Bucky is just plainly one of the best characters in the MCU, which is a wild thing that I would never have guessed considering he was such a side character in The First Avenger. Out of all the heroes, he's one of the more complex ones with a lot of darkness and demons haunting him, trying to do the right thing but still held back by his mental woes.
I wasnt exactly hyped for this movie but after learning that Sebastian Stan is gonna be in it im super hyped. He has one of the best story in the MCU and Falcon and The Winter Soldier left me wondering what happens to Bucky after this series.
The only one I was expecting out of this official lineup was US Agent. Certainly was not expecting ghost & taskmaster. Taskmaster was the biggest let down in BW so I hope they give her enough to work with that'll make the audience care for the character. Same for ghost.
Absolutely. I actually like that they chose these characters and didn't just let them go to waste. Both the actors/actresses & characters. Not what I was expecting but totally fine with the lineup. I only hope they did more with Ronan the Accuser as well. Very interested on how this plays out in the film and in the MCU as a whole.
I don’t think Red Guardian, Bucky, and Yelena are antagonists; Red Guardian was double crossed by the Red Room, Yelena was brainwashed and then confused with killing Clint, and Bucky was also brainwashed. Edit: also US Agent was kinda too conflicted, and Ghost wanted to cure herself.
Love that Walker and Bucky should be getting more interactions, they got almost zilch in terms of decent, positive interactions in episode 6 of FATWS, totally skimped over, so I hope they do them right in this movie. Love the idea of Yelena and Bucky being together, given their red room/Hydra experiences, and I love as well that Bucky isn't just being a sidekick to Sam's Cap, Bucky is a leading character as is Sebastian as a leading man. The fans love Bucky and he's one of the best legacy characters they have left, if not the best.
It’s really surprising to see Bucky and Red Guardian as part of the line up and seeing Yelena and “Taskmaster” in the team as well is a interesting surprise. It’s gonna be interesting seeing the team dynamic when we are getting 2 “Captain america”, ghost, Crimson Widow, Bucky, and “Taskmaster”
People straight up bullied Wyatt Russel because he played his character perfectly. I absolutely loved his performance and I can’t wait to see him in the thunderbolts. He’s kind of like marvel’s Homelander
Dude, he's nothing like Homelander and I can't stand the idiots who berate him on F/WS. Bucky & Sam were more villains than him, they released one terrorist from prison and practically sided with another. All John did was try to stop them yet people call him the badguy.

Well we already knew Yelena and Walker were being recruited. Was FULLY not expecting to see Winter Soldier in this line up. Be interesting to see how that one ties in with the new Cap. The fangirl in me is screaming about Bucky and Yelena in the same movie though. Couple of my faves.

Maybe the reason abomination isn't here is because of his involvement in She hulk maybe in the end of the season they would tease his thunderbolts involvement that's why they kept him out here and for zemo they might be saving his involvement as he might be playing someone against this group or maybe he has a cameo in something before this project is out that would give us a hint .

a very interesting lineup , lots of possibilities but the lineup in question , it wasn't something i was hoping for, not having Zemo or Abomination was very disappointing , i think he will be part of it , they kept him off the art for a reason but i'm really looking forward indeed
David Bruhl is producing... All Quiet on the Western Front... and that movie might get all kinds of Oscar Buzz so he might not be back in the MCU ... maybe.

OMG, I'm so excited for this. I freakin' love Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier and am happy that he and the character are getting another run in the MCU. The Red Guardian should be fun too. Can't wait!

After seeing the lineup and thinking about this briefly my best guess would be skrulls camo'd as politicians or just straight up human politics who don't want the thunderbolts to be allowed because of their pasts and belief that they are still villians.
I love this cast. I had one guess right which was US Agent. I'm curious to see the dynamics between them & how they'll attack a mission as team. Should be pretty interesting.
@@brendanalexcurran3429 Red Guardian took a version of it too. Hence the 3 with the same skillset. Everyone except Ghosts is skilled in hand to hand combat, and have superhuman strength, but not much else. No Ronin, no abomination, not demi-gods like Hercules, etc.

