What I am having a real hard time accepting is that I was rejected, and I would move on if it wasn't for the fact that they have sellers selling my designs, they stole from me. I had to file copyright reports several times. I can't sell there, but thieves, not only are allowed, but their stores don't get removed. It's really hard to look past that.
I got rejected and then closed my amazon shopping account. It won't affect them much, I'm just one customer but it made me feel better.

I got rejected, too, and I am getting ready to close my Amazon account because I have been so loyal to them for an extremely long time! My application was great, and I know it was! I was and still am very disappointed with Amazon for not being able to do the merch on demand! It feels like a punch in the stomach!

It sounds to me like Amazon is just not accepting new merch applicants right now since so many people have commented about getting rejected. This makes it extremely unfair that you can't reapply. If it was a fair system you could reapply again after a certain time period like 90 days or 6 months or whatever.
I totally agree to this Heck I would even be okay with come back next year kinda thing. I tried to apply and thought did everything right and got rejected. I also wish there was the explanation thing too cause sometimes makes u feel like a failure not knowing what u may have done wrong.

I got rejected too. Amazon is the only place that I wanted to try because I can trust the quality of printing. I cannot trust printing quality of other POD companies... 😞
Just so you know, I have ordered many shirts on Amazon that were poor print quality.

Hello Hannah, should one also use a different phone number when applying?or have people been accepted by just using another email with the same number or is it ok to use my main phone number apart from a different email and maybe using another browser? Is another browser necessary

Can I sell my POD products just as a regular Amazon Seller?
Merch by Amazon denied me sadly. I did Spreadshirt for a while, but get very few sales there. When I found redbubble I was so excited about their products and I started following other shops that I liked and had similar designs. Shortly after I followed another shop, my account was suspended with no explanation...so I guess my warning for others is, don't follow others. Maybe another artist complained about my art being similar to theirs and then the new little guy was immediately squashed. Who knows? Either way it was devastating after getting so excited that my art could be on a bedspread or shower curtain or wall clock. Redbubble really seems cool, but they dropped me. I've been trying ETSY for over a year and only have 10 sales....so I'm still on the struggle bus.

I have been seeing them talked about more recently, but I’ve never sold with gelato. As far as Shopify, I prefer using sites with built in traffic.
Thanks for the information. So I applied once and got denied unfortunately I had not watched The Helpful videos on getting accepted prior to that. My question is if I do reapply with a different email address, aren't they going to figure out that I'm the same person when they see my tax information? When I applied previously I didn't even have to fill out my tax information because they said they already had it from when I had created one notebook for Amazon KDP. It seems like there's just no way around that now😔

I followed her advice as well and got rejected. At the end of the day, it's up to Amazon. Beggers can't be choosers, and Amazon isn't obligated to give us their money.
Etsy is not, they are randomly suspending new accounts for no reason

Etsy is absolute shit. It has been suspending accounts left and right without notice nor reason (and not just new shops). My shops got suspended for absolutely no reason at all, I genuienly don't know which one of them caused the apocalypse. No policy infrigement, no copyright infringement (I'm VERY paranoid about trademark and do my due diligence) meanwhile hundreds of shops are posting Disney left and right, making bestsellers, with no consequences.
My appeal got rejected so there's that. I'm trying Amazon Merch now, here's to hoping I get in
I have an interesting situation. I was recently approved for merch by amazon (🎉), but the real shocker - and I’m not making this up - is that I was immediately placed into Tier 1000. I’ve never heard of this happening and keep waiting for the “oops, we made a mistake” email from Amazon. But in the meantime, I’m uploading every design I already have from other POD platforms I sell on and any quick ones I can think of. While I’m still in a state of shock over the whole situation, I will say I’m already a little tired of the TM research for each design. Honestly, it feels like every single word in the English language has been trademarked already… 😅
Anyway, I see a *lot* of Tier 10/25 advice on TH-cam, but very little Tier 1000 advice, especially for clueless noobs like me.

Wow! That is crazy! The nice thing about you being in a higher tier is you can focus on putting new designs up daily just as you would in a lower tier, but you won’t have to delete and cycle through them.

Amazon Merch is out, cannot even sign up without bad request errors... so not only difficult but impossible in NZ!

You could also sell through the seller central program via a manufacturing partner like Printify. That isn't something I have covered on my channel yet, but I have many videos on selling on Etsy too.

Does Printify ask for a credit card to cut upfront for printing on each order? I got rejected from MBA once and going to apply again.
Yes, you will pay upfront the wholesale cost and be paid by Etsy later.

