I can try to explain the West Bengal tableu for you. It's that in many rural areas schools can be pretty far so a lot of girl children drop out of school because of the daily long distance commute. The West Bengal State government did a developmental project called "Sabooj Sathi", which means "Green Companion" in Bengali, where they distributed free bicycles to girl students to encourage them not to drop out of schools because of difficulties in commuting and to encourage more girls to go on with higher education. That's what the West Bengal tableu was trying to depict. It's a small step towards encouraging higher literacy rates of females in the State. There are various other such developmental projects from both the State and Central governments to reduce oppression of women and encourage gender equality and equal opportunities etc. too. Hopefully we can see a bright future where more women in the country are educated and get more opportunities in various sectors and jobs. I'm also from Kolkata and a Bengali person, by the way. This video was on my recommends and I just started watching your videos and subscribed to your channel. I admire Mike and Melanie so much, especially Melanie, for caring for 5 children, and the both of you making it all look so easy when parenting actually can be so difficult in reality!
