      Even at his age, you can see the motivation and energy in his eyes despite his tiny frame and living conditions. He is nowhere close to throwing in the towel. He is a fighter and an example to all 65-year-olds.

    Really puts things in perspective, my heart goes out to these people who just got a lousy roll of the dice in life compared to a lot of us living comfortably watching this from our cozy homes.
    That being said, this video makes me feel incredibly grateful for what i have right now.

    I felt so sad watching how much they suffered living in such a punishing small space. heck, even prisoners get to stay in a much better place! I really feel for them.... sigh...

    I always think my ~900sqft rental house is too small for 4 people. But now I know that it is a million time better than what these people are going through..
    Hope their issues gets solved soon.

    I've been to HK twice and was always curious of the cage homes. The hotels I stayed in Mirador mansion is smaller than my apartment, it's crazy expensive too. The old man reminded me of my uncle who until now works hard and does not depend on anyone but himself. 💕

    the 2nd lady in the video should have moved back to hainan. the kid maybe a hong kong citizen, but moving back to hainan mainland is easier to live in and much better conditions.

      I'm wondering if the husband is preventing that as he wouldn't be able to see his child. Maybe he want her close or maybe he's doing it to screw over the ex wife. We don't know and we only see her opinion.

    I'm really grateful for my parents moving to America and working hard. My childhood I remember going through different rented houses. Both my parents work now with stable jobs, but I need to finish school and find work I'm 19 and I still live with them. I have multiple diseases I have to keep on top of. I'm happy and appreciative that my parents have money to afford insurance.

    This is the plight of our planet. In every country there are the very rich, the very poor and the folks in the middle who are working hard to support themselves and their famiies so they can hold on to what they've got. The bug invested cages and bed spaces are not even fit for a dog..just very sad and a darn shame.

    Hong Kong needs to sort out their housing issue. According to the economist and housing experts in another video it’s not even a land issue. Ridiculous. And this is not the first (and horrifying) look at people living in what amounts to a dirty/unsafe coffin & sharing facilities with too many people.

    I really sympathise with the people in hk. I been watching many similar vids n I understand this is due to shortage of land space in their country. At the same time I’m angry at those who take advantage of their situation .

      Actually, contrary to popular belief, Hong Kong does not have a space problem. While Hong Kong is definitely not big by any means, much of the land in Hong Kong is kept undeveloped because the government wants the property prices to stay high, in an effort to make money.

    That 65 year old man is healthier than 99% of 65 year old Americans. Holy cow he is fit and doesn't even look 65, looks younger. Just goes that if you exercise and don't turn into a pile of glob mentally and physically, you can be healthy too (well unless you unfortunately get sick which you can even if you stay active).
