It's nice because this helps you get over the fear of hunts and you get to learn the special traits of a few of the ghosts. Also you desensitize yourself from the spookies.

I always check the camera in the truck and use a video camera outside the fence to check for orbs before starting. I've got several Mimics that way and just easy xp and money. The Mimics always have orbs.
I like to do the 10x version, with flashlights and sprinting. So just with the salt and smudge. But just grab a flashlight and look for the bone after the first hunt. So if i smudge it i have the time to look for the bone safely, while i also have a timer up to check for demon or spirit, not sure if its more efficient
And while your looking for the bone u might notice some other stuff like if you get lots of sanity dropping ghosts events it might be worth gambling it on yurei, if ofcourse its not one of the obvious ghosts
Onryo you can place 3 candles and a crusifix, when all 3 candles are blown out and the crusifix prevents a hunt, you have an Onryo! ^_^ And take a Video Camera, you can check for Ghost Orbs from outside the map and easy Mimic if there is!
this run is about speed though. if you do that you will take 3x as long just to check if it is 2/24 ghosts, not as efficient as just doing 1 run a minute
You can go for the first map and go in with photo camera then find the bone, if there is a cursed object take a photo of it. Then quickly try doing objectives and let it hunt you when you are in the kitchen, use an incense to protect yourself and try to figure out the ghost by its flickering, speed and sound. Might take 10 mins at ametour. You can just go for the objectives and the perfect photos then leave
Honestly I'd say just enjoy the game and the fear along with it. Learning to survive hunts is more important than leveling up in the beginning. Eventually you get numb to ghost events :)
Doing professional or nightmare in small maps its the easier way to get 1k~1.5k every time you get the ghost right and you should be able to get it with no hunts or a quick hunt. Depends if you have salts, incense and cameras. Cant lie i got lucky with the bone cheese era. Xd
When they say 'blinks more', that means it's visible during hunts more! It's weird phrasing, as one would assume blinking is when it's INVISIBLE, but it's the opposite.
Just in-game brightness to max and fog weather helps you see enough. Maybe turn up your monitor brightness. For the purposes of this video I also increase the brightness so it's easier for viewers to follow along.
For sure, I have a 2 minute video on the Onryo showcasing it too! I don't think it's worth the time because you have to get candles to the ghost room too
@hydrasung true that, at the same time you don't need all 3 candles! if you were to take one in you actually have enough time between the ghost trying to hunt to relight it and get the 3 you need

Always check the van cam for orbs 100% mimic aint even got to open the gate lol😂
it can be any other ghosts with orb evidence. It wont hurt to check if it changes its behaviour

I just checked the beginning of the video and he has evidence turned off, so checking the cam in the truck for Mimic orbs would probably work.

Sounds like you got Wraith, Banshee, or Phantom. They like to do that.

ghost orbs will show for mimic even in 0 evidence
figuring out the onryo would've been fully possible. maybe not in the way you were doing single hunts but all it would've taken is an onryo test

Prestige level doesn't reset unlocks like that
