Fun fact for those who haven’t played the game yet: You could take off his mask if you had the costumes for it earlier in the game when ever you wanted but when it comes to in game cutscenes they always put it back on.
Hmmm…makes me think of Tales of the Abyss. One of the characters also has a plot-relevant design change that can be triggered early through costumes, but the game handled it in a comedic way. In Arise’s case, though, I think keeping things serious and putting Alphen’s mask back on for these scenes was the better way to go.
11:47 fun fact ,in the italian localization of this game ,they messed up the subtitles of that attack, instead of "Frozen ...." "Hammer!" (wich in italian would be something like "martello..." "ghiacciato") they put "Martello...." "Martello!" wich is just Hammer twice
This fight has my favorite one off boost strike. Rinwell is awesome and her snatching up a mystic arte just to send it right back is really cool. That and stealing her gods breath spell is fun
@@quatreraberbawinner2628 Each story boost strike? Most of this trigger at specific points in the fight automatically. The only one I think you really have to work for is the Dohalim one where Kisara has to block his charge at least once.
I thought the bosses were really fun! Rinwell gets so crazy broken that if they had an elemental weakness she would just tear through them the way she can do the final boss. As it is, they were fun and challenging without being too difficult (Vesperia) or too long and tedious (Zestiria and some of Berseria). I thought it was a perfect balance myself.
@@bhuwin6186 true, but I hate when devs are lazy and make these bosses have artificial difficulties. If the boss has crazy HP and unlimited hard hitting attacks. Then dont limit the counters to a timer. Otherwise you're dodging and getting in little attacks while waiting for cooldowns. I hate that.
Everyone but Rinwell died for me on the Boss’ last bar of health. The bitch kept spamming their Astral Arte super and Rinwell’s boost cancel stopped working. Glad I’m done with this boss fight. Maybe my strategy setting sucks. Tips anyone?
Love how the team has no issues with slaughtering entire armies of Renans and killing the previous two lords (and were gonna kill dohalim too), but as soon as it comes to killing one of the most evil people on the planet, they take the "violence isn’t the answer” route and choose to spare her 💀…
Guys....are we playing the exact same game? Rinwell is good but DEFINITELY NOT overpowered lol. WTF!? For some reasons she is way ahead of the rest of the party in leveling up in my playthrough lol. Odd....but oh well. She is still a great character. Still not overpowered though lol.
In Tales of Arise if you cast magice rapidly you decrease the casting time of all spell for example using Spread 4 times and then a high tier spell to reduce the casting time more then 60% with mystic crest even more. The good thing is when you run out of AG you can just spam evasion to recover your AG to cast more since while you recover you never break your magice combo mean you still retain your short cast time for your high tier spells.
There's something ehhh about the female lord being the only one that doesn't fight the party directly and instead calls a pet to do the battle for her.
Don't even get me started about how she's only one the characters decide not to kill for some reason. Balseph and Ganabelt were murdered with no questions asked, but now suddenly we have to have a message about vengeance and the worst punishment they had in store for her was imprisonment? Uh, ok game.
I'm not sure what you mean, she was casting spells left and right! If four billowing tornadoes aren't "fighting the party directly" then I'm not sure what would be. Sure she didn't come down and get stabby with a sword or whatever, but that didn't really go with her character, which in and of itself isn't problematic in the slightest.
@@skytiger215 Law mentions earlier how killing Ganabelt felt good in the moment, but offered nothing in the way of stemming his grief or anger. He sees Rinwell feeling those same emotions and wants to stop her from losing herself in the vicious cycle of revenge. It represents remarkable growth for both characters, and isn't coming out of left field at all.
@@basementbroadcast34 This could've been a good moment, but the characters seem to have forgotten Renan Lords are among the best at casting Astral Artes. If they TRIED to imprison her, she'd fight back and try to break out. In the end, another bad guy has to kill her because the heroes realistically can't be expected to contain what's essentially a super wizard. Revenge or not, this is a dangerous villain who should be killed out of necessity.
@@skytiger215 fucking thank you! I was like, "where the hell did that come from?! We killed the last two lords no problem but now suddenly they want to start preaching this bs" God i was mad when they did that. it was just...so fucking stupid!
Rinwell reading me a bedtime story :blah blah blah, you get the gist, sleep now.

@@KantaCrowe no you can miss some of them, like when you fight ganabelt, you have too use laws Boost strike 2x before it'll trigger the unique one

Recipe for arise bosses. Combine sponge with high hp and limit attacks to chip damage
Pretty much. Makes it kind of difficult to play when it comes to them.

Take a shot every time you hear "blah, blah, blah".
I say we step it up and make it a shot of Everclear to REALLY finish us off.
Watching omega fight a boss I just struggled with is night and day lol. What a mess I made of this fight
Too be fair these fights aren't very well designed and the AI is an idiot, I wish I could control all the characters
I had only Rinwell and Kisara standing...with no life bottles, it was epic but ugh
this reminds me of Rita´s "blah blah blah TIDAL WAVE" times
with a mystic crest it is pretty much that