I was thinking Zemo or Abomination being part of the Thunderbolts, but so far, they have the best team lineup of Thunderbolts. Although, I believe that Marvel have some surprises for both: Abomination and Zemo (mostly Zemo while Abomination is possible) is hiding until the film is released in theaters which would be sooner at 2024).
Zemo's probably the one pulling the strings or something which is why they didn't reveal him and Abomination is in She-Hulk so they didn't reveal him because that could spoil his ending in the show.
@@santinodagostino4441, unfortunately that may not be the case because the actor that played as MCU General Ross (who was supposed to be Red Hulk), William Hurt, had passed away about a few months ago. Replacing the actor for General Ross is unknown at the moment since that is up to the MCU (mostly Kevin Feige).
The lineup is interesting. With Bucky being part of the crew, I wonder witch way they will go. Maybe more of a dark area of the government rather then a General Ross kill squad. I honestly thought they were going to do a misfit type superhero show.

I was thrilled to see it. It had been rumored that he would be recruited. I love that his character brings a continuity to the MCU. He is the last remaining character from the first MCU in the timeline. Captain America!

Unless you mean the first film and not the first phase, but still, Iron Man was the first film, and Nick Fury would be the last one remaining character from that film that is still around. Unless Pepper Potts appears again, but I doubt it.
@@unsaidexile I was refering to the chronological order of the movies in real time. Captain America is the first Avenger film in the timeline. Cap is gone, Peggy Carter, Howard Stark. Only Bucky is left and he has actually been active but in the background throughout all the timeline. He has been busy killing for Hydra and the Russians until he surfaced in WS.
Mainly thinking of whatever govt owned properties that could up the power creep a little. But yes, how nice would it be to have both. But this may be just the level of power they want for the plot they’ve penned up. Excited either way.
Was expecting the comics adaptation but hope that happens sometime down the road. I loved the eventual reveal in the comics,but still a good group to bring to the screen!
That reveal was almost unprecedented for comics at the time. Doing that twist in a movie or show now would have been virtually impossible due to being spoiled by the previous material or the expected leaks that happen in our times. However my big hope is going to see the movie and they include Citizen V and not say anything until the end when they reveal you know who

We're getting the Thunderbolts finally. Hopefully we get Midnight Sons next. Daredevil's back, Moon Knight and Black Knight has been introduced, Blade and Elsa Bloodstone are coming, Punisher hopefully returns, we just need Ghost Rider and the lineup is complete.
I was just saying this almost exact words earlier today so weird that I see the video only hours later. But yeah I actually am not surprised about this line up. Didn’t think Bucky but don’t surprise me tho because his past life an things he did. They could have done The Punisher (Frank Castle) definitely would fit the job and team but and he actually was confirmed to be coming back same actor from the series if I’m not mistaken as well as Daredevil and king Pin especially since Daredevil and Punisher met and ended on good note. But I’m glad they didn’t add him in this because I can’t wait to see them bring in the Midnight Sons!! Best Marvel team ever. Daredevil Punisher blade and ghost rider are already in my top 10 favorite Marvel characters. the others of course are awesome to do I really hope they bring it soon. But also others joined in the comics as well so curious of who the line up will be. As long as those 4 are in it I’ll be happy. Also like the other guy that commented about Bringing back ghost Rider as Robbie Reyes or Johnny Blaze as same actors as the Two films with Nicolas Cage or in agents of shield. Personally Cage got two films first one was good second sucked but also Robbie Reyes ghost rider I liked better for some reason. An he didn’t get a film or his own series. Only got to be in season 4 of Agents of shield which btw was and still is my favorite show I’ve seen ever. But I feel he deserves more screen time and also Johnny blaze it ghostwriter was never introduced the MCU or Nick fury but Robbie Ray is Ghost Rider worked with Philip J. Coulsin which he’s a badass. So for him to be the Rider in thunder bolts would be sweet! But my Favorite Marvel character of all time is Not only Ghost rider but “The Cosmic Ghost Rider” which is Frank castle aka The Punisher! And the way he looks when he Turns is baddass! Flaming Skull of course an then still has his big punisher skull on the chest. And I think it’s lining up good to eventually have that happen. Daredevil knows spider man daredevil and punisher know each other both confirmed an Ghost Rider should just be Robbie Reyes and at the end of that maybe that’s when they will make it to where the punisher becomes a ghost rider because that would be a good opportunity to do it, or possibly just in a nether near future film or serious, but for Frank Castle the punisher to become The Ghost Rider is so sick especially because there in my top 10 people. And then if and when and hopefully they do. But when that does happen. Unfortunately Frank Castle The Punisher when he becomes The Ghost Rider he Eventually becomes The Cosmic Ghost Rider which is when he gets Cosmic Energy from Galactis which might not come in till later in this phase or possibly even the next few phases. Hopefully sooner then better. But If in the Next 3-5 years if Frank castle The Punisher becomes The Ghost Rider i will be so freakin happy lol especially if it’s still the same actor as the series and especially if it shows same actor as Robbie Reyes and The Punisher in the Midnight Sons. Then maybe the day will finally come where not only My favorite but the best Version of him will be in the live action MCU! - Frank Castle The Punishing Cosmic Ghost Rider 💯 Ps. This is actually awesome, Bucky and U.S Agent teaming up again, yelena and red guardian rejoining the universe, I love it and can’t wait to see how they’ll all interact, and I can bet they are going to have abomination and Zemo at some point but we’ll see
I'm assuming they are keeping Abomination and/or Red Hulk off the stage because of She-Hulk. Otherwise they have no heavy hitters on that team, which means it would be more of a spy film with anti-heroes in it than a real Thunderbolts team of reformed villains. Also I couldn't see more than movie length version of Capt. America & Winter Soldier.
White Vision should be a shoe in!! I was thinking about this lineup and felt the real lack of actual ‘powers’, sans Ghost, also felt they need at least a heavy hitter besides R.Gaurd. Although, having three super soldiers is I guess what it is.
i dont think red hulk is in it (the actor passed away),but the abomination is probably in the team, but they didnt show him bc he is currently in she hulk and they dont want to spoil us whats gonna happen to him, if he is a reformed antihero or he is just acting and he is a villain
No heavy hitters? They got three super soldiers on the team. I think Abomination would be cool but the SheHulk TV show so far has nerfed him by making his human form a condition of his parole. Not that they need him with Red Guardian, Bucky, and US Agent on the team. Throwing Abomination into the mix would just be for spectacle.

