CORRECTION - missed the Stormsurge and its Pulse Blast Cannon, which would have clocked in at 17W giving it the sake marker guiding allowance as the Ta'unar!
At NOVA Open 2024, I had a Porphyrian Magma Lascannons do 96 damage to a Thunderbolt I had flying around. It was the most demoralizing thing to happen to me in 10th Edition. I think I conceded the next turn since most of my army had been destroyed by the end of turn 3.
Stormsurge in Kauyon can get 6 shots of 12 damage each, it’s only ever happened to me once but it was funny to tell my opponent that they were so unlucky to receive 72 damage on one model.
people that play apocalypse sometimes rented the school gymnasium and played an entire weekend if you go over the top like that. that thing wont be in range before turn 3 ^^
For anyone wondering: the Rupture cannon deals short of 7 wounds on average. The Hierophant's, the tyranids main biotitan, only short of 5. Yeah I don't know why the dire biocannons are only S10.
As a new player I finished painting my first 1k points of knights recently. Three armingers and a castellan. I let the armingers fight against the castellan just for fun. I thought "oh well lets get one out of the match early". So I decided to fire all weapons at one of those guys. Rolled the volcano gun first. Killed the arminger instantly. Whoops :D
I'd say the list is pretty accurate! I really like these sort of videos, it's always fun to look and compare crazy statlines. Though I think there are some guns missing. I've seen people mentionning the Stormsurge's Pulse Blast Cannon with its damage 12, there's also the Thunderhawk Turbo Laser Destroyer. Perhaps they could have made it in honourable mentions? Great video anyway, keep up the great work!
Ah yes the stormsurge should have been on there - just added a pinned correction now :) Yeah the Turbolaser was a 'near miss', could have been an honourable mention.
I own two warlord titans (which I realize is a clear indication that I have more money than brains), and their Achilles heel is the 3,500 point cost to even get on the table.
"The Nemesis Quake Cannon shatters the tectonic plates beneath the enemies feet crumbling the entire landscape around the enemy" Also the Nemesis Quake Cannon: Damage 4
I thought the railgun on the Tau AX-1-0, with its S26, AP -5, 12 damage, twin-linked profile would be on the list, but I forgot it only had 1 shot and a time. If it even got 2, it probably would’ve made it.
as a brood brothers girly , i can certainly say my shadowsword is the MVP of my army. only vehicle ive named so far , and the "pale lady" has the most kills of any model i own. love me some huge firepower (i just wish the deathstrike punched a bit harder :
I think a worthy addition to the list would be the Knight Valiant's Thundercoil Harpoon. While it has only one shot, it swings at 2+ S 24 AP -6 12 damage while having anti-vehicle and anti-monster 4+ with dev wounds.
No Seraptek Heavy Construct? Two Synaptic Obliterators and Two Transdimensional Projectors making for two strong anti-Infantry and Anti Tank guns. 16 attacks with Sustained Hits 2, Strength 5, AP-1 2 damage And 4 Attacks, Strength 24, AP-4, D6+4 damage. Both at 48" range. Or you can drop them for two Singularity Generators for all-comers. 4D6 with Blast, Strength 10, AP-3, 4 Damage and Dev Wounds. Play Hypercrypt and you can pop this bad boy behind the enemy lines for the low low cost of 1 CP
The tier list is based on average wounds dealt to a Land Raider. I think the Heavy Construct is great too, and I don't know the average wounds dealt, but it must be below what's in this list.
I like to park up my Seraptek Heavy Construct next to the Silent King and a character with Phasal Subjugator enhancement. Get those s24 D6+4 hitting on 2s rerolling 1s, wounding almost anything on 2s rerolling 1s 😉
Quite surprised that the Falchion isn't on the list. The twin Falchion volcano cannon can do some serious work with D3+1 shots, S 24, -5AP and D12. Oh, and twin linked for those sweet, sweet, rerolls to wound.
0 Necron Weaponry when they have the "best" tech in the galaxy. Thought Doomsday cannon w/ blast, heavy, dev 72" D6+1 3+ 18 -4 4dmg would make the list...
The Seraptek is more of a "move up and engage in melee" type of titan. Yeah it has great shooting capability, but you typically won't see them equipped with the guns actually viable against heavies and other super heavies becauase of their melee profiles
Yeah that was a miss by me, just posted a pinned correction above. Looks like it's around 17W based on the same methods as the rest :) Thanks for spotting!
I love a BFG... ever since Doom on the SNES. Fun video! I think gun ranges are too long...most infantry gubs are 24inch range and that is the deployment gap of armies on most missions. It makes shooting too powerful on the first two turns particularly.
What about the Tyranid Harridan? It can 'Frenzied Metabolism' it's guns to add +1 to wound on this profile: 2 Dire Bio Cannons: D6+6 Blast Attaks: BS: 3+ S: 10 AP: -3 and 3 damage. So that's 12+2D6 shots that can hit on 3s and then wound Land Raiders on 4+ if you take some pain. I was one shotting Leman Russes each turn with this thing so surely it'd do okay against the mighty Land Raiders as well!
So dreadmob deffkannon in dreadmob - with one mek (+1 to hit) and 2 CP: Re-roll all hits strat, take sustained, +1 to wound and +1 damage against vehicles strat. Bs 5+ with +1 to hit. 3d6 shots = 10 (rounding down) first roll 5 hit 5 miss 1 sustained, re-roll misses gets 2 hits + 1 sustained (9 hits total) S14 with +1 to wound (monster/vehicles only, but show me a T8 non monster/vehicle)wounding on 2+, so 7 wounds (rounding down) AP -3, so 5+ save + so 4 go through (round down) 4 x d6 = 14 damage (+4 for monsters/vehicles) Max theoretical damage (roll nothing but 6s, + no saves): 18 hits +18 sustained =36, 36 x 6 (+36) = 252 damage Also has blast, so max infantry kills would be 36+4
Storms urge blast cannon, any thing that has no invul and less than 12 toughness will go down in like one turn or a squad of those wolf riders from he wolf marines

