Excellent video. I have to replace my entire system that had the old coax and BNC connectors and start all over again. Old camera technology needed several I.R. Illuminators placed all over our property to see at night. The newer cameras are able to see a license plate number with digital zoom, where the old cameras could not so well.
Nice video, very informative. A small correction: at 8:58 before you joined the cables, you should have used the included oring on the camera cable side, to seal the connection. Not using the oring cancels the waterproofing. Other than this small detail, very good video 👍
Thank you for your comment! To be honest we used the rubber ring but unfortunately instead of putting the rubber ring between the network port of the camera and the waterproof connector we put it between the waterproof connector and the waterproof locking fixing cover. So when we were editing the video we noticed the mistake and we decided to remove it completely from the final video!
There is a rubber round ring that you should place between the camera connector and the RJ45 to further insulate the junction. You forgot to put that. Is not a huge mistake but is always good to be safe than sorrow.

I have 2 questions: 1. Is it possible to chose the angle of view 90 degress down, so that I could mount it above a door an still see whats going on dircelty in front of it? 2. Can it be used with a NAS storage e.g. Synology Video Station?
1. Yes it is possible. From the Web Interface of the camera go : "Camera --> Conditions --> Picture" and select Flip 90 degrees. 2. You can use a NAS for the Recordings. Go to : "Storage --> Destination --> NAS" and setup your NAS.
In the beginning it had a power connector on the camera whip but when you installed it only had a RJ45 jack. Is it a POE camera or a combination power and network connection?
I bought dahua like years ago.has the technology improved in motion detection? I remember motion would pick up bugs, shadows n branches.hows the motion nowadays? The $25 wyze picks up only human motion.
How long of video does the SD card of 128GB store? And what happens if the SD is full, does it overwrite it? Can you read the SD card from app or internet?
The dc connector is to use a DC Power Supply for example if your switch does not have POE. In my installations I use switches with POE so I never use the DC Connector.
I don't know in which 8MP model you are referring to in order to make a comparison. But in general i would prefer the 2 MP camera with Starlight rather than the 8MP without Starlight.
It looks like a very nice camera. I like the motorised lens and definitely at day time it will have a very nice image. If you have this camera please send me your feedback about camera image at night.
Very nice video, I was wondering when you setup without an NVR, is it possible to use an app to see the recordings on your smartphone? Also can you see the recordings from outside of your home network? Thnx!
If you will not use an NVR you will need to add an SD Card into the Camera. Then you will add the IP Camera in DMSS App using the serial number of the camera (cloud) and you can access the camera from everywhere and of course you will be able to see the recordings.
@@PoseidwnTech thanks, that sounds good! I also have a Synology NAS (218 Play) running so I could use Surveillance Station. Any experience with that option?
@@PoseidwnTech does the FPS and I frame need to match? I was told they should in settings. But in yours and other videos I don’t see that to be the case
If the installation is small you can use SD Cards. Please have in mind that if someone steals the camera and for the recordings you used an SD Card then you will not be able to access the recordings since these are stored inside the camera (SD Card).
Looks like you have all your customers on your computer. Folks after having a security system installed immediately change your Password, to many weirdos out there. Many installers will scan the QRC code and log into your cameras. Some DVR's have a log setting which will show you the IP address of the person logging in to your system. I've been in the security business for 35 years.

It is a POE camera but also you can use it with combination of 12V DC Power and network connection. That's the reason that has the power connector.
Very very informative. Thank you so much from Bangladesh ♥

What kind of hammer drill are you using corded? cordless? Can you give the model number please
I used GSB 19-2 RE Professional (corded) from Bosch.
How are the 8MP cameras compared to these 2MP's? I need two cameras and a recorder in LA.
