I saw an article where this 16 year old girl's parents apparently bought her 67 stanley cups totaling over $3,000. The girl claimed to be special for it.
I never understood when those cups became so popular. I was like Stanley? Like that green vacuum flask my dad filled with coffee and took to work for 30+ years? Okay…
I use OZARK TRAIL from Walmart! Never disappoints! Fill up with ice, then water, in my car for 2 days, still has ice, like big chunks of ice. But I use the one without a straw so it's vacuum sealed. And no air escapes or goes in. Ozark Trail for the win, got my 32oz for about $15
The water tastes metallic regardless. I bought an RTIC tumbler from Walmart for $35. It's ✨️ceramic coated✨️ on the inside so it's like drinking out of glass, no extra flavors, with the durability of steel.THE ONLY JUSTIFIED TUMBLER!
I honestly don't even notice any flavor. I've got a giant 64oz metal jug I got from walmart for $20 and it's perfect. I basically finish that bottle in a day and fill it up the next day.
Walmart has TAL brand tumblers. Roughly $15 for a 32 ounce model. Screw cap, self"sealing spring liaded straw port, decent sized straw. Does everything the Stanley does for cheaper.
Thank you for doing this extensive comparison video!! Insulated water bottles have come a long way!! There are so many good, inexpensive water bottles on the market. I didn't know that Stanley cups were heavy. 😮😮
I always had the impression that Stanley was the economical brand. For budget camping and construction workers. Then they came out with this cup for $45 bucks and people went wild.
I just picked one up last month from a Michael's that's like the cheaper one! Thing I like about it IS the pop on top! I don't take it riding and one thing I find annoying sometimes is getting the threads just right on the screw on ones that put the straw hole/sipping opening in the wrong place!
I have an old school stainless steel Bubba tumbler. Plastic lid slider broke long ago. I found a tight fitting lid with a magnetic slider on TEMU for $2.50, that wouldn't break if you ran over it with your car. I load it with ice that lasts about 30 hours.
ALSO DO PEOPLE NOT FEEL INCREDIBLY HUMBLED WHEN YOU'RE GOING WILD OVER A WATER BOTTLE??? bc i saw a water bottle that glowed in the dark and i felt incredibly humbled when i set an alarm for it and then stood in a virtual line for it only for it to be sold out LIKE PERSONALLY THAT MADE ME FEEL HUMBLED😭
I have a Thermoflask that I got in a 40 oz twin pack at Costco for $16-20. I bought one pack for $20, and then it went on sale for 16. 2 bottles pretty colors, and one has a straw one doesn't in each pack. I ice it in the morning the next day the ice is still there.
The hype behind Stanley is absolute stupid. I got a $16 cup from Target that keeps my drink cold for 20 HOURS. One morning I poured Passion Fruit juice and ice in it and accidentally left it home; I left home at 7AM and came home at 10:30PM. That shit STILL had ice in it so you know I dont even have to say if it was still cold
Besides the ridiculous price for the over rated cup, a screw on lid as well as the weight could be more difficult for people with arthritis in their wrists/hands, which is where arthritis is usually first noticed.
tbh this test doesn't take into account the rate of wear and tear. Maybe the stanley will last 5x longer than the other one, so then it's easily justified
Just asking, who needs 40oz of water at a time? My 18oz from the dollar store performs just as well, is way more light and compact, fits in both my car and backpack cupholders and when it's empty I just refill it.
Three hours later and there's no ice? That's ridiculous, I can leave my simply modern or Odwalla in my car for 24 hours without a/c and it will still be full of ice. I'll still to those.
$10 Ashland weighs ... 511 grams $45 Stanley weighs ... 610 grams And doing the math we see that Ashland gives you 277% more tumbler for the money. That's the way this is done, right?
As a very conservative Asian you need to let yourself go and just pay the extra and have the privilege of telling others you're not a frugal Asian. That's when you really feel American. 😂😂😂
The Stanley hype is crazy. There was a article about a kid being bullied in school for having a imitation Stanley tumbler.

It's just the school version of people getting bullied for using android phones instead of iPhones. It's an American thing.

My Dad had a Stanley thermos in the 90s too lol
That's what I thought too. I would probably pay $45 for one of those old ones tho... They don't make em like they used to.
@@RanarrDealer oh I'm sure
Lowkey TikTok overhyped this damn bottle. Like people fr tryna wait outside of target just to get one. 😭
not anymore, honestly the trend died as quick as it came

The key is to just get one of those milk gallons and fill them up every day replace it once a week. Easier to carry and drink from imo.
Thats why i dont use tumblers that Aluminum/metallic taste
@@DuckGoat-mr9tuthey sell water gallons too fyi instead of having to wash out a milk one
idk why these bottles r so damn hyped
It is cool to have a thermos with a straw

the $5 dollar random water tumbler that could demolish both of them:

My “free” insulated plastic tumbler I got from the hospital after enjoying a 28 hour kidney stone only cost me $33,000.

The tumbler hype is nuts. I remember my grandma use to have these when I was a little tike.

That's what they used to be, they've been around since like 1903 or some shit lmao

Stanley is BPA Free. Wins points for not causing cancer.

Screw on lid is all I needed to hear, thats a win.
I got a 1 gallon insulated water bottle for $45. Ain't no way I'd pay that for just a 40 oz. 😂
Surely there's a Kirkland tumbler!
My only issue is that you didn't measure out the water. But considering the temperature was exactly the same, it probably won't make much difference.
How was the taste of the water though? Was it JUSTIFIED?
I ask myself if he was gonna eat them...😂
I can hear Middle school - college age kids going crazy right now.

@shophocho, what about spill and durability test?
I'm never going to be a Tumbler. 🤣 I'll stick to the $10 brand.

idk about everyone else but i’m over here rocking the 2 week old kirkland signature water bottle
I thought Stanley was the carpet steamer company
I recently saw a chick fil a tumbler, I think they said they sold it at the restaurant.
Do Yeti vs Stanley next
i literally only have one stanley and its bc it was a collab with one of my fav artists😭 THATS IT
Celsius and grams? Anarchy
ok but how much lead am i getting per dollar?
i got a 16$ 64oz tumblr from walmart. No need to pay 80$ + for a name brand like yeti or stanley. people are marketing drones.
after finding out Stanley puts lead in cups i stopped caring about it
Now review the Temu one for $0.97.
This is basically Five guys vs Costco
I saw a 12 oz Yeti tumbler on amazon for $60 😭😭
The scale 😂
I got a 40oz tumbler from work and it’s a knock off, keeps every bit as cold as my yeti cup without the brand name. The cheap cups are justified
I got my yeti for free, cant complain, it keeps ice water in a 23C room for like 12 hrs.
Ozark trail all day for me bud
A coconut shell is justified