This is Marvel's chance of setting up the Winter-Widow ship. As much as I wanted to see Natasha with Bucky, I honestly won't mind seeing her sister Yelena with him instead in the MCU version. Yelena Belova is the only character left whom I can see have a future with Bucky. Not only that, but Bucky extremely deserves to have that in his life after everything he's been through!

They don't follow the comic books completely in every single detail. The Winter Soldier or Bucky Barnes was also never a member of the original thunderbolts in the comics but there must be a reason as to why they added him in the MCU version. Let's hope one of the reasons is to set him up with widow.

Also I think the reason they added Bucky is because he's probably their Handler kind of like how Rick flag was to the squad and he's also trying to find where he belongs in the world. I think the lineup is terribly bland without a great bunch of diversity. It's basically a group of equals. Six cookie-cutter heroes with the same abilities with the exception of a ghost. No abomination, no energy wielder just plain old super soldiers, with flaws.
I've been seeing a lot of hate (not in this video) for this announcement & I don't understand it. The hate mostly state the similar abilities within the characters but, abilities & super powers are not what make characters good. 'characters' make good characters. Back story & character development not their powers or skill set. I'm excited for it. Can't wait to see how this plays out.

People straight up bashing on Walker when he definitely doesn't deserve it. Walker is awesome and doesn't deserve the hate he gets. Wyatt is a badass and out of all these guys is arguably the one I am most excited to see return. Although I am happy to see Ghost again.

After seeing the lineup and thinking about this briefly my best guess would be skrulls camo'd as politicians or just straight up human politics who don't want the thunderbolts to be allowed because of their pasts and belief that they are still villians.

I was thinking Zemo or Abomination being part of the Thunderbolts, but so far, they have the best team lineup of Thunderbolts. Although, I believe that Marvel have some surprises for both: Abomination and Zemo (mostly Zemo while Abomination is possible) is hiding until the film is released in theaters which would be sooner at 2024).

Zemo's probably the one pulling the strings or something which is why they didn't reveal him and Abomination is in She-Hulk so they didn't reveal him because that could spoil his ending in the show.

@@santinodagostino4441, unfortunately that may not be the case because the actor that played as MCU General Ross (who was supposed to be Red Hulk), William Hurt, had passed away about a few months ago. Replacing the actor for General Ross is unknown at the moment since that is up to the MCU (mostly Kevin Feige).

The lineup is interesting. With Bucky being part of the crew, I wonder witch way they will go. Maybe more of a dark area of the government rather then a General Ross kill squad. I honestly thought they were going to do a misfit type superhero show.

Unless you mean the first film and not the first phase, but still, Iron Man was the first film, and Nick Fury would be the last one remaining character from that film that is still around. Unless Pepper Potts appears again, but I doubt it.

Only Bucky is left and he has actually been active but in the background throughout all the timeline. He has been busy killing for Hydra and the Russians until he surfaced in WS.

