I visited Morrison Spring in spring break 2023.The water is super clear and beautiful!wetsuit is recommended in spring or winter because the spring water is so cold.We had lots of fun and want go again.
It is a great spring to dive i have about 100 hrs in the caves there we used the springs for diving when the gulf was to nasty or the rental boats were not available at Tyndall. But this was 1964-65 we also used our time searching for more caves in the area. There were gators around but didn’t bother anyone but one day we were run out of the by a water moccasin which ways dispatched by someone swinging an oar. It was a great time back the before it got crowded.
Went and it was nothing but a thick murky brown soup but this was a couple of days after days of heavy rainfall. I wonder how long it would be to clear up.

We loved visiting Morrison springs, it was October and a little chilly, but still worth it.

Too much trouble goes to Morrison Springs that's why it's best to avoid the weekends
Unfortunately it can get very crowded.
It can in the summer months. We recommend visiting on a weekday in the first half of the day!

I’ve been there and a few others in Walton County, FL. I’ve never seen one. But never say never.
We have heard that it is a bit cold for them there. We spoke with some locals who hadn't seen any either, but I'm sure there are sometimes!
