I plan to go undergrad, and I’m 37. The “no honorary” admission made the decision for me. It shows me all this greatness was made internally, not purchased or endorsed.
I feel you on the issue of "honorary" membership. The Nupes ran my campus and were the elite men with high visibility. Athletes and scholars (highest GPA among entire D9 Orgs.). Extremely popular with the ladies. Two other frats (Ques & Alphas) invited me to their interest meetings, but I only had interest in rolling with the Kappas. They barely acknowledged dudes and you had to seek them out. Guys would ask about their Smokers and be told to just keep their eyes open for the postings. Kept them on ice and hyped AF to try making line. This was back in the late 80's and the pledge process was VERY challenging (to say the least). It was well understood that it was a privilege to "pledge" Kappa. NO regrets...... NUPE NUPE!!! 👌🏽♦️
I must admit that as much as I wish you guys did do honorary, for all the reasons you mention is why I hate that my sorority does honorary. Most of our honorary members barely represent us and many sorors don't even know that these honoraries are now our sorors. I love Lance Gross's love for his beloved fraternity. He represents you guys everywhere he goes. I love his excitement. You will never see that level of excitement with an honorary member. The closest I've seen is Fantasia who's an honorary member of SGRho. She represents them very well.
Im going Alumni route myself. Mackaveli Millz, can you please make a video educating on the similarities and differences between undergrad and grad chapters ? Some people will make it seem like the brotherhood is not the same between undergrad & grad.
FACTS in that Kappa doesnt seek you out. You definitely have to seek them out if you are interested. That philosophy embodies members who are of Quality and not of Quantity !

Kappa Alpha Psi develops powerful achievers/leaders. We don't recruit famous/notables for membership!👌♦️💪