That reveal was almost unprecedented for comics at the time. Doing that twist in a movie or show now would have been virtually impossible due to being spoiled by the previous material or the expected leaks that happen in our times.
However my big hope is going to see the movie and they include Citizen V and not say anything until the end when they reveal you know who

We're getting the Thunderbolts finally. Hopefully we get Midnight Sons next. Daredevil's back, Moon Knight and Black Knight has been introduced, Blade and Elsa Bloodstone are coming, Punisher hopefully returns, we just need Ghost Rider and the lineup is complete.

I was just saying this almost exact words earlier today so weird that I see the video only hours later. But yeah I actually am not surprised about this line up. Didn’t think Bucky but don’t surprise me tho because his past life an things he did. They could have done The Punisher (Frank Castle) definitely would fit the job and team but and he actually was confirmed to be coming back same actor from the series if I’m not mistaken as well as Daredevil and king Pin especially since Daredevil and Punisher met and ended on good note. But I’m glad they didn’t add him in this because I can’t wait to see them bring in the Midnight Sons!! Best Marvel team ever. Daredevil Punisher blade and ghost rider are already in my top 10 favorite Marvel characters. the others of course are awesome to do I really hope they bring it soon. “The Cosmic Ghost Rider” which is Frank castle aka The Punisher! And the way he looks when he Turns is baddass! Flaming Skull of course an then still has his big punisher skull on the chest. And I think it’s lining up good to eventually have that happen. Daredevil knows spider man daredevil and punisher know each other both confirmed an Ghost Rider should just be Robbie Reyes and at the end of that maybe that’s when they will make it to where the punisher becomes a ghost rider because that would be a good opportunity to do it, or possibly just in a nether near future film or serious, but for Frank Castle the punisher to become The Ghost Rider is so sick especially because there in my top 10 people. And then if and when and hopefully they do. But when that does happen. Unfortunately Frank Castle The Punisher when he becomes The Ghost Rider he Eventually becomes The Cosmic Ghost Rider which is when he gets Cosmic Energy from Galactis which might not come in till later in this phase or possibly even the next few phases. Hopefully sooner then better. But If in the Next 3-5 years if Frank castle The Punisher becomes The Ghost Rider i will be so freakin happy lol especially if it’s still the same actor as the series and especially if it shows same actor as Robbie Reyes and The Punisher in the Midnight Sons. Then maybe the day will finally come where not only My favorite but the best Version of him will be in the live action MCU!

I'm assuming they are keeping Abomination and/or Red Hulk off the stage because of She-Hulk. Otherwise they have no heavy hitters on that team, which means it would be more of a spy film with anti-heroes in it than a real Thunderbolts team of reformed villains. Also I couldn't see more than movie length version of Capt. America & Winter Soldier.
White Vision should be a shoe in!! I was thinking about this lineup and felt the real lack of actual ‘powers’, sans Ghost, also felt they need at least a heavy hitter besides R.Gaurd. Although, having three super soldiers is I guess what it is.

No heavy hitters? They got three super soldiers on the team. I think Abomination would be cool but the SheHulk TV show so far has nerfed him by making his human form a condition of his parole. Not that they need him with Red Guardian, Bucky, and US Agent on the team. Throwing Abomination into the mix would just be for spectacle.

This is Marvel's chance of setting up the Winter-Widow ship. As much as I wanted to see Natasha with Bucky, I honestly won't mind seeing her sister Yelena with him instead in the MCU version. Yelena Belova is the only character left whom I can see have a future with Bucky. Not only that, but Bucky extremely deserves to have that in his life after everything he's been through!

They don't follow the comic books completely in every single detail. The Winter Soldier or Bucky Barnes was also never a member of the original thunderbolts in the comics but there must be a reason as to why they added him in the MCU version. Let's hope one of the reasons is to set him up with widow.

I think the lineup is terribly bland without a great bunch of diversity. It's basically a group of equals. Six cookie-cutter heroes with the same abilities with the exception of a ghost. No abomination, no energy wielder just plain old super soldiers, with flaws.

I've been seeing a lot of hate (not in this video) for this announcement & I don't understand it. The hate mostly state the similar abilities within the characters but, abilities & super powers are not what make characters good. 'characters' make good characters. Back story & character development not their powers or skill set. I'm excited for it. Can't wait to see how this plays out.

Abomanition isn't there cuz of She Hulk and Zemo cuz he is currently in prison, so yeah, showing him would mean that he somehow got out
One of those films that might fly under the radar but end up being one of the best.
