I think that with a little tweaking and redesigning, sekiro’s world could have pulled of no warping like ds1. It not very talked about but sekiro’s world is actually connected, at least when going downwards. Senpuo temple connects to a cave in sunk valley if you let the snake swallow you, and in that cave there is a passage that drops you off at the poison pool before mibu village. If these connections worked both ways, were less hidden and the player more guided to them, sekiro could’ve pulled off no warping. It would go really well with the games faster less limited movement, making the world feel more tangible and memorable.
🤔 Don’t get me wrong, my first Souls game was Dark Souls on 360, and I loved the idea of no warping til mid wayish… but in Sekiro? That would make it even more difficult and it’s straddling that line of too hard IMO. I’ve gotten to Sword Saint and Demon of Hatred but have not beat them.
On what you said about Elden Ring's replayability, over 90% of the game is optional. I just recently had a 10.5 hour playthrough where I defeated Godrick, Mohg, Malenia, Placidusax, and Elden Beast. If you know the game well enough, Elden Ring's length is what you make of it.
@@GD-nu4izNo it isn’t. 90% of your playthrough is spent riding around on torrent doing boring busy work. and this “just rush the main path” argument is dumb because you’d be ignoring 90% of the things that supposedly make the game replayable. Also you’d be at a much lower level so unless you’ve already played the game multiple times and have mastered the bosses then you are going to struggle. Plus you need to get umpteen million smithing stones to upgrade your weapon if you want to use a regular smithing stone weapon. The game is simply too large and riding torrent for hours, doing repetitive mini dungeons to get the items you want is boring. Also the variety of weapons and spells and stuff is cool, sure it’s fun for a few minutes but it doesn’t change the core gameplay that much to warrant going through the game again for most people.
@@grimreefer213 meh, you just go get the ball bearings. Yeah there is some setup time but it's not that long compared to entire game. I just finished a parry run with misercorde and only went out of my way a couple times
@@grimreefer213 you don't need to do any "busy work", you start by fighting margit with just 15 vigor and a +2 weapon, there is no need to "be op" or have a complete build to fight any of the bosses.
It’s impressive just how consistent this formula is when it comes to quality. Even though Elden Ring is my favorite, if someone put it last on a ranked list of Soulsborne games, I wouldn’t even be surprised. Each game does something really well that none of the other games come close to replicating (even the red headed stepchild DS2 has insane customization that rivals any old school dungeon crawler).
No game has impacted me as much as Bloodborne has. Everything that Bloodborne is and represents has become everything I love, it entered my life in 2020 and became my favorite game ever made the moment I beat Father Gascoigne, it was that quick that I realized I was playing something special, and as i continued to play the game, the game became a wondrous dive into madness. The game FEELS like you are diving deeper and deeper into the mystery the longer you play, every new area, every new boss, every new item description continues to deepen the story and makes the world around you both more mysterious yet make more sense. And the combat is the greatest combat system of the franchise, playing with every weapon feels so unique and fun, it's like playing a new game with every playthrough. I love the game with every fiber of my being and I have to actively stop myself from replaying the game over and over again so i can play other games
Sekiro is easily top 3 even if it's a bit different. I wouldn't have gotten into FromSoft at all without it, and I wouldn't be in the middle of a Sengoku Jidai obsession either.
The game is perfect..... The only bad thing about sekiro is that it is a short game.... But you can't really complain about the gameplay.... It's fucking satisfying
@@vaibhavsarkate8772 short? if u compare it to the elden ring yes might be short but i gave 60 hour in my first gameplay i did everything but also in elden ring if u go for only main story it'll be 30-40 hour
@@StartStopMotions the first playthrough is long because of the learning difficulty.... Even i kept dodging instead of parrying half my first playthrough... And wanted to kill nearly every enemy I see.... But the next playthroughs get significantly short.
@@vaibhavsarkate8772 thats because of u dont die to bosses u dont go to optional bosses or if u do they are easier and u dont explore around also i want to see a Sekiro 2 but first game is perfect
@@geenalawrence8338 on a more serious note tho even I'd rate DS3 above Sekiro purely out of the replayability factor. Sekiro has the best combat system I've experienced in a soulsborne title, but a massive downside to it is you can only git gud once 😔 DS3 on the other hand has provided me with more joy over 500 hours than any other triple A rated dumpster fire ever could, except for Bloodborne maybe (I don't own a PlayStation)
@Bolt2049 Sekiro is not even a Soulsborne, It's way too different. All the areas have the same aesthetic, the lore is shallow and derivative, there's little to no customization, the OST is extremely forgettable etc. DS3 is a 10/10 and there's no denying that. If for nothing but the incredible lore and boss battles.
sekiro didnt really have fetch quests unless you count getting the various items for specific endings. i personally think the dialogue was put there for immersion since this was the first and only game (i believe) where your character is very important from the beginning and actually has a voice.
The dialogue itself isn't the problem - It's the way dialogue is triggered that frustrates me. Even knowing every step to achieve the best ending, you're going back and forth in the world between NPCs and their locations, and many of the eavesdrop points don't feel intuitive. Going back and forth from the Child of the Rejuvenating Waters by using the rice, returning, waiting until they fall asleep, getting them to give more rice, etc. It's just not... fun? Sekiro's story is a good time, but I think there needed to be a more dynamic way of pushing you towards the more hidden endings, because otherwise it is 100% a guide dang-it experience.
Imho evsdropping was one of the worst quest design additions in any souls games. If they just cut out any evesdropping for quests, then Sekiro quests would much better.
27:47 “i think there was an element of fatigue at the time and still is.” Ive been saying this since Bloodborne showed us what From can do with a different aesthetic and I’ve since been wanting an ancient Egypt setting. I think that would have potential with the cultural focus on death and the afterlife. Castles, tenements, catacombs, new architectural projects stopped midway, bog, river, wetlands, plenty of variety for locations.
Yeah I’m with you. Dark Souls 3 was a Dark Souls game so it gets a pass in my book, and Sekiro was a different setting, so that only leaves us with Elden Ring as the only game since Bloodborne (which was the first to go with the unique route) that could’ve been a much more unique game than what it was, which was really just Dark Souls again. Ancient Egypt inspired game by FromSoft sounds really cool! But yeah I hope they’re done with fantasy now, it wasn’t needed to milk that setting for the 3rd new IP in a row.
