    What color are the rear speaker wires in the door pillar between the driver and rear door.

    • @keithzaczek1
      @keithzaczek1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure but all you need to do is just remove the door panels and test the factory speaker wire colors to determine positive and negative and the same twisted pairs should be in the B-Pillar.

    Hey bro what does this sound like the subwoofer is only working if I’m parked
    Or when I’m approaching a traffic light slowing down it’ll kick on. I’ve checked the cables in back seem ok. Ground wire I used a wire brush to get paint off then drilled into metal. Took the radio out rechecked those wires. It sounds like the amp is turning itself on and off or it’s not getting enough power to stay on while driving 🤷🏾‍♂️

    • @keithzaczek1

      You have a multimeter to check the voltage at the amp while music is playing? You should have more power while driving

    I’m trying fit my power wire through the grommet I’m having a pretty tough time getting through the second part of the grommet I think it’s hard plastic I even poked at it with a knife, any tips ?

    • @keithzaczek1
      @keithzaczek1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sometimes the grommets can be double sided . A easy method is to first go on the inside of the car pull the grommet towards you through the hole in the firewall make 1 hole facing you then try to mimick the same spot on the other side you can do this while still on the inside of the car once you've made a slit or a hole try and stick your finger through or a small screw driver and dry to see it poke through both holes once you've done that you can make the hole slightly bigger and then lube up your wire and start to feed it through the 2 holes and then push the wire into the engine bay and proceed to place the grommet back into the hol in the frame make sure you pay close attention to the grooves of the grommet so it seats flush around the hole so it's completely seated all the way around that way no water leaks through you can also add some silicone around the wire for added protection. Hope this helps you out VYL

    Q? Did you install the amp to the factory radio, I’d like to know if you did was a converter used and if so I’d like to see how you installed the converter on the Kia bcuz my 2020 only has rear door speakers none in the trunk

    • @keithzaczek1
      @keithzaczek1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I installed a loc behind the radio grabbing the front door signals. But removing the factory radio is not a basic simple task. You could easily just remove one of the front door panels pull out the door speaker test the wires to find positive and negative with a 9volt battery and then just find that twisted pair in the drivers side kick panel and take both pairs of wires coming off the loc twist the two positive together splice into the front drivers Door positive and the same for the negative and you will be all set. It might sound like a lot but the door panel and kick panel is way easier to remove than the radio. There are plenty of removal videos on TH-cam for either option. Hope this helps you out

    • @keithzaczek1
      @keithzaczek1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the kick panel loc install. All you would have to do is take off the front driver's side door panel remove the speaker and test the speaker to see witch wire is positive and negative. And then find that twisted pair in the kick panel area. Twist both positive and both negative from the loc and tie into the twisted pair in the kick and you've successfully grabbed signal and converted into RCA output.

  • @ap2708
    @ap2708 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Another quick question.. so how there was two little slits already on the grommet on the inside, did you just go through that and have to cut a hole through that slit towards the engine bay? Not sure if that makes any sense lol

    • @keithzaczek1
      @keithzaczek1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the idea is to make it through on both sides. Some grommets are solid all around some have areas that have wiggle room and can move the wires already going through it around. But the main goal is to utilize that grommet but making sure to damage the wires in the process. So if you see thr pre slit just finish making a slit on the other side. I 😂😂. I think we on thr same page

    • @keithzaczek1
      @keithzaczek1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea on the inside of the car start on on the right side of the grommet start to pry it out. The grommet has a pressure cut design in it to sit flush around the hole once you have it pulled into the car you can make the slit easier just be patient putting in back in the hole make sure there is no gaps around the grommet make sure it seals smoothly. Just feel all around it it should feel like a all in 1 piece after it seats back into its original form. Just be patient your hands will be sore afterwards 😂😂 but it's worth it in the end

    • @keithzaczek1
      @keithzaczek1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ap2708 you want to avoid any lines or gas tank underneath the vehicle but mainly a good solid part of the frame and make sure you sand away all paint if on the surface to eliminate any potential resistance. But the very best ground is to drill a hole in the bottom of the trunk run your ground through it come underneath the car and sand down the actual frame of the vehicle underneath drill a hole add a bolt and nut and add some of that dielectric grease you use on battery terminals to prevent rust and seal up around the wire that's the most absolute grounding option. But that's if your ground wire is long enough. If not there should be some bolt already there just make your own right next to it.

      You can run a pair of speaker wires off the front door speakers coming from the back of the radio just make sure you have bass blockers installed on your tweeters so you don't blow them ill post a quick video of the wire colors right now for you
