This is the most powerful New Year sermon I have listened to. It stirs up, in a time where harmonizations and peaceful coexistence are the ideal, rather than thinking in terms of that which is opposing each other and calls for battle and strife. The reality, however, is sobering. Thank you, Pastor Phipps, for unfolding how Scriptural insight into it brings into focus also an overwhelming hope - for those who put their trust in a souvereign God, which the God of the Bible is. Thank you, then, for calling your hearers to take that stand in the drama of the history of salvation which alone is promising. And finally - or firstly: Thank you for having fought it through yourself what you formed into this message, so important because it deals with a spiritual matter of life-and-death. How good it is, after having heard the words of Rev 12:12 in the sermon, to be able to go from there one verse back and read: "And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto death."
Thank you Lord JESUS that you have given us EVERYTHING we need to be your battle axes that NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US SHALL PROSPER!! TGBTG (To God Be The Glory)
