The front emblem has two outer guides that are held in by 10mm nuts, he cut them off, now it will be rattling around in the hood. would have been better to loosen the grill and remove the emblem the correct way.

Great work! Looks amazing. I have the 2022 ST white and black. I LOVE that red color of yours. But they put a Blue ford badge in the front and back!!!!! WTH!!! why would they put blue on that color scheme i will never understand. I want to do this but i think i am going to have my wrap guy just carbon fiber wrap them instead. Great Vid!

Best I've heard you can do is to loosen the bumper enough to get to the nuts. When I look at mine (23 ST) it almost looks like there is enough room to fit an articulating wrench or socket in there. I haven't played around with it yet so I don't know for sure but everything I read says the bumper either has to come all the way off or be loosened. I suppose you could possibly attach a telescoping magnet to the nuts and cut the posts so at least you wouldn't have those two cutoff nuts rattling around in there.
Hey darren I see your using the shurhold DA. I just purchased one and its on its way. Should I stick to the 6 inch backing plate or switch it to a 5 inch?
Worth mentioning - you don't have to actually cut those bolts off like he did. If you open the hood and remove the top cover, which is only a few 10mm bolts and 2 clips, you can pull the grill forward easily and remove the nuts from the back of the badge, it will just come off. The front one isn't even glued on, just bolted. (I just did it yesterday on a 2016 explorer)
The back is glued on, and can be removed by heating it with a heat gun or hair dryer and using something like dental floss or fishing line to pull it off. Once you remove it, you can clean it with rubbing alcohol and work off the remainder of the double sided tape - or use a 3M eraser tool like he did in the video. There is a post in the center that lines up the stock emblem, and you can pull the line around it and use something to pry until the glue starts to release.

I used a yellow 3m eraser wheel to take the double sided tape off that was left when I removed my truck moldings and it turned yellow and won’t come off?? What did I do wrong ?
I think when people ask how much it costs to detail, they ask because they have no clue how much it costs. Knowing how much something costs gives the person an idea of how much they should budget. Sometimes there is 100 bucks left after paying bills, and other times there is 3-4 hundred. How will someone know what they are needing to save if your thought process is if you have to know an approximate, you shouldn't be getting an auto detailed. While I understand your motive to justify why detailing costs so much, sometimes it helps gives a person a ball park idea.
There are two plastic clips holding the rear emblem on. If you use two pieces of thin plastic (i.e. credit card, driver license, etc) you can press in on the top and bottom of the clips to get them to release pretty easily.
Both Ford badges are secured by plastic nuts. Then double sided tape on the rear to keep water out of the deck lid. Water will, eventually, make your rear camera stop working. There's other videos on here that show corrosion from water seeping into the rear lid. Just saying. Seal it better.