Before I watch this, Bloodbornes my favorite game of all time. I call it my depression game. It helped me during a break up. I woukd find myself Getting lost in its environment and lore. I started playing it in 2018ish and I still play it to this day. Just finished a lvl 1 playthrough today actually. Just finished the video. Personally i agree with this list mostly, id rank sekiro a lil higher but I understand 😂. I was really wishing for another DLC for BB. Something ti do with Eileen's story. Being a hoonter of hoonters. Or maybe about her town cuz shes not from Yharnam i believe. Anywho great video. Ill be binging the rest
I'm gonna be that one controversial guy this time because my list would be something like: 1 Sekiro 2 Bloodborne 3 Dark Souls 2 4 Dark Souls 1 5 Elden Ring 6 Dark Souls 3 Note that I consider ALL these games to be better than most other games and even the last one is at least an 8/10 for me (also I've not played DeS, fuck you Sony)
I dont know how anyone ever got through these games without guides. I've played all of them apart from DS2. I will play it eventually but I've to take a soulsbreak after platinuming most of them in the last year after playing elden ring. Playing a bit of dead space nowadays it's an amazing game!! But I love your number 1 pick - Bloodborne is amazing. I love the limited number of weapons in the game - the spin to win R2 of the axe helped me through the start as I got used to it lol.
Videos like these are why I love the Soulsborne community so much, everyone’s opinions are so varied that a supposed trend of Top 7’s is nigh impossible. Though I’ve yet to see someone claim DS2 as their fave 😂
Someone who gets it! I love that everyone has a different list, and you can tell what each person values in a game by their choices. That's the best part of a ranking ;D
Good ranking, I do agree, and think you explained what contributed to your decision making process rather succinctly. The one thing you mentioned that I rarely hear is how good the mood is in demon's Souls. I remember when I first played it and just listen to those crows in the beginning-such a great used of letting the environment tell a story, and not needing music or other extraneous background noise. Bloodborne has that same quality of mood. . .to me
I don't think any of the FromSoftware games come close to matching the atmosphere of Demon's Souls, and I stand by that. They absolutely managed to nail every world's atmosphere to a science, and they just never replicated it since. Bloodborne came close though, and Sekiro's ambient noises are superb.
Discovered you today, I like your commentary ! And seeing every single people giving different tier lists and argue on is really interesting ! Here is my list : 7 - DS2 Nothing to add 6 - DeS 5 - Elden Ring - Yes I HATE open world , I hope video game industry will stop this terrible trend. This is the only soulsborne game I almost ragequited because of borenness, Recycling bosses 8465415 times (for example boring erdree avatars / tibia / etc...) and the catacombs "bosses" were just random enemies with an health bar and a music (or add 2 of them because we have to make another catacomb) I liked the early and late game of this game but the Mid game was horrible --> For 40 hours I did 0 major bosses outside of Renala, I just played horse simulator on empty areas and then some catacombs and recycled bosses In your first experience in any souls game you are so excited when seeing a Fog wall or a boss area and you are expecting something new and insane with a new banger of a music. Elden ring mid game made me lose this feeling and that's terrible, at each fog gate I was like "yeah lets kill a trash mob with a health bar or a reused boss or a reused boss but X2) This game still has really good pros like 90% of the remembrances bosses and FS designed some of the best bosses combat out of any soulsborne game with fucking insane musics ( Mohg , Maliketh, Godfrey , Morgott , ...) but the mid game is just catastrophic. Quantity over quality (besides remembrances bosses) 4 - What makes DS1 fall to me is that Bosses are so underwhelming , the only good bosses are in the DLCs and sorry for all O&S fans but I genuinely can't understand you, I feel like everyone shits on gank fights (for a reason) but why do you only like O&S??? It's just 2 enemy's rushing you and it's just run and find 1 opening every 200 seconds (only perfect gank boss existing is demon prince) But the world design is absolutely insane I can't deny it 3 - Sekiro - Hard to start with the new mecanics but no-hitting bosses was really pleasant in this game A little bit of recycling too in the areas and secondary bosses but they are usually ok Ishin Ashina gave me SO MUCH trouble the first time but this fight is insane But when I want to play a FS game today I almost never choose Sekiro because once you've accomplished it it loses freshness. 2 - Bloodborne - Insane world/enemy design I could travel to an another continent to hear this music Give us bloodborne PC please FS that's free 80 € for you 1 - DS3 Music Best bosses I just can't describe how much I love this game 0 - DS3 The Convergence Mod Step 1 - Take DS3 Step 2 - Remove all trash bosses and replace them with something insane and add Sekiro's movesets into enemies Step 3 - Add something like Sekiro to ressurect bosses Step 4 - Give Pontiff Sulyvahn the greatest fight in the entire franchise and add a phase 3 with Ishin's moveset Pontiff Sulyvahn with this mode is the best thing I've ever experienced in any FS game SL1'ing this game is so fucking insane (10 minuts long fights)
Agree with a lot except for 2 things: 1) The Elden Ring remembrance bosses are not good overall, they’re meh. The only S-tier boss in Elden Ring is Mohg, the rest are pretty overrated, and no matter how cool some animations, movesets, or cutscenes look, they couldn’t get their movesets to fit the game’s combat. They held so much back when making Elden Ring, when they could’ve gone all out and make something really special, unique and innovative. It’s the most perfect lost potential-case in gaming history, and I wish they give the game the same treatment Final Fantasy XIV and No Man’s Sky got over the years, so I can justify actually calling the game 'Elden Ring' and not 'Dark Souls 4', because Elden Ring’s pre launch trailers deserves that. 2) Dark Souls 1 has great bosses. I like how unique a lot of them are, and how methodical you have to be when fightin them, much more fair design than Elden Ring.
I'm surprised that you put ds1 so high because everybody else puts it at the second to last due to the speed and the second half, ds1 is my favorite game of all time and its not even close
I think it's because I like to consider both how good the games are today, but also how good they were when they first came out, how progressive they were for their series, etc. I'm not a fan of the "Newer = Better" argument that many people use for DS3 & Elden Ring.
Dark souls 2 is personally my favorite! Most interesting world to go and replay through countless times, whilst learning things new the more and more you go through it, I always play as a diffrent build I never used before ! Also my fav platnium of all the core 3
To me, your analysis of DS3 replayability is basically what I think about DS1 - I'm fine with sluging through a mediocre early game in DS3 to get awesome mid-late-dlc while when thinking about DS1 I mostly think "what a great game.. but do I really want to play past O&S ?" Other than that I'll add to the "Sekiro is underrated" pile of comments but I get everyone has their favorites. I doubt Elden ring will have as much of an impact as dark souls on the industry or on gaming culture (don't get me wrong, ER is great but it's not really creating its own subtype of games nor does it really revolutionize existing genres).
