I feel like this is the one type of hit in Padel that those coming from tennis can more easily do better than those not coming from tennis. This is, to me, basically an overhead smash that I used to work on in tennis.This video helps me understand how it needs to be done, which is not easy, but it helped break it down into steps that I can understand and follow. In both ends of the court (behind the baseline) the glass is segmented in 5 vertical glasses. What the coach is saying is that in order to top spin smash it and get the ball out of the court, if you count from right to left, the right hand player needs to hit in between the 1st and 2nd glass or at least the 2nd glass, if the ball bounces in glass 3 (which is the full middle) even that the ball goes to the right, it will not go out because is too far, and if the ball bounces in glass 1 (the first one from right to left) its to close to the side glass and it will bounce in the side glass and will not get out . =)
