DIY Tack Trunk, I succeed at woodworking!

They say the best gifts come from the heart, but my heart is a cold icy brick of despair. So instead I made a tack trunk as a gift. I am one of the people who when making something out of wood always says "we are not making furniture". Unfortunately today we ARE making furniture.
This tack trunk was made out of 3/4 red oak, brass hardware, and quite a few visits to the first aid kit. Not only do we make a super sweet solid oak tack trunk, but we also weld up a stand to keep the trunk from getting that nasty barn-funk booty.

As someone who has NEVER attempted to make anything that really had to be square or look decent. It wasn’t too bad. I kind of want to make another out of thinner 1/2 wood rather than 3/4 just to store blankets or something in the house.