I'm surprised that you'd think ER has had more of an impact - I think it's a bit too early to tell considering the industry as a whole hasn't had enough time to produce full scale games inspired by ER ? So far I haven't read or seen references to an "elden ring like" game - maybe there have been - though certainly not to the same extent as dark souls for instance. @commanderpp
@commanderpp Sorry for the rather late answer. I think we differ mostly on what constitutes "influence" - my point was twofold : 1- it's rather early to consider ER's influence on the gaming industry as a whole (it's a game that took years to make, you'd assume games that take inspiration from what it brings to the gaming industry would take about as long since it's mostly "scale" which takes time and / or a big team. Right now you can speculate on futur game projects but most games being published with the formula aren't really copying ER as much as they are DS - hence ER's influence isn't really "felt" the same way dark souls was. Once you see 15-20% of AAA titles implementing specific design choices that are closer to ER's, then maybe you can argue ER showed that the DS formula could be sucessfull in big scale AAA games. As of now though, it's very hard to tell and games coming out today are clearly more on a DS scale if not smaller (doesn't mean they're bad, just that they're not really influenced by ER as much as DS and that's been the case for over a decade by now) 2-ER doesn't bring much new compared to the DS formula and doesn't seem to me to be "the next big thing" for most studios because it's a rather difficult formula to get right and most big studios wouldn't want to risk it. On one hand it's difficult to distinguish anything ER brings to the table in terms of gameplay that distinguishes it from previous games (which doesn't have to be a bad thing - but does mean you can't consider it the primary influence for most game designers choosing to emulate the DS formula or to implement it in their creation). On the other the industry has been mostly focused on making games playable by most people and grabbing new audiences. The more costly the game, the more wide the audience has to be. In that environnement I'm unsure how a big studio that hasn't had their marketting set on "difficulty" could really shift towards an AAA "ER like" game. So far I haven't seen any major developper going for it. It might change of course but I thought (and still think) that it's unlikely. Moreover : sales do not equal influence on the industry. A game can sell very well to the public while having next to no impact on developpers (see sequels to popular franchises... or even key franchises mimicking already existing games ?) while some games that haven't found much success in the public's eye (relatively speaking) cab have a lot more impact on developpers (system shock 2 comes to mind but I'm guessing I could easily multiply exemples of "influencial games" that sold less but had more impact than other games of their respective eras on game creation).
My personal list is: 1. Elden Ring. I've only started playing recently, but I've been having a lot of fun. I've been trying sorcery for the first time in a soulsborne game, and it's great. Using a sorcery/strength build to smack enemies upside the head with an enchanted zweihander is hilarious, and I love how easy it is to respec so I never feel locked into one playstyle. 2. Bloodborne. Yharnam is such a neat setting, and the industrial city gaslight bloodpunk aesthetic is such a fun atmosphere (even though I'm pretty sure I made half those words up). The gameplay is punishing without being unfair, and it's just wonderful. 3. Dark Souls 2. It's the DLC that makes 2 better than 1 imo, and it may even be above Bloodborne depending on the day. The story and how it connects back to 1 is incredible, and I just love Drangleic as a setting. The parallels to the first game but unique additions are cool, and it added a lot of unique systems that never got brought back for later games. 4. Dark Souls 1. Definitely still great, but there are a lot of strange and poorly explained mechanics, the UI is clunky and hard to understand, and the gameplay just doesn't feel as slick as later games. There are also a few fights that just genuinely don't feel fair (Capra Demon) and the balance is a little off. However, I absolutely love the interconnected world design and the lore, and the story is stronger than 2 in my opinion. The only thing that makes it the lowest on the list is that I've replayed it so many times that I've lost the experience of discovering a new area or boss, and that's a lot of the fun for me, whereas I've played the others less and less recently so there's still some feeling of discovery left. And I have yet to play the other 3. I don't really have an interest in Demon Souls, it uses a lot of systems that I think I'd find more frustrating than fun, but I definitely plan on playing DS3 and Sekiro at some point.
Elden Ring was my first Soulslike (i'm a newbie lol) so it holds a big place in my heart, but nothing beats Bloodborne's setting and vibes and Dark Souls 1 marvelous world design. Elden Ring is my 3th favorite From's game as of now
Sekiro is the best one actually, and is not even my first fromsoft soul, is my sixth. The gameplay is perfect, every single prostetic is fun and useful, you dont have the freedom of a build on other souls, but you do have freedom on that, this game actually makes you learn about how to play, you need to "git gud" and the reward inside your mind that you receive by defeating a hard boss is something that not any single one of other souls games has made, i remember defeating ishiin and feeling like an actual pro player. The ambientation is beautiful, all the areas like you said are not that memmorable, but when you play it you love it, and more important, this game actually has a perfect connectivity between areas. The combat is perfect, literally perfect, feels like a dance with the parry and you need to flow in it. And last i personally think the bosses are the best bosses made by from soft overall. I would rate all games like this: Demons souls (7.5/10) Dark souls 2 (8/10) Elden Ring (8.5/10) Dark souls 3 (8.75/10) Bloodborne (9/10) Sekiro (9.5/10) There is no 10/10 game nowhere, it just doesnt exist, but i think sekiro is almost perfect, like almost a step to it
More power to you, my man. If Sekiro is your best one, that's completely cool. As long as we can all be respectful of each other's opinions, it's all good.
@@BillySYT i mean, i obviously respect other peoples opinion, but im being objetive here, everyone has their favourite, mine is dark souls 3, the best one objectively is sekiro. Everyone can say that even demons souls is the best one that is fine since you probably enjoyed that game the most, but you are not being actually objective, like i said my favourite is dark souls 3, is like "my best from soft game" but not the actual best. Its like if someone says resident evil 6 is the best resident evil even tho everyone hates or dont like that game, is your best, not THE BEST. Bloodborne is close to sekiro but has some aspects that made it go 2nd(like the fact that you have to go to the hunters dream to go to other places, even if its something necessary for the lore, or the fact that from software didnt knew how to take advantage of the beautiful weapon sistem to use it online, etc.)
@@maxiprats1442not a single aspect of your comment is objective, sekiro is laughably nowhere near objectively the best one, its just your favorite, ppl should really stop using the word objective when u dont know what it means, no offense. "Everyone can say that even demons souls is the best one that is fine since you probably enjoyed that game the most, but you are not being actually objective, like i said my favourite is dark souls 3, is like "my best from soft game" but not the actual best" again, you are factually incorrect, there is no actual best souls game, its all just preference, and thats the closest youll get to an objective fact in this discussion. "is like "my best from soft game" but not the actual best. Its like if someone says resident evil 6 is the best resident evil even tho everyone hates or dont like that game, is your best, not THE BEST." this is just a laughably bad strawman comparison lol, not a single person thinks resi evil 6 is the best, and equating ds2 or 3 to resi evil 6 relative to their own franchises is just silly. man youre struggling to have a point so you can keep pretending youre saying anything objective, you are not. tbh you sound like a teenager that still cant differentiate between his opinions from facts. "you need to "git gud" and the reward inside your mind that you receive by defeating a hard boss is something that not any single one of other souls games has made" this applies just as much, if not more so in the other games, especially ER, theres maybe like 2 bosses in sekiro where i felt what youre talking about, the rest are alright. "Bloodborne is close to sekiro but has some aspects that made it go 2nd" both these games are nowhere near objectively the best souls game, heres a fact, there are literally dozens of thousands of devs inspired by dark souls and talk about how they inspired their games, yet youll only find 4 or 6 devs talk about or are inspired by sekiro, hell i think lies or p is the first fully bloodborne and sekiro inspired game, that says alot. in truth, demons created the groundworks, dark created the loopy open world, shortcuts and bonfires that the industry copy pasted (including bb and sekiro lol) and elden took that formula and finally implemented into open world, on a design level, elden ring is far above bb and sekiro combined. you should stop talking as if you speak for reality, you do not, and you never will when it comes to measuring objectivity in video game quality, using resi evil 6 as an argument here doesnt work, since its just obvious capcom struggled with that game day one and it resulted in an ACTUALLY objectively bad game (bad performance, many crashes, bad bosses, bad narrative) theres a limit here to objectivity and subjectivity here. your comment only applies to games that are universally bad and everyone agrees is bad, but when it comes to souls and alot of other beloved franchises, not a single sentence we both uttered is objective (except where dark souls is laughably more innovative and influential than sekiro and bb combined and then some).
