The return of Taliban provide an opportunity for Pak but couldn't ignore the challenges. US policy shift left power vacuum which can be either filled by China which the US want or Russia.
Chinas fears the rise of Taliban to power will encourage East Turkistan militants who had been fighting for the cause of Youghur community. The US will shift war from Afghanistan to SouthChina Sea and will boost work on B3W to counter BRI ESPECIALLY in Africa and Pacific. To Balance Regional power the US and her allies will support India against China. Lastly, perhaps US will blame Pak for failure in Afghanistan. Surely they will target our weak economy by halting grants and loans.
