    An explanation of how the system works would be helpful for us beginners......

    I do like how you set up your system and do set by set videos on each Stage of your build .
    One question how long do you letvthe set cycle with your fish before planting?

    As a older newbie I can't get my head around how the system runs, what causes the water to exit the fish tank

    Been looking to see if you've made any vids on how to DIY the biofilter to turn the nitrates to nitrates

    I like the system but I don’t understand how the pressure from the pump cuts of when the tank is draining I understand the float chamber for empty’s

      Hi Michael. It’s a constant flow from the pump in the sump under the grow beds to the fish tank. It then continues to gravity feed from the fish tank through the radial flow filter into the growbeds and continues to drain back into the sump where it is pumped back to the fish tank.
      It’s is all continuous. The pump is never cut off.

    Nice systen congrats! I wonder if the pipe diameters you are using aren't a bit too small? Would go at least for 25mm for the pressured pipes and 50mm or 75mm for the drains.

      Thanks. What is your reasoning for larger diameter pipes?

      @@mattysbackyard9244 to maximize the water flow rates and to fully use the potential of your pump.

    I still am missing why it wouldn't overflow if the pump was turned off...
    I guess the overall piping design prevents that but am curious how all that lays out

    Why cut the sump tank that low? Wouldn't a deeper sump allow for expansion later? Wanting to build one myself. Didn't know if the size was just to fit under the grow beds.

    Sorry if I missed it but what did you use to seal the lids on the tanks so they don't leak? as well as sealing all of your bulkheads?

    Hai Is pump work 24*7? if any problem power falure?

    • @mattysbackyard9244
      @mattysbackyard9244  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the pump is on 24/7. It’s best to have a Solar and Battery system in place for backup in case of a power failure.