@@flamingmanure noooo i should have guessed it since i first started reading you, you are just a casual, probably didnt even play all souls games, people who says elden ring is the best souls, are always people who quited sekiro and didnt had the chance to play bloodborne because of being a ps exclusive, and even if sekiro is not the best one in your opinion, there is NO CHANCE that elden ring is the best souls, you can search for opinions everywhere.... yeah, elden ring is ONE of the best, not THE BEST. You are basing your opinion by the most probable fact that elden ring was your first souls and introduced you to all this good from software games, at first i thod you were going to say "bloodborne is actually the best one" and i respect that(not my opinion) but you really said ELDEN RING??? I play on Xbox, so I haven’t yet experienced Demon’s Souls or Bloodborne. I also have yet to play Sekiro, but I intend to someday. As far as I’ve experienced these games… 1. DS3 (the first half is somewhat of a slog, but everything from Pontiff Sulyvahn onward goes from strength to strength with almost no exceptions) 2. DS1 (my first in the series, I’ll never forget the fun I had exploring Lordran and figuring out how to git gud. It’s been awhile since I’ve played this one, but I know it will be a great time) 3. Elden Ring (I haven’t yet completed ER, it is indeed a large time commitment. I’m only in Leyndell and Nokron with my last major boss being Radahn. The scope of the world is staggering, and at times a bit overwhelming. I’ve really enjoyed the immense scale of exploration, build variety, and legacy dungeons) 4. DS2 (I actually paused my Elden Ring playthrough for DS2 to give myself something a bit more manageable. Going through for the first time with an open mind, I’ve been enjoying it for the most part. The quirks that are unique to this game have charm, but I do have a couple qualms: the bosses are generally a bit too easy, and the janky mechanics like enemy spam and the infamous hitboxes)
At the end of the day, the last thing I want to do is invalidate people for their experiences. Sure, I might joke around every once in a while, but rankings and debates only work when people are respectful and willing to hear other views ^^
Right now bloodborne has me by a chokehold. It’s my 3rd time attempting it but this time it’s sticking. I’m currently watching this while farming for blood echoes 😁
thanks for all the work you've done on this series over the last few months and excellent ranking!! really REALLY happy to see DS1 take the silver because mine is something like 1. Dark Souls 2. Sekiro 3. Bloodborne 4. Dark Souls 3 5. Dark Souls 2 6. Elden Ring 7. Demon's Souls really looking forward for what you have planned next!
I recommend using elden ring map from map genie to skip the filler and items that you dont need. I completed the game recently in 35 hours and with all remembrences.
I haven’t played a single Soulsborne game or even watched videos on them except for yours, so I’m sure that these rankings aren’t controversial in the slightest.
I enjoyed your list and subscribed 😅 #7 Demon's Souls #6 Dark Souls 1 remastered (love this game) #5 Dark Souls 2 (annoying changes but happily loved this PS4 version) #4 Sekiro Very tough middle spots #3 Bloodborne (my 1st game in the franchise) #2 Dark Souls 3 #1 Elden Ring
I really agree with you on Sekiro being more rhythm, even I like this game the most in all or souls games but the more you play the easier Sekiro will become and at some point you will be good enough to beat the game effortlessly. Sekiro is so static no RNG elements that surprise you.
Ranking the games just based on how good the games were on my first playthrough: 1. Elden Ring (a year and a half later, after 3 playthroughs, I think I actually enjoy Sekiro and Bloodborne more than ER now but ER was one of the best first playthrough experiences I’ve ever had with a video game) 2. Sekiro (my favorite combat. Its just so fun) 3. Bloodborne (favorite art style, areas, and bosses) 4. Dark Souls 3 5. Dark Souls 6. Demons Souls 7. Dark Souls 2
Can’t wait for everyone in the comments to be breaking their keyboard’s because a TH-camr stated an opinion. Anyways, even though I’ve only played three of them, here’s my ranking so far: 1. Bloodborne 2. Dark Souls 3 3. Elden Ring Each one is a masterpiece, but Bloodborne is what I consider a near-perfect game. I can’t really say anything bad about it. Just little nitpicks here and there. Edit: finished watching the video. It was an enjoyable watch. Keep up the good work, Billy.
I understand the lack of replay ability with the length of Elden ring, but if you role play with a fire build using only whips, Or a blood build with only claws, the different play styles you get are so unique compared with previous games. That’s while Elden ring is a little higher on my list. This is a great list though, thanks
Bro I 100% agree with bloodborne, even though I’ve only played Elden Ring and Bloodborne. I absolutely love and obsessed with that game sooo much man. The lore, the art style, animations, soundtrack, atmosphere, the different builds, the bosses, and even the chalice dungeons are amazing!!! I have over 600 hours from two years of playing this game and I love playing it with my bro and other people. The people who still do PvP in the game either have a really funny sense of humor or are some of the sweetest people to fight against. That game also played a big role in my childhood compared to the other soulsborne games. Ever since bloodborne came out during my third grade year, I have been in love with the game.
I'd love to do it eventually, but I definitely want to put some distance between an All Bosses Ranked project & my initial boss rankings from the first half of this year. Just so it's not completely re-treading old ground ^^
I love how the choice for first place shows very much about the person that ranks. Those that love combat and bosses the most will pick DS3 The ones that love atmosphere and interconnectivity will pick DS1 and the others that love BB would love a balance of both.
in your opinion u mean, overall its a pretty mediocre souls game and not even close to being one of the best games of all time, i would say that about ds1 or elden ring though since they actually evolved the demons souls formula, while bb mostly just copy pastes it.
