For some reason, Barbers want to pretend like detachable blades do not exist. If you learn how to fade with detachable blades. Your haircuts will be much faster. And much more precise. Nothing cuts like a detachable blade.
Some barbers wanna say the detachable system is too complicated yet they’ll use more than 4 guards to do a fade which I think is even more complicated 🙄

It's so interesting to hear you say that the metal blades aren't necessarily ideal for fading. Now maybe it's because I use clipper over comb with whatever the lowest guard of the fade happens to be but I don't even own an adjustable set of clippers. And because I take good care of my guards wear and tear have never been an issue. I've had my current set for over four years. Anyway I digress... since you said that I'm hooked. Which annoys me a little because I don't typically subscribe to channelsby hairstylist or barbers but now I have to so I can binge watch all of your stuff. Well done sir
Eddie, another great assessment! I have the entire Andis detachable blade lineup and use them in combination with my Rebels or Masters. For fading and detail work I love the adjustables, but for bulk removing, guide lines and smoothing with the grain, the detachables are the winner. Please keep up the great work. On the specialty side, nothing beats the OA FD (filed down) blade for shaping afros and getting stray hairs. Lastly I use the texturizing blade for thin areas.
I've been barbering for over 20 years with detachables and I've pretty much tried them all. Most of my career has been with a corded Oster 76. I was trained from the beginning to fade down from a 3.5 to a 2 to 1.5 to 1A. Then I switch to Andis Masters the rest of the way down, bald out with a 00000 and then shavers. I also do all my clipper over comb work and flattops with a #1 blade. When the cordless Andis Supra Z2 came out, I got a pair. Within about a year and a half, the switch went bad. So I got an Oster Octane and the switch went bad in it too in about the same amount of time. There's a vulnerability in these cordless detachables and it's the cheap metal pieces that engage the power switch. Those cheap metal tabs also wear out in the charging stands like they do in the switches. After going through two pair of cordless detachables within 3 years from two different companies, I went back to the old faithful corded Oster 76. There is nothing better and it's been around longer than most of us have been alive. Plus, they are easy to work on because they are a MACHINE and not a piece of electronic equipment with circuit boards in them like all these cordless toys that keep coming out every month.
I had the same problem with the andis 000000 . My service shop changed the screws on my 111 and now it works. He said that I had the wrong screws . Never changed the screws in over 30 yrs.

I like your videos but even with your last video where you reviewed the fx one Clipper, I just feel like your very bias when it comes to stylecraft gamma products, don’t get me wrong I love their stuff but a lot of it doesn’t work as good as you say, the rebel shaver is nowhere better than the fx3 shaver & the saber isn’t better then the fx boost trimmers, and I love my instincts but they don’t cut as good as everyone says and they get hot, and also loud, powerful yes but it’s all preference but you really have to stop being so bias to all other companies outside of gamma because there is a lot of tools better than gamma

Yes the different brand of blades fit all brand of detachable clippers. But I have learned from experience that there is too much of a difference between an oster 000 and an andis 0A. Always left a line and had to scrub it out with my fast feeds. I recommend having your blade line up all one brand.

@@Dinho1288 look in the description and go to the link to Williamsport Barbersupply
Love these videos 🔥
Glad to hear!
U can buy a battery for a bgr u dont have to use a cord
Great video! Does the oster 00000 fit on the andis Supra zr2? I’m asking because the andis 00000 snags a lot. Also if I just get the andis 00000 sharpened will it stop snagging/pulling? Thank you in advance!
Yes the different brand of blades fit all brand of detachable clippers. But I have learned from experience that there is too much of a difference between an oster 000 and an andis 0A. Always left a line and had to scrub it out with my fast feeds. I recommend having your blade line up all one brand.

Hey Eddie, can you recommend a home clipper/trimmer, i am balding and usually go for a buzz cut similar to yours on the head, i have a short beard that i like having trimmed by the ears and under the neck, only for home use i am not a professional barber? T.I.A.
I only have the 00000 ceramicedge blade. All my blades are ceramicedge except my 1 ¾ blade
is ceramic better
@@WazzyTV to me, absolutely yes
The zr doesn’t cut through the bulk like the octane
They both do but the zr is more quiet
Bro I’ve ordered 4 Andis outliner blades and everyone of them pull hair right out the package.it’s ridiculous
Dam so it’s a widespread issue maybe
@@TH-camBarberAcademy it’s so much bullcrap to pay that much for a blade and it not cut…overall it’s probably been 7 blades in the past few years.because a few companies sent me new ones and I would send the new one back, but then soon as I opened that new one it was the same dam thing.i used to love the outliner blade for face shaving but for some reason a few years ago they stop cutting and started pulling everyone’s hair.i even tried it on hair shorter then a 1 blade, just to make sure I wasn’t trying to cut to long of hair, but it still pulled…I’ve been pissed over this for a couple years now.I can’t understand why no one else complains about this…I can’t be the only one besides you.
Don't get the outline blade get the 00000 blade and zero gap it 🔥🔥
@@trabiggs3134 appreciate that bro.i still don’t understand why new outliner blades are so dull though
I’ve noticed the 00000 pulls but the outliner blade doesn’t then I’ll put the 000 on there and fade up.
Octanes BEEN it!!!!
look into the heiniger sirius , gunna be the best clipper on the market
@@philsadd1144 that’s just a more expensive oster octane
Ironically I have an andis 00000 blade... And have never had it snag.. at least not yet.
Why nobody gives the 000 and 1 blade anymore 🤔🥺🥺🥺
they do in fact the octane gives you 1 and 000 onyx version in the box i was very surprised
The andis supra zr2 comes with the 000 attached to it
@@Jram717 oster used to give both blades for all of their detachables. Andis has never provided the 1 with any Supra zr
@@paigeofstylez not the 1. Just the 000. You’re right.
Andis master has 14000 strokes per minute
Oster octanes are king.. they are way lighter than the supras.. and dont heat your blades like the the supras.. octanes are my work horse!
How much do they weigh?
I am in Italy but i can't find none of these
No SMOKE .. BUt do you know that Andis have a cordless BGR that's compatible and probably better than all the ...US NEW CORDLESS DETACHABLE .
Battery pack for the bgrc wins
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
They call this dogclippers here😂
You dont need a 00000 detachable blade unless you work for a veterinarian 😂... just get u any brand 000 -0 and zero gap it.
Andis heats up too quick
You look like dave kindig 😂😂
I do about 90% of every cut with the model 10. Even skin fades I barely use an adjustable, just to detail. I swear by detachable clippers
