Good to see your effort on making things transparent but before that you should know there are 2 types of stabilizer in the market.1) is to cut off which is to just turn off the output on abnormal voltage and 2) another one is to step up or step down which will be costlier.
Both the ways you can save the device. One will stop working on low voltage and the another one will work even on low voltage.

Absolutely right sir,Not only stabilizer but in all in consumer electronics.For example:Old Teletronics,Onida,BPL,videocon tvs pcbs, transformers have certain durability still working even after 25+years without replacing them.Only smps items like resistor capacitor and some connectors erroded and burned bcoz of long usage.Old stabilizers still with me working for 31 years...b coz am am 32 now.Only cable and indicators gone,relay burned but serviced.
But recently we bought stabilizer for ac which gone for service two times within 5 years.No body knows exactly the meaning of service,everybody is replacing.So as u said our young engineering brains should come fwd and spread quality products to consumers thus by enriching themselves