@@daniels7717it’s definitely great I love the atmosphere and setting, it’s just a shame a lot of the bosses are dogshit… only thing that lets it down for me when there isn’t too many bosses and at least like 6 are trash while 3-4 are amazing
For me: 1. Elden Ring - completely understand replayability criticism, but I could play this game forever. 2. DS3 - the sense of accomplishment when I finally beat Nameless King 🤤 3. DS2 - I'm in the minority here but this is my most replayed Souls game. I know boss quality dropped but I think the sheer amount always gives me a sense of progression. 4. Bloodborne - Rally mechanic was such an amazing implementation. For me, that's what made the combat and the game. 5. DS1 - my first Souls game and play it often on my Switch. Does show its age and lack of complete fast travel can be annoying. 6. Demon's Souls remake - I haven't played the original, but the sound design in the remake is incredible. Atmospheric design is also top notch. They nailed the Prison of Hope feel. 7. Sekiro - never completed it so perhaps unfair opinion but I couldn't get in to the gameplay. I think the fixed character thing was something that put me off too.
Playing through demons souls for the first time since DS1 came out. It might have the best atmosphere of the series, and it's kind of refresahing to play a game about knowledge more than dexterity. Yeah the bosses are at times puzzles thats pretty awesime too. Hope they do another game like rhis rather than the boss centric games all the others are. Btw, Sekiro has the best balance and boss fights anyway with the combat. Kinda feel like BB is somewhat a rhythm to the dodges as well.
Demon's Souls is such a product of it's time, but in the best way. The original PS3 version has some of the best atmosphere in any of the Souls games, and absolutely deserves to stand out for that fact ^^
I started out with Dark Souls 1 around 2015 and man, after beating Elden Ring, Demon's Souls was such a breath of fresh air. Amazing atmosphere, bosses that don't have 2 phases with generic choir in the background, abandoned mechanics like leaping etc. I'm glad I eventually got to it.
To be fair, I give DS2 a lot of grace given its troubled development, and it being my first Souls game. It just ended up being my least favourite to replay when I went through all the games earlier this year
For me it’s 1. Bloodborne 2. Dark Souls 1 3. Elden Ring 4. Dark Souls 3 5. Sekiro 6. Demons Souls 7. Dark Souls 2 Honestly I love all these games so damn much except ds2. Bloodborne is my absolute favorite for sure tho, it was also my first souls experience.
My list is 1. Elden Ring. I probably don't need to explain why. 2. Dark Souls 2 It's what I hoped Dark Souls 1 would be when I first got into the series. I love most of the things the game is criticized for, but I do get why they're criticized. 3. Bloodborne Best combat, best setting, and best story of the series, and probably would've been my number 2 if it weren't for the Chalice Dungeons. 4. Dark Souls 1 My entry point to the series. It deserves all the praise it gets, but I felt a tiny bit underwhelmed, which wasn't the case with Dark Souls 2. 5. Dark Souls 3 Best bosses in the series period, but the game is relatively meh until I reach Pontiff Sulyvahn. If the early game was better, It would've been my number 4. 6. Demon's Souls Prison of Hope is the best area in the series, and I love the high quantity of gimmick bosses, but otherwise I'd give this game largely the same criticisms as most of the community give to Dark Souls 2. Me being a stubborn "no shield, no parry, dodge only"-player doesn't help either. The last point is also why I haven't played Sekiro, since I'm fully aware that mentioned playstyle is incompatible with that game.
This is actually a pretty respectable list, mine always changes, but right now it would probably be like this: 1| Bloodborne 2| Elden Ring 3| Dark Souls 4| Sekiro (Although i think it's the closest thing to a perfect game From has ever done, it could be easily 2nd or 3rd in a good period) 5| Dark Souls 3 6| Demon's Souls 7| Dark Souls 2
Sekiro is the best one for me, hands down. I'm not sure about DS3, though, everything about it seems so outdated now that we have elden ring... the bosses are much better but that one is pretty much the only redeeming factor imho. I agree with pretty much every other placement
DS3 is always going to be weird for me. It plays extremely well, and the bosses are some of the best. But coming from Elden Ring, I kept wanting a normal jump button, and the enemies aren't as tough. I guess that's just the consequence of growing up with this series.
1- Elden Ring 2- Bloodborne 3- Dark souls 3 4- Dark souls 2 5- Dark souls 1 6- Sekiro 7- Demon souls In my eyes i can't see dark souls 1 being that high at all, while it's an all times classic, It has alot of issues that do not age well comparing them to the newer entry, the world is heavily interconnective and cool, but it has lots of issues in it's design, especially in the 2nd half, majority of the bosses are just punching bags and bland, the runbacks are annoying, the movement is kinda clunky. Dark souls 2 should be higher, simply because it feels better in terms of almost everything, so much creativity and the world is so amazing and varied, and suffers less than DS1 world in terms of design, even the bosses.
One thing that about Sekiro- The enemy blocks!!! In most of the games, the enemies forget one of the most essential ability to fight - blocking! Other games, the enemy just eats up the attack while continuing their attack pattern in the empty air, knowing very well that they will eventually fall to the damage they have been accumulating. (Please dont mind my opinion.)
Mhm - And it's not like the other Souls games where they might raise a shield every now and then, the enemies and bosses are fully programmed to block many of your attacks. It's what makes the rhythm combat system so engaging, because without the enemies blocking, the combat would fall apart.
My list goes 1: bloodborne 2:dark souls 3: dark souls 3 4: sekiro 5: elden ring 6: demons souls 7: dark souls 2 Wow our list is similar lol. Only reason elden ring is lower is cause I prefer the more linear experiences over the open world elden ring.
my ranking 1. Bloodborne 2. Sekiro 3. Dark Souls 1 4. Dark Souls 3 5. Elden Ring 6. Dark Souls 2 7. Demon's Souls I replay all the games constantly except elden ring i just cant get back into it so if replays were counted it's by far in last place for me
Honestly, I can’t piece them together either. Bloodborne, Elden Ring, DS1 and DD3 are all amazing, have awesome things the others don’t and have their own shortcomings as well as the awesome stuff
why did u think u were going crazy? personally i think ER is laughably better than ds3 and bb combined, but theres nothing wrong with ppl thinking the opposite. too bad the bb fanboys get jaded when they start thinking about the fact that elden ring is crowned as the new best fromsoft game, public opinion is meaningless anyway. play what you like.
@@flamingmanure"there is nothing wrong" and then follows it with "laughtably" and calls people with different opinions "fanboys". Yeah mate, you say there is nothing wrong with it but it's obvious that it grinds your gears
29:13 honestly i am bewildered how many people say playing the souls games with a mouse an keyboard is hard, when for me is the exact opposite i can't do jack shit with a controller but, have a smooth time a mouse an keyboard. Anyhow sorry for the rant, great video all the support to you.❤
Mine would be 1. Bloodborne 2. Sekiro 3. Dark Souls 3 4. Elden Ring 5. Dark Souls 6. Demon Souls 7. Dark Souls 2 The gaps mean tier and interchangeability. Btw, I disliked Elden Ring catacombs but loved Bloodborne chlaice dungeons, mainly because of the wider variety of enemies, the high difficulty which most ER catacombs lacked and not needing them at all to get key items(many good ER talismans, incantations, deathroots... are in catacombs)
I know it’s crazy for me too say but I really like dark souls 2 in my opinion I would put it at number 4 but my first time playing it was hell on earth but after playing it a couple more times I began to love it
@@BillySYT ds1's world doesn't really add that much replayability for me, i end up doing the same sequence anyway because it doesn't make a difference with build and i prefer an increasing difficulty curve instead of a front loaded one that becomes easy later. The skill ceiling is more important for replayability for me. Also DS2 is more replayable because you have so many different paths you can take at the start followed by three dlcs and many build options.