I just filled out my application for amazon but when I tried to complete the application, I was able to hit the grey button. I tried several times. What does that mean?
Is printify through etsy drop shipping?
I have a 10 year old Amazon seller account. Can I apply for Merch with the same and do I stand a higher chance of being approved?
Also if my Merch account gets terminated at any point will it affect my seller account as well? (Currently I do Amazon FBA).
You can use the same info, but it won’t help or hurt your chances either way.

i did the same thing, with diff bank accounts, diff emails, google voice, diff emails, rejected 5 times and a professional t shirt designer

Something funny with Amazon merch, I was accepted years ago like 2016-17 but I did nothing with it. I recently reapplied and they denied me. I'm from New York, USA so it's not because I'm overseas or anything and I also have a EIN business ID because I created a company for my Etsy shop back i 2019 to collect sales tax. I know 100% Amazon Merch is a great opportunity and I've seen TH-camrs who are newer to merch and older with huge success on merch (those who know what they are doing). I have great ideas and understand all of POD has to really do with Titles and Tags and SEO, not just designs. Sell what's already selling pretty much and do it consistently. I'm starting my social media and my website soon for a brand I'm creating to show amazon while I work on my shop to sell on there also. I think they've become more selective and I personally believe most people accepted don't do well on Amazon or do much at all which is why they've become more selective.
You could easily only sell on Amazon merch and make 6 figures a year. I like expanding and having multiple sources of pay with a brand so I want to be on Amazon merch.
What a bummer! Is there any way you can access that old account? You might be getting denied because one person can’t have multiple accounts.
I work at Amazon, they are too many applications. We only accept a certain % of users the rest its an auto rejection.
How can I maximize my chances of getting approved? Is there a certain time/month to apply that would give the best chance?

Amazon will let every Chinese company sell the same crap as 25 different shops, but i have a legit shirt printing company in Florida and they denied me.
I just wanted to test out their PoD service since it is easier than ordering supplies and I have another business takes all my time.

I've reapplied to Merch by Amazon about 8 times, using different email addresses from my normal Amazon account, which I used on the first application that was rejected. After I get rejected, I close the account and after a few days recreate a new Amazon account. However, now when I try to create a new Amazon account, it wants a cell number in addition to an email address. I can't use my actual cell number since that is associated with my normal Amazon account. I also can't use my Google Voice number or a Burner mobile number, because the Amazon confirmation process use short SMS and those two don't support it. It has to be an actual cell phone number and I only have the one cell phone. Kind of stuck. I do have an Etsy shop, but wanted a Merch by Amazon account too.
I really wish Amazon would make the platform more accessible! It seems like sometimes the people who abuse the program get in and those who would really create great designs are rejected.
I found that I needed to clear my browser cache, then when I recreate my Amazon account, it doesn't ask for a cell number. It does ask for a cell number when applying for Merch by Amazon, but it doesn't stop me from applying. So, if anyone else has this issue, try clearing your cache. Crossing fingers for try #9.

I recently got rejected for my first application, im thinking about deleting my Account and the Tracking cookies like you do to reapply again, but i have a feeling there is no point in it.
Maybe you need a VPN and a diffrent device too
@@thom19c29 I was rejected on try #9. On try #10, even though I've cleared my cache, it still asks me for a cell number when I try to recreate the Amazon account after closing it and waiting a few days. I may try using a different email address, but I've been busy and this effort seems fruitless.

My guess is it works in cycles, sometimes they let people in based on Data, if there is more Traffic on Amazon, if economic conditions are good.
I say that becouse now it seems like everyone is getting rejected, 3x of my Friends applyed in the same week and they all got the same rejection the same day at the exact time, its a Automated response.
They dont want too many sellers/Designers if Consumer sentiment is down.
Supply (products) wouldent fit the demand with too many Designers
The only thing we can do is keep trying but having realistic expectations
The problem i have with redbbuble is its so ungodly slow. Do you also have this? Like not in sales but physically slow. Its like using dial up again. Ive tried multiple browsers, machines and ISP connections lol.
I haven’t noticed this besides with uploading products. Redbubble is certainly having lots of issues right now though.

I tried to re-apply and I was told that you can not re-apply once you have been denied.

Try sending the Amazon merch team an email asking to reopen. There are no promises they will, but it’s worth a try.

Try a different browser or using a vpn!
They clearly state that you cannot reapply. A VPN or different browser wont help. You would need an entirely new account, email, bank, etc
What happens with returns? Does the customer return them to you or Printify?
They can be returned to you, but on the rare occasion I get a return, chances are I will let them keep the item.

I typically make 3-10 per day, but there are many ways to do more: templates and scalable designs are great options.

I just told them that i'm gonna do on their platform(tshirt designs). At the time i din't have a store on any other platform. I applied about a month ago and my store was activated about 2 weeks later. I need to mention that i'm from Romania(Europe), maybe this helped.

What a joke. You make the print on demand on Etsy sound so easy. Competition is huge... I've done everything, followed everyone's videos and I. Just starting to see it budge. More people quit than make it.

Great video. Unfortunately one of my redbubble stores got suspended yesterday. I have appealed, so fingers crossed I get it back. 2500+ designs. I’m getting sales so its a bit disheartening. 🫶🇬🇧

@@johnphazey3051 For the past couple of months, many artists getting suspension emails just after they finish uploading designs on Redbubble. (Same happened in 2021)
I also lost my 1.5-year-old account with 700+ designs. After 20-30 minutes of uploading 5 designs, I received a suspension email.
