Fun Fact: Despite being bleeped out in the film, the name of The Bride (Uma Thurman) is revealed on her plane tickets.
Batter-Up Fact: The shot where the Bride splits a baseball in two with a samurai sword was done for real on the set. It was done by Zoë Bell, Uma Thurman's stunt double.
Boom! Head Shot! Fact: When Chiaki Kuriyama (Gogo) was shooting the scene where she flings her ball and chain out, she accidentally hit Quentin Tarantino on the head as he stood by the camera.
Casting Notes Fact: Quentin Tarantino originally intended to cast a Japanese actress to play O-Ren Ishii, but before casting began, he saw Lucy Liu's work in Shanghai Noon (2000) and immediately changed O-Ren into a Chinese-Japanese-American, so that Liu could play the part.
What? There is no way in hell Zoe Bell split that baseball into two clean halves like we saw sitting on that floor. I call bullshit. And before you come at me that multiple witnesses corroborated the story...stop. You weren't there and neither was I...it could be true but unless I see video evidence that proves otherwise...

And it's actually cool that the writters got to use her name around, without viewers to know.
For example, Bill uses "Kiddo" some times, talking to her.
There's also another character that does a playword around "Tricks" and (bleep) answears something along "tricks are for kids", or something.
@Jeremy ... Dude, you know there's two different shots, right? One with a ball vwing thrown and hit by a sword, other with twobperfect halves fslling perfectly to where the camera was pointing.
Tarantino is a genius, but I don't think he would just guess where the two halves woyld fall and put a canera point there. Also, the two halves wouldn't fall as close,I guess.. But the point is: is it that hard to understand that the shot that the guy you are answearing to is thevshot of a ball being thrown and somebodyvhittingvit with a sword?

In the universe that all Tarantino movies occupy, the Kill Bill series is the blockbuster martial arts film playing at the main theaters.
So that’s also why a lot of the things in these movies don’t exactly obey common physics. This is the MCU movies of the Tarantinoverse.

Originally Kill Bill was going to be one film. But because of the length of how long the movie would be Quentin Tarantino was told to take parts out of the movie because it would have been to long of a movie. So instead Tarantino decided to come out with a Kill Bill Volume One and Two so he wouldn't have to cut out parts of the story.

I love how the goon battle faded into black-and-withe, then silhouette, to mask the gore. Then the final battle which is full color and is truly gruesome

I feel like O'ren wasn't afraid to kill the Bride. It was more that she hesitated. It's implied that the two of them were actually close since they had inside jokes and The Bride knows the most about her backstory.

You're hilarious! The story between Oren-Ishii and the bride, at least the fandom thinks, that they were best friends, and Oren was the toughest straight forward fighter. Oren knows how good the bride is and regrets her actions, like Vivica's character, as you can see in their fight - the bride's respect for Oren is also shown as she really knows her backstory, they share inside jokes and knowing glances etc. Can't wait for part 2!
Kill Bill Is action packed and it features Uma Thurman! One of my favorite actresses! She kicks butt and asks questions later! Uma Thurman is excellent in this! Next Kill Bill 2!

Kill Bill Volume 1 and 2 are really just 1 long movie broken into 2 parts, so you'll want to do volume 2 ASAP!

Lucy Liu is indeed incredibly beautiful, especially back 20 years ago when this was made. If you want to see more of her I can highly recommend doing a reaction to a movie called Lucky Number Slevin. A very good movie, and one that usually flies under the radar and isnt talked about nearly as much as it deserves. She plays a very different character in that compared to here, still just as gorgeous though of course. The movie also has Morgan Freeman, Sir Ben Kingsley, and Bruce Willis.
But, Kill Bill Vol. 2 first of course ;)

Oh man that woman Uma Thurman she might swore revenge on those people that probably killed her in her wedding day suddenly luckily she was pregnant but suddenly bill could have managed to shoot her shoot the heart including her baby because either way she was pregnant from Bill all of a sudden but in the occasionally she's like back from the dead and she is back for revenge ain't that the truth
The movie should end when Gogo actually wins the fight. It was only blind luck finding that nailed stick that saved her. Not her skill. Gogo was ELITE.
An elite wouldn't let a mistake like that lead to their defeat.