The poison swamp in the Demons Souls remake is much more manageable due to the fact that they added a ring that you can find in World 3-2 that allows you to walk normally through swamps, pretty much the same thing as the Rusted Iron Ring from dark Souls 1.
I may not be a big fan of some of the liberties they took translating the original visuals to the remake, but the gameplay tweaks were always a good call.
For me I think it would be 7 Demon Souls (7/10) 6 Dark Souls 2 (7.5/10) 5 Dark Souls (8/10 4 Dark Souls 3 (9.5/10) 3 Bloodborne (9.8/10) 2 Sekiro (10/10) 1 Elden Ring (37/10)
My ranking. 1. Dark Souls III 2. Sekiro 3. Bloodborne 4. Dark Souls 5. Elden Ring 6. Demon's Souls 7. Dark Souls II (I love ds2 but it still goes to bottom lol)
I always feel compelled to fight and beat every single boss, whether remembrance or field boss. The only bosses that made me want to drown a puppy were the bell bearing hunters. Sure, parrying makes them easier but the one in Caelid killed me so many times, I started raging
I might cry if my fav (demons souls) and second fav (DS2 SOTFS) are ranked last but I’ll still watch this video anyway because I’m interested in your perspective lmao
Your list is almost exactly as mine lol i just would put sekiro below demon's souls and dark souls 2 tho, love the game but its the less soulslike from them, and yeah my first souls game was dark souls 1 back in 2012, and my fav is bloodborne, so usually the thing that people say that your first souls is your fav is not always true, but ds1 is my second one fav, nonetheless, nice video, earned a sub!
I know you have a bunch of videos planned, but you should do a ranking the games based of their lore. That would be great.
Dsrk souls trilogy would be N1 each day of the year, there's really no comparison tbh it's the most amazing story of a souls game
With no warping, I can't skip the headless ape gank 🤧 I hate that fight
@@xpitohuibro its easier than the guardian ape
It's easily the most repayable game due to the amazing build diversity. No reason to try and beat every boss every play through. Weird critiscm

Dark souls 1 is not only my favourite game but my favourite piece of fiction
The second half is just such a cock, but I love the game
It’s impressive just how consistent this formula is when it comes to quality. Even though Elden Ring is my favorite, if someone put it last on a ranked list of Soulsborne games, I wouldn’t even be surprised. Each game does something really well that none of the other games come close to replicating (even the red headed stepchild DS2 has insane customization that rivals any old school dungeon crawler).
Sekiro, Bloodborne and DS are just my perfect Trifecta of perfection.

DS3 on the other hand has provided me with more joy over 500 hours than any other triple A rated dumpster fire ever could, except for Bloodborne maybe (I don't own a PlayStation)
@Bolt2049 Sekiro is not even a Soulsborne, It's way too different.
All the areas have the same aesthetic, the lore is shallow and derivative, there's little to no customization, the OST is extremely forgettable etc.

@@geenalawrence8338ds3 ain’t no Bloodborne
sekiro didnt really have fetch quests unless you count getting the various items for specific endings. i personally think the dialogue was put there for immersion since this was the first and only game (i believe) where your character is very important from the beginning and actually has a voice.
Awesome vid, easily one of the most well explained fromsoft rankings I’ve seen
I'm gonna be that one controversial guy this time because my list would be something like:
1 Sekiro
2 Bloodborne
3 Dark Souls 2
4 Dark Souls 1
5 Elden Ring
6 Dark Souls 3
Note that I consider ALL these games to be better than most other games and even the last one is at least an 8/10 for me (also I've not played DeS, fuck you Sony)
Here is my list :
7 - DS2 Nothing to add
6 - DeS
5 - Elden Ring - Yes I HATE open world , I hope video game industry will stop this terrible trend.
This is the only soulsborne game I almost ragequited because of borenness,
Recycling bosses 8465415 times (for example boring erdree avatars / tibia / etc...) and the catacombs "bosses" were just random enemies with an health bar and a music (or add 2 of them because we have to make another catacomb)
I liked the early and late game of this game but the Mid game was horrible --> For 40 hours I did 0 major bosses outside of Renala, I just played horse simulator on empty areas and then some catacombs and recycled bosses
In your first experience in any souls game you are so excited when seeing a Fog wall or a boss area and you are expecting something new and insane with a new banger of a music.
Elden ring mid game made me lose this feeling and that's terrible, at each fog gate I was like "yeah lets kill a trash mob with a health bar or a reused boss or a reused boss but X2)
This game still has really good pros like 90% of the remembrances bosses and FS designed some of the best bosses combat out of any soulsborne game with fucking insane musics ( Mohg , Maliketh, Godfrey , Morgott , ...) but the mid game is just catastrophic.
Quantity over quality (besides remembrances bosses)
4 - What makes DS1 fall to me is that Bosses are so underwhelming , the only good bosses are in the DLCs and sorry for all O&S fans but I genuinely can't understand you, I feel like everyone shits on gank fights (for a reason) but why do you only like O&S??? It's just 2 enemy's rushing you and it's just run and find 1 opening every 200 seconds (only perfect gank boss existing is demon prince)
But the world design is absolutely insane I can't deny it
3 - Sekiro - Hard to start with the new mecanics but no-hitting bosses was really pleasant in this game
A little bit of recycling too in the areas and secondary bosses but they are usually ok
Ishin Ashina gave me SO MUCH trouble the first time but this fight is insane
But when I want to play a FS game today I almost never choose Sekiro because once you've accomplished it it loses freshness.
2 - Bloodborne - Insane world/enemy design
I could travel to an another continent to hear this music
Give us bloodborne PC please FS that's free 80 € for you
1 - DS3
Music
Best bosses
I just can't describe how much I love this game
0 - DS3 The Convergence Mod
Step 1 - Take DS3
Step 2 - Remove all trash bosses and replace them with something insane and add Sekiro's movesets into enemies
Step 3 - Add something like Sekiro to ressurect bosses
Step 4 - Give Pontiff Sulyvahn the greatest fight in the entire franchise and add a phase 3 with Ishin's moveset
Pontiff Sulyvahn with this mode is the best thing I've ever experienced in any FS game
SL1'ing this game is so fucking insane (10 minuts long fights)

To me, your analysis of DS3 replayability is basically what I think about DS1 - I'm fine with sluging through a mediocre early game in DS3 to get awesome mid-late-dlc while when thinking about DS1 I mostly think "what a great game.. but do I really want to play past O&S ?"