Still fucking disappointing. I mean, Nids aren't known for their big bio-artillery, but you'd think we'd have at least _something_ that could put out _some_ damage?!
i think the Thermal cannon has the highest alpha damage, if on the Crusader Knight it can have 2d3 shots (6 total), with Sustained hits 1 it can have 12 shots, those shots can do D6 damage, so they can do 72 damage total, but its melta 6 so it can do an extra 72 damage for a total of 144 Wounds in one shot. will this ever happen? no, can you, in this situation get 30-40 wounds on one target? yeah. and its funny.
I noticed something: its funny how theres no Space Marine weapons on this list, with them being the "posterboys" of 40k, they dont get to have the biggest guns though??? Its mostly titans and knights... Though i was glad to see at least 1 T'au weapon on there, but i found it interesting as well that there were barely any xenos weapons on the list... Like only imperials and chaos with their titans have many titan killer weapons... What are the necrons supposed to do against titans? Or orks? Nids? Druhkari?! Votann??? They just dont have big bad @$$ weapons that kill titans, when they are also the factions that dont have very many titans themselves if at all... Kinda weird that only the factions that already have huge titans have the best titan killing weapons.... Just some food for thought.
Castellan's Volcano Lance is actually...pretty uncomfortable imo🤦🏻♂️D3 shots with 3+ to hit & wound (as a T12 target) is not a good sigh🤦🏻♂️ I prefer Valiant's Harpoon, 2+ to hit & wound with a possible DW, nice and clean🤭
So, I'm one of those ignorant yutzes who believes that Orks basically don't have effective guns, because they never hit anything with them if it wasn't clobbered thevtargetvovervthe head, with the physical gun. I know that isn't strictly true, but it's still the way I like to look at Orks. I'd almost more expect them to have some rok-lobber that tosses containers filled with assault Orks at the target, or use some teleport device to toss them up against said heavy target, and let them crump it in melee, with their high strength and attack counts, while letting g them skip having to hoof it across the board, getting shot at. As for the Necrons, it's too bad they didn't make the list, especially considering historical Oldcrons basically all had hypothetical anti-tank guns, with Gauss rules. Still, they do have enough other high science tech, so maybe it's okay thar they can't ALSO hypercrypt slip some super-pylon into the enemy back line, and just let it pop priority targets till they can manage to crack it. I almost feel like that is how Monoliths SHOULD work, blinking into the enemy backlines, and poeting various other units to its perimeter, to then all spread our, and shoot up the foe, with too many targets to allow them to really pin down critical ones, all while losing cover, and tbe like. Might be too important to be HCL game plan to risk losing the spendy Monolith that way, so early in tbe game.
no Necrons is a pretty disappointing surprise, only 1 T'au was also a surprise until I noticed the correction, but even with that it only makes 2. Why is everyone moaning about T'au weaponry when they're getting out done by the Guard?
CORRECTION - missed the Stormsurge and its Pulse Blast Cannon, which would have clocked in at 17W giving it the sake marker guiding allowance as the Ta'unar!
Another note that the Doomhammer always counts as being within Melta range against enemy Monsters and Vehicles. 🔥

I do hope the Necrons get a bit of love in the crazy weapons department. Not much chance of that with Forgeworld being gutted, but I can dream
well necrons i assume tend to go big or go home, huge star destroyer, or a small and weak antimatter gauss reaper
I do love that a lot of these could be described as "I dont want to see that tank anymore, pick it up."
That one line from Stargate Atlantis came in my mind, where colonel Caldwell said "Major Marx, please make that ship go away." 😂

120" for phantom titan pulsar range...who plays games on a 10 foot board??
To be frank idk if it's a board at that point as much as the floor.
I remember when deathstrikes had unlimited range. You could call a gaming store in another county and announce a strike on the 40K game there.

Ah yes, the S32 gun. Certainly will I stumble upon one in my entire tabletop gaming life.
