If you are a music lover seeing Nick Cave perform live is an absolute must. He has the most incredible relationship with his fans. I am 71 and have never seen anything like it.
@@martinlymer9535 Twenty or so years ago I was around 50 and a 30 year old friend turned me on to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and I have been a huge fan ever since.
when it start building around 5 minutes in, my crown comes alive, feels like it is shooting light -- white bright light! I am transforming and vibrating! This has an effect on me like the best of punk mixed with Mussorgsky. Amazing. Too bad we didn't get to hear your full reaction.
This is my favourite Nick Cave song. I remember the first time I heard it at the end of the 20,000 Days on Earth documentary (I'd gone with a friend and had never heard any Nick Cave before this) and I was totally blown away. Beautiful poetry and thoughtful lyrics. Nick and Warren are such talented musicians. I completely lose it every time the ending ramps up. I love it.
Audio issues start around the 3:30 mark guys, my apologies but it was hard to trash this reaction. I think I figured out the issue so we should be good going forward
I’ve seen Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds live 3 times and on every single one of them I felt like this out of body experience, when it ends you don’t even know what happened you still processing it. For me he is the greatest one alive
I’ve seen him three times as well. Best I can describe it is a religious experience, and I’m an atheist. His command or the audience is incredible. And he NEVER stops moving.
I listened to this song for the 1st time a year or so ago...I listened to it about 10 more times as soon as it was over. A song like this doesn't come around very often.
The first time I even heard of Nick Cave was seeing him and the Bad Seeds perform at Primavera Sound in Barcelona 2013. I’d never seen anything like it. Still haven’t.
I have been in several of his concerts, this song is a staple and everytime is like exploding and imploding, never felt more alive in communion with the rest of the people. Pure energy
I don't know why, but every single time I hear this song... it brings me some weird emotions. It's indescribable, I love it. You should check out Distant Sky (preferably from Live in Copenhagen) it's... haunting. Especially when you learn backstory of this song and album. Best regards from a massive Nick Cave fan, bring more of him to youtube reactions!
In his live shows it's like he pours his soul into his performance, then invites everyone to drink from the chalice. My partner understands that if he ever comes back to NC we're gonna have to get the really, really good seats. If we have to sell the kid off to pay for them, well sacrifices have to be made sometimes 🤣
Nick Cave is one of those guys who HAD to be a musician. It's just what he is. (He's a writer too,but the stories are better when he's actually telling them)
Brilliant song. Brilliant performance. Thanks for reacting to this, I second the comment below, it seems most people avoid reacting to Mr Cave. Good for you buddy.
I have a whole playlist of Dylan coming, I just deal with getting blocked a lot with him so that’s why I don’t upload his music as much as I would like to but you’ll see it sprinkled in
Thank you! Not enough Nick Cave reactions on youtube.
He’s really one of a kind 🔥🔥🔥
Agreeeee
This was hardly a reaction, no diving into what the song was about, disappointing in my opinion

And he’s been around so long the age range in the audience runs from teenagers to people in their 70’s. He’s a low key legend

A am so excited. I will be seeing him for the first time in September in Chicago.
That song gives me chills when it gets to the last few minutes. Nick is such a performer, one of a kind.

One of my favorite all time slow burn, big sustained crescendo songs ever.
Nick Cave is so good! Especially his live performances. He's one of the only artists where I prefer the live versions over the studio recordings.

One of Australia’s finest exports. Pure artist. Great viz cuz
Hi Teez,
If you look carefully on TH-cam, you can find the complete concert, its mind bloeding, like an spiritual experience

....dear heaven....thank you for showing this...amazing performance...

Nick Cave truly is something else. If you plan on checking out anymore of his stuff, I'd recommend the albums Let Love In and Murder Ballads.

He’s got such great songs & catalogue Nick Cave…not just with the bad seeds. Great showman. Great selection 👍🏻✌🏻

Saw him live this week and I don't think I'll ever see anything like that again

I’d love to see him live.
When you have the opportunity, don't miss it. I saw him 3 times, he always delivers. It's epic
Caveman is the best live performer... Live at rak session "kitchenette" is well worth a listen.
Have you reacted to the live performance of ‘Stagger Lee”?
such a stage beast...
Thank you!!
Thanks for the reaction, if you pulled down the video a little you'll see the interaction he has with the audience in the few front rows.
Hi Teez ❤️.
Hey Cay 🥰
Hey Teez. I put some requests in a year ago and am still waiting for a reaction. Does it normally take this long?
As soon as he said, "I've got a fetus", I immediately thought of J.G. Thirlwell (Foetus).
Whens the next dylan reaction?
I have a whole playlist of Dylan coming, I just deal with getting blocked a lot with him so that’s why I don’t upload his music as much as I would like to but you’ll see it sprinkled in
