    Thank you so much. Came home today and no heating. Realised boiler pressure had dropped. The user guide was useless. But your video helped sort the problem out. Very much appreciated.

    My boiler technician had me raise the temperature on the tap water. He said it was a better choice if you want to avoid listeria.

    Scotland, today it's getting cold now, I'm 70 & scared to adjust my boiler settings. Hot water is easy to understand but central htg what is correct temperature. I live in a 2 bedroom bungalow. Also it's summer, htg off, hot taps not running, my boiler fires up for minutes for no reason?
    Ok, done the tutorial at the boiler & now I know why it fires up as said - COMFORT! its now off. Set hw & will see how that goes & raise or lower. Htg, also now set at 55c & will monitor. Only thing is my rads also have a adjuster for them, not too sure on that, maybe Tango Mark can help there too. I was going to call the council house people but no need now & they wouldn't know as much as Mark. Glad I Googled this, the wonders of the internet. Thanks Mark (can you tidy my house?!).

      I read that if the water is not over a certain temperature there is risk of leggionnaires disease !
      “Yjd primary method used to control the risk from Legionella is water temperature control. Water services should be operated at temperatures that prevent Legionella growth: Hot water storage cylinders (calorifiers) should store water at 60°C or higher.”

  • @cnoriga

    First at all thanks for this video which I found very informative on how to operate the boiler. I recently had an Ecotect Sustain installed and I found that the boiler wakes up when opening any cold water tap in the house. The fan starts to spin up, you can see the flame symbol for a short seconds and then disappears and eventually the fan stops spinning. I have never seen or expected this behaviour with previous combi boilers, Is this normal?

  • @DadandDaughterReviews
    @DadandDaughterReviews ปีที่แล้ว

    My valiant eco tec plus has been off for central heating for the 3 or so months of summer. Hot waters been fine with no pressure loss or faults. I turned the central heating dial last night and it started but the pressure dropped to zero. I hit the flame button while turning the taps on underside and heard a like a loud switch click noise and fired up, closed the taps and pressure dropped again. So I turned the central heating dial off put the pressure back in the system and hot water works and holds pressure but if I turn that heating dial the pressure goes and I get F75. I pushed the pressure vessel valve in and water shot out.

    THANKYOU , i have a vaillant eco tec pro its quite old maybe 2007 and its a council boiler they are extremely reluctant to advise and each time its checked they turn the radiator and water dials up , i have my rads on around 55 to 60 and water is around 44 so not hot but comfy to wash hands without worrying about being burnt , had this since it was installed , the digital dial doesn't show a c at all so does that mean i don't have pre heat or i don't have an option to turn it off and on . many thanks

    Great video, but I'm missing the installers menu where in my opinion sits the most important setting: d000 - output power. This is the real money saver. It's default set to the maximum power consumption. I've set to 6kw which still keeps my house warm but only cost me 5,7 m3 gas per hour. Also, like others mention, do not set the hot water below 55 c degrees

    Hi I wonder if you can help me. We had this boiler fitted in march 24 and all engineers, even after our own fitter and two subsequent vaillant engineers are at a loss why our radiators ramp up fast to the target heat then stop and don’t moderate or tick over to keep an even temperature, the rads just go cold for hours (giving a distinct coldness to the room plus cold bathroom etc) until the temp drops and they come on a ramp up again to then do the same thing. We had a new thermostat and various other things were checked. We are now waiting for an upper level expert vaillant engineer knowledgeable in this particular issue to come to check things out. Im not technically minded at all in heating but one shouldn’t have a new boiler to find half the time we dont feel warm and dont have a steady temperature in all rooms. Does anything spring to your mind about what might be the issue? Or point me in the right direction ? Thank you so much.

      Water noise can sound like it's coming from one place but really it's coming from somewhere completely different. If you have the sound of continuous water running suggested you may have a leak in your mains water pipe going into your house.
