@@clemzahrobsky2137I completely agree. Toyota and Gibbs racing are the "heels" so to speak in Nascar. With the exception of Martin Truex Jr he is a fan favorite but Gibbs guys get booed everywhere. Which is good because there needs to be good and bad guys.
I liken it to Darth Vader leaving the Dark side to drive for the Light (RCR). There's definitely an attitude change too. Remember when his press conference answers were one or two words? Reminds me of when Darrell went from most hated to most loved.

I hate Kyle Busch with all my heart. But even tho I drove total 3000 miles to go see the Daytona 500, I would’ve been happy if he won the Daytona 500. And if you asked me that 5-6 years ago probably couldn’t even get through asking it.
I have never been a Kyle fan until after last year. Kyle joining RCR is huge for me. I haven't been this excited for a driver since Dale Sr. Was still alive. Been losing interest in nascar slowly since his death. Now with rowdy in the 8 RCR I feel I've got my driver finally! I can never ever root for a Toyota! Go Rowdy! H3ll ya!
Thanks for sharing this press conference, Kenny. I have been a fan of Kyle's driving skills through the boos, and then through the past few years of pain. I was happy to hear the cheers from the NASCAR fans - the people who are loyal to racing are also the most honest with their feelings at the end of races. I realized that there are a lot of reasons for people to cheer for Rowdy, more than I had realized at first: -Obviously long-time Rowdy Nation fans -Chevrolet fans -Fans of the #8 car -RCR fans including those rooting for Dillon, but also a huge contingent of Earnhardt, Sr. fans I guess this last group is one I thought might not have cheered for Kyle at first look. I'm glad to see fellow NASCAR fans giving Kyle support. It is crazy to think he might not have had a Cup Series ride this year. I think this is great for our sport! P. S. The racing action Sunday was the best I've seen at a 2 mile track in years - dare I say the best race since Stage Racing has ruined our favorite sport. Very sad to see Fontana 2 mile format go away.

A lot of people are commenting how much KB has changed. The problem here is he hasn't done anything worth booing for years. I think the last time KB wrecked into anyone was in 2013 with Ron Hornaday. He's been a lot more mature than people give him credit for but hated on the guy because he raced for Toyota. Now we have fair weather KB fans who are jumping on the bandwagon because he's returned to Chevy. I've been a KB fan since 2008 and I know who KB is as a driver. Yes, he's had his maturity issues but most of his dust ups have been after he was wrecked by someone else. Kyle hasn't really instigated fights since the Hornaday incident. He has done nothing since 2014 that has warranted his being booed just because he won. I was delighted and quite surprised that he wasn't getting booed because when you're that good people just want to hate for no reason. It was nice to see people finally appreciating KB for the amazing talent he is. Honestly though, I feel the major reason for that is only because he came back to Chevy. KB is back though so HMS better watch out.

It was a great race! None of that bumper racing like Daytona and Talladega! Your driving skills means more than luck! Kyle should have won Daytona too except for Nascar's stupid restart rules for the end of races. Not the typical carnage at the end of 2 mile plus races. Plenty of passing and slingshots to please everyone. Good luck on the rest of the season.