Other than that I'll add to the "Sekiro is underrated" pile of comments but I get everyone has their favorites.
I think we differ mostly on what constitutes "influence" - my point was twofold :
1- it's rather early to consider ER's influence on the gaming industry as a whole (it's a game that took years to make, you'd assume games that take inspiration from what it brings to the gaming industry would take about as long since it's mostly "scale" which takes time and / or a big team. As of now though, it's very hard to tell and games coming out today are clearly more on a DS scale if not smaller (doesn't mean they're bad, just that they're not really influenced by ER as much as DS and that's been the case for over a decade by now)
2-ER doesn't bring much new compared to the DS formula and doesn't seem to me to be "the next big thing" for most studios because it's a rather difficult formula to get right and most big studios wouldn't want to risk it.
For me it goes
6. Demons souls
5. Dark souls 2
4. Dark souls
3. Elden ring
2. Dark souls 3
1. Bloodborne
My personal list is:
You're in for a real treat with DS3, best dark souls game out of the 3 imo
shouldnt even be a debate its the best in every way@@johnacres4977
I would rate all games like this:
Demons souls (7.5/10)
Dark souls 2 (8/10)
Elden Ring (8.5/10)
Dark souls 3 (8.75/10)
Bloodborne (9/10)
Sekiro (9.5/10)
There is no 10/10 game nowhere, it just doesnt exist, but i think sekiro is almost perfect, like almost a step to it
More power to you, my man.
"i mean, i obviously respect other peoples opinion, but im being objetive here" you objectively are not being objective, your opinion does not reflect reality, thats just pompous teenage ego at best.
Your arguments are "you are not being objective" repeatdly, and "you are probably a teenager". Which im not btw, most of the times the people who use that argument are actually the teenagers here.
@@flamingmanure and btw, re6 is not a completly bad game, its a bad HORROR game, but no one can deny that you can have fun with the action, it WORKS for an action game, its just not the expected formula, people hated it because of that, and not for the actual game
I play on Xbox, so I haven’t yet experienced Demon’s Souls or Bloodborne. I also have yet to play Sekiro, but I intend to someday. As far as I’ve experienced these games…
1. DS3 (the first half is somewhat of a slog, but everything from Pontiff Sulyvahn onward goes from strength to strength with almost no exceptions)
2. DS1 (my first in the series, I’ll never forget the fun I had exploring Lordran and figuring out how to git gud. It’s been awhile since I’ve played this one, but I know it will be a great time)
3. Elden Ring (I haven’t yet completed ER, it is indeed a large time commitment. I’m only in Leyndell and Nokron with my last major boss being Radahn. The scope of the world is staggering, and at times a bit overwhelming. I’ve really enjoyed the immense scale of exploration, build variety, and legacy dungeons)
"By showing what London looks like right now" I feel this😂
I actually really like you saying that people have there own opinions. most would've just shit on any ds2 sotfs fan but you are very kind
At the end of the day, the last thing I want to do is invalidate people for their experiences. Sure, I might joke around every once in a while, but rankings and debates only work when people are respectful and willing to hear other views ^^
You have wonderful taste, sir. Your top two are my top two, hands down.
Right now bloodborne has me by a chokehold. It’s my 3rd time attempting it but this time it’s sticking. I’m currently watching this while farming for blood echoes 😁
thanks for all the work you've done on this series over the last few months and excellent ranking!! really REALLY happy to see DS1 take the silver because mine is something like
1. Dark Souls
2. Sekiro
3. Bloodborne
4. Dark Souls 3
5. Dark Souls 2
6. Elden Ring
7. Demon's Souls
really looking forward for what you have planned next!
Nothing for me beats the first time I got the blades of mercy in bloodborne it was my first souls borne and I won’t forget it
No matter what you think, we can all agree, these games are fucken awesome. The fact you could argue any as no.1 is truly amazing
Exactly! 100%
I don't think there's a list of anything I've not only ever agreed on more, but placed exactly to the title in my head before the video even started
I recommend using elden ring map from map genie to skip the filler and items that you dont need. I completed the game recently in 35 hours and with all remembrences.
My goal was mainly to beat every boss, dungeon and catacomb. Which I did. So I'm good ^^
Also, in Bloodborne, Lady Maria's fight and music in the OST, are the BEST.
I haven’t played a single Soulsborne game or even watched videos on them except for yours, so I’m sure that these rankings aren’t controversial in the slightest.
That's the energy we need.
I enjoyed your list and subscribed 😅
#7 Demon's Souls
#6 Dark Souls 1 remastered (love this game)
#5 Dark Souls 2 (annoying changes but happily loved this PS4 version)
#4 Sekiro
Very tough middle spots
#3 Bloodborne (my 1st game in the franchise)
#2 Dark Souls 3
#1 Elden Ring
I really agree with you on Sekiro being more rhythm, even I like this game the most in all or souls games but the more you play the easier Sekiro will become and at some point you will be good enough to beat the game effortlessly. Sekiro is so static no RNG elements that surprise you.
Ranking the games just based on how good the games were on my first playthrough:
1. Elden Ring (a year and a half later, after 3 playthroughs, I think I actually enjoy Sekiro and Bloodborne more than ER now but ER was one of the best first playthrough experiences I’ve ever had with a video game)
2. Sekiro (my favorite combat. Its just so fun)
3. Bloodborne (favorite art style, areas, and bosses)
4. Dark Souls 3
5. Dark Souls
6. Demons Souls
7. Dark Souls 2
Can’t wait for everyone in the comments to be breaking their keyboard’s because a TH-camr stated an opinion.
Anyways, even though I’ve only played three of them, here’s my ranking so far:
1. Bloodborne
2. Dark Souls 3
3. Elden Ring
Each one is a masterpiece, but Bloodborne is what I consider a near-perfect game.
It’s a huge commitment but an “All bosses in the series” ranked vid would be great. Again, quite a huge project to partake in
I'd love to do it eventually, but I definitely want to put some distance between an All Bosses Ranked project & my initial boss rankings from the first half of this year. Just so it's not completely re-treading old ground ^^
@@BillySYT understandable
love your channel, so glad i got recommended it today.
1- Bloodborne
2- Dark Souls 3
3- Sekiro
4- Elden Ring
5- Dark Souls
6- Demon's Souls
7- Dark Souls 2
I love how the choice for first place shows very much about the person that ranks.
Those that love combat and bosses the most will pick DS3
The ones that love atmosphere and interconnectivity will pick DS1
and the others that love BB would love a balance of both.
Ive watched hundred of these videos by creators I dont even know but I still love your guyses opinions. keep it up dude!
ER is my favorite, it’s the most entertaining and versatile IMO 🏃🏻♂️
Bloodborne is not only the best Soulsborne, but honestly one of the greatest games ever. Legendary.
