UNBELIEVABLE TRIED TO CENSOR VIDEO FOR REVEALING HUMAN REMAINS

  • Told to remove video.
    After posting my video I was contacted by a lady who told me to take my video down due to the fact I showed human remains. Now during my time here I was met by two gentlemen who gave me a tour of the graveyard and brought me inside the locked mausoleums, during this time I asked if I could film and was asked not to, so I didn't.
    As you see in my video I was openly videoing the area and they had no issue, they were helpful and indeed very kind to let us take a look inside these locked areas, they even opened the church. you can hear one of the men in the video.
    All names were recorded on a map with even a sign welcoming visitors, there are no signs telling you not to film or photograph.
    They have on their website photos of the graves and crypts, vaults and mausoleums, they also advertise a Halloween event of creepy mausoleums and vaults.
    So when I was contacted, I replied all of the above and commented that if they don't want people to see or film the vault with remains, they need to block it up, she even threatened to seek legal advice.
    If churches don't want the remains on display, they need to block them up.
    there are some graves here that really will make you wonder one being an error on a grave of the age of the person when they died

      Seems it’s an inactive property and we all know out of sight is out of mind so it’s likely that place isn’t frequented a lot and it’s left alone. Active cemeteries keep tractors and fill dirt mounds and sod on hand or they have a way to cover the fresh dirt on top of collapsed graves. If someone lives there for the purpose of being caretaker then yeah they are neglecting their duty bury otherwise it’s common for older cemeteries to end up in neglect at some point. Be glad the headstones are still there. Someone is mowing and weed eating. The graves should be back filled and sided over though and the mausoleums should be closed, shouldn’t be able to walk right into a sealed resting place from 1801 because the ground shift and nobody wanted to fix the door.

    Sue, if the people in charge of the graveyard didn't want you showing human remains on TH-cam, they should have put up signs banning filming and photography!! They should also have taken measures to make sure said human remains are hidden from view!! If you don't want anyone seeing human remains, do something to make sure they are not in full view!! Besides, the remains are now bones!! It's not as if you're showing rotting corpses or something really gory!! Honestly, some people!!😡😡🙄🙄

      What are you going on about? They do not have to put up signs … its not a public place … most cemeteries are classed as private property not meaning they are privately owned by someone … there you must stop when asked or you are breaking the law. In an old vault is hidden from view and far from full view. On most cemeteries you can stumble across bones. Usually they are crushed and used with old soil for new graves or wherever soil is needed. If they place em there is more respectful than other practices like shredding or crushing. There are so many bones from old burials in the ground … not related to any specific graves.

    • @SerenitySueGraveyards
      @SerenitySueGraveyards  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Private but open to the public, or public accessible. There issue was the open vault, that's all. That's why they asked me to remove it but as you can see I was openly filming. When they opened the closed mausoleums, I asked if was OK to film, I was told not to, so I didn't. Now what I saw in there, besides coffins and remains were beer kegs, signage and other bits and pieces, so when she asked me to take my video down, I mentioned the mausoleums being used as storage, also they held creepy mausoleum tours at Halloween, which was listed on their website. They only wanted me to share the good

    Sue I'm so glad you stood up for yourself. I'm sick to death of people & groups of people who want to push their views on other people. The woman was being a bully and I highly doubt she seeking legal advice. I told of a bully the other day. Bullies are cowards & like every other bully when I told him off he shut up & went away. Sue I think you were not doing anything illegal & you were certainly not disrespectful. You haver never been disrespectful in any of you videos. If you were I would not be subscribed. Even though you like i believe they are in heaven not there you still are respectful. There is a saying: you die twice once when your body dies & again the last time any one says your name. So if you need to step on graves to read the stones I'm ok with that. As a line in a song says: Though soft you tread above me I will hear & all the warmer sweeter will be my grave. If this miserable woman is offended by what she sees in your videos perhaps she shouldn't watch or maybe she should as you said go close the crypts or mausoleums. Your videos are always informative fascinating & a pleasure to watch. Don't change one thing❤

    • @SerenitySueGraveyards
      @SerenitySueGraveyards  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I love those words, I actually have goosebumps now, yes I always try to avoid walking on graves, I have an extension on my gimble that reaches the stone, or I will stand on a curb or I have even crouched over, foot on either side. Honestly, I'd rather read their names now to remember than avoid them at all, I hope their souls hear me. Thank you for making a stand. I think the older I get, the more people like this really get up my back.

    Stay strong. You're right, if they don't like people being able to see the remains, it's up to them to keep them covered and cared for better. 7:09 There's a white triangle shape to the upper left and it looks like a dress shirt with a suit coat covering part of it, but I would not believe that a shirt in these conditions would stay white like that. Also, a collar and pocket kerchief to the right of the triangle shape in the next coffin.
    On this side of the pond, another gentleman who posts under 'Faces of the Forgotten' was being threatened by the people that were responsible for the upkeep on a cemetery that was left to become overgrown. The weeds and brush that is higher than your head (even higher than GVs head). He also did not remove the video and now they are being investigated for neglect of the cemetery because they were getting tax credit and government money to care for the cemetery. It is a small cemetery outside of Chicago and has some of the original settlers to that area buried there. At least the people at the cemetery in your video are not totally neglecting the place.

    Love your videos. Nothing wrong with remains. Death is part of life. Finding remains when cemetery hunting is something that never happened to me but I would welcome it with open arms. I live in Quebec Canada. Our cemeteries are nowhere nearly as old as yours so it might not happen in my lifetime. Hope to visit your beautiful country someday. I don't understand their reaction probably wanted to hide the fact that they are negligent in taking care of the place

    It's great that you didn't take this vid down.. It has some awesome finds in it. The History is amazing. Thanks Sue. I don't know what your allowed to do and NOT do there. But there is a cleaner called "D2".. that is approved by the national park service here that when sprayed on head stones will clean off the lichen without damaging the stones. It is the only thing approved in this country to use and I've seen some of the results, and it's amazing... . Just a thought 💭.

    The mass censorship as of late is beyond ridiculous.
    I also watch a lot of true crime and reports on things ; half the time you can't even grasp what the information is because of so many words having to be beeped out.

    Fascinating church and graveyard. It was very kind of those gentlemen to show you around. I am sure that group is doing its level best to care for that place, but they are being overly sensitive 🥺 about those remains. Thank you very much for refusing to take down the this video. Sue I went through this a few years ago when a community group got together to go clean up my local town cemetery that contains the graves of some quite notable people. After we spent a month tackling the cemetery with sunken grave sites, broken mausoleum doors, and weeds as tall as an average size human we were threatened by the man who owns a funeral home on property in front of the cemetery(cemetery is a separate parcel he doesn’t own but said he would be the caretaker for it when he bought the old funeral home). He hadn’t. Our local gov’t battled with him, giving fines many times, and his funeral license was even in question for substandard practices, but we fought and fought to clean it up, even repairing and putting back up fallen gravestones, cleaning them, and filling in soil on sunken graves. In the end the funeral home owner ended up being forced to finally hire crews to keep the cemetery in proper care. My volunteering to get that cemetery clean before it was turned over to a paid crew was the most rewarding civil volunteer work I have ever done.
