agents never mention these things. I am trying to find a place east of Seattle safe for my black husband and biracial daughter.

How does Maple Valley feel about ,non pan handling, homeless. I am coming home and starting a job in Lakewood east of the 5 Fwy, but I'm going to pay off bills between now and March 2023 before finding a rental home to live in. Lakewood is not a safe place at all, and I'm searching for a quiet safe place. I am an army brat and grew up in Puyallup but I don't remember Maple Valley. Just looking to sleep with both eyes closed.