I’m pissed I only have Xbox and can’t play it
in your opinion u mean, overall its a pretty mediocre souls game and not even close to being one of the best games of all time, i would say that about ds1 or elden ring though since they actually evolved the demons souls formula, while bb mostly just copy pastes it.
@@flamingmanureMany people believe bloodborne is a great game. Did you even play it when you compare it to demons souls ? 🤣
@@daniels7717it’s definitely great I love the atmosphere and setting, it’s just a shame a lot of the bosses are dogshit… only thing that lets it down for me when there isn’t too many bosses and at least like 6 are trash while 3-4 are amazing
Good luck playing at 30 fps. lmao
This guy is literally can read my mind. My ranked is about the same as this list.
For me:
1. Elden Ring - completely understand replayability criticism, but I could play this game forever.
2. DS3 - the sense of accomplishment when I finally beat Nameless King 🤤
JUSTICE FOR DS2
I really wished more people saw Dark Souls 2 the way i do. It's just an awesome game man, I've had more fun with it than the other 2 souls
To be fair, I give DS2 a lot of grace given its troubled development, and it being my first Souls game. It just ended up being my least favourite to replay when I went through all the games earlier this year
Don't worry bro, it's one of my favourites too. I just love it
I would rank them:
1. Ds3
2. BB
3. Ds2
4. ER
5. Ds1
6. Sekiro
7. Demons souls
For me it’s
1. Bloodborne
2. Dark Souls 1
3. Elden Ring
4. Dark Souls 3
5. Sekiro
6. Demons Souls
7. Dark Souls 2
Honestly I love all these games so damn much except ds2. Bloodborne is my absolute favorite for sure tho, it was also my first souls experience.
What’s wrong with DS2? I haven’t watched the video and I’m going to play it soon
@@mikiryates6075 Quantity over quality.
My list is
1. Elden Ring.
I probably don't need to explain why.
2. Dark Souls 2
It's what I hoped Dark Souls 1 would be when I first got into the series. I love most of the things the game is criticized for, but I do get why they're criticized.
3. Bloodborne
Best combat, best setting, and best story of the series, and probably would've been my number 2 if it weren't for the Chalice Dungeons.
4. Dark Souls 1
My entry point to the series. It deserves all the praise it gets, but I felt a tiny bit underwhelmed, which wasn't the case with Dark Souls 2.
5. Dark Souls 3
Best bosses in the series period, but the game is relatively meh until I reach Pontiff Sulyvahn. If the early game was better, It would've been my number 4.
6. Demon's Souls
Prison of Hope is the best area in the series, and I love the high quantity of gimmick bosses, but otherwise I'd give this game largely the same criticisms as most of the community give to Dark Souls 2. Me being a stubborn "no shield, no parry, dodge only"-player doesn't help either.
The last point is also why I haven't played Sekiro, since I'm fully aware that mentioned playstyle is incompatible with that game.
This is actually a pretty respectable list, mine always changes, but right now it would probably be like this:
1| Bloodborne
2| Elden Ring
3| Dark Souls
4| Sekiro (Although i think it's the closest thing to a perfect game From has ever done, it could be easily 2nd or 3rd in a good period)
5| Dark Souls 3
6| Demon's Souls
7| Dark Souls 2
sekiro is "perfect" because its a really simple game, many wouldnt call it perfect for the reasons others would call it perfect.
Sekiro for me is the best one out of these
For a future video you could possibly make a top 10n based around boss arenas or personal favourite boss OST, great video
Great video.
Hope you get to 10k subs soon❤
1- Elden Ring
2- Bloodborne
3- Dark souls 3
4- Dark souls 2
5- Dark souls 1
6- Sekiro
7- Demon souls
In my eyes i can't see dark souls 1 being that high at all, while it's an all times classic, It has alot of issues that do not age well comparing them to the newer entry, the world is heavily interconnective and cool, but it has lots of issues in it's design, especially in the 2nd half, majority of the bosses are just punching bags and bland, the runbacks are annoying, the movement is kinda clunky. Dark souls 2 should be higher, simply because it feels better in terms of almost everything, so much creativity and the world is so amazing and varied, and suffers less than DS1 world in terms of design, even the bosses.
This is the ranking that i personally most agree on the entire internet...
For me, it goes:
1. Dark Souls 1
2. Elden Ring
3. Dark souls 3
4. Bloodborne
5. Demon Souls
6. Sekiro
7. Dark Souls 2
My list goes 1: bloodborne
2:dark souls
3: dark souls 3
4: sekiro
5: elden ring
6: demons souls
7: dark souls 2
Wow our list is similar lol. Only reason elden ring is lower is cause I prefer the more linear experiences over the open world elden ring.

Ranking Bloodborne over DS1? Crazy
We all have different opinions, no worries friend.
Finally a like minded individual who thinks DS3 is better than Elden Ring! Thought I was just going crazy
why did u think u were going crazy? personally i think ER is laughably better than ds3 and bb combined, but theres nothing wrong with ppl thinking the opposite.
too bad the bb fanboys get jaded when they start thinking about the fact that elden ring is crowned as the new best fromsoft game, public opinion is meaningless anyway. play what you like.

Anyhow sorry for the rant, great video all the support to you.❤
Mine would be
1. Bloodborne
2. Sekiro
3. Dark Souls 3
4. Elden Ring
5. Dark Souls
6. Demon Souls
7. Dark Souls 2
The gaps mean tier and interchangeability.
The amount of times you said the word boyfriend made me so incredibly happy I love seeing more queer people play the games I love
I know it’s crazy for me too say but I really like dark souls 2 in my opinion I would put it at number 4 but my first time playing it was hell on earth but after playing it a couple more times I began to love it
love the videos billy 1 million subs soon keep going!!!
I find the replayability is higher for DS3 than DS1, so I'd swap them around but the rest of my rankings is similar
For me, its the other way. Ds1's lack of linearity makes it easier for me to replay, but I totally get it ^^
@@BillySYT ds1's world doesn't really add that much replayability for me, i end up doing the same sequence anyway because it doesn't make a difference with build and i prefer an increasing difficulty curve instead of a front loaded one that becomes easy later.
DS3, BB and Sekiro my fav
I don't know about the best Souls game, but Bloodborne surely is the best Borne game.

5 Dark Souls (8/10
4 Dark Souls 3 (9.5/10)
3 Bloodborne (9.8/10)
2 Sekiro (10/10)
1 Elden Ring (37/10)

1. Dark Souls III
2. Sekiro
3. Bloodborne
4. Dark Souls
5. Elden Ring
6. Demon's Souls
7. Dark Souls II (I love ds2 but it still goes to bottom lol)
Might not agree but solid list and really good video:)
That's the joy of rankings. People won't always agree, but it's just fun seeing how other people perceive things ^^
I always feel compelled to fight and beat every single boss, whether remembrance or field boss. The only bosses that made me want to drown a puppy were the bell bearing hunters. Sure, parrying makes them easier but the one in Caelid killed me so many times, I started raging
