You could weld a flar bar on the top of the top of the angle iron edge to stiffen it from flexing under load and also cut some flanges in it to make it possible to bend small tabs to build boxes
Just a thought here but I noticed your bending bar (head) deflects drastically while you are bending especially in the center!! I was wondering though why you couldn't support it more like you did with the flat stock you welded to the feed bender!! Though you would have to cut the bar stock thinner to allow it to sit into the head and not interfere with what is being bent, BUT it would make the head stock more rigid and it would flex up as much while making bends in thicker material!! I have also seen where guys weld a pyramid shaped brace to the head to give it more tension on the center!! Not saying you design is bad, BUT I just noticed how much it flexes during operation is all, and there are ways to fix that with just a little more work is all!!
Greg Benwell nice comment. I want to build a sheet bender and thinking of using a thicker gauge angle iron. I have some really thick structural angle iron so will consider using it. This is the Better video so far in the way the video has been presented not times delay on the important bits as for painting that's not of importance to show at normal speed.
Great video. I think this is the best video so far I have seen on showing how to build a bender. I have some old structural 10mm angle iron so I will build a heavy duty bender using your method. Thanks for the upload.
I see a bunch of these brakes with good build but that edge is always poor. Angle iron has a hemisphere with the same diameter of the material on the edges. I used a piece of C channel placed open end up for the stock clamp. Edges are beautiful even with 14 gauge mild steel.
Nice 👍🏻 Learned if i use Bright bar metal stock it give a more sharper fold ie no bull nose ! maybe i will make two heads for mine out of mild steel and the other from bright 👌🏻

Looks like you could put a top brace on it to hold the center down.

I came here for the guitar solo, and I ended up building a brake press.
Can you use bed frame to make this?

Nice video, simple and clearly displayed. A great example of how to do this. Thank you!
Hi bro! This metal bender can bend stanless steel 2mm?
Nice work but there's a lot of improvement to be done, especially the gap between edges for a sharp bend on its corner, and support on the center.
i agree, thats why he is not getting the shape bent

@@alvaroramirez5086 Good suggestion. It eliminates the round over you always find on the angle edge.......thanks, going to change mine.

Same mistake as many , should have flatted edge of angle Iron and drilled through for hold Downs
1,5 mm thicknesses bending properly ??

Measures?
You had some Bo Jackson there in the middle, you better put your top brace on it. 😆
Well done! Really great job I really liked the work 🔥🔥🔥
I'm making one after watching your video
A sheet metal brake would be very useful when I'm working with my everlast tig welder. Inevitably I need to bend something whenever I weld.

Four side bending? Like Rack shelf

Can this handle 5mm thickness?
What is cost ? Can u sell this item
Precio? En Argentina hay alguna de esta? Muchas gracias
Why do you keep cutting the steel twice?
alat bagus banget,,,tambah josss, jika arah temukan k bawah,jd tenaga lebih efisien, nd lebih mudah,,,, cuma sekedar masukan
Maximum sheet ??
Well thought out neat design. Cheers, Rob.
Ok so it bends small pieces of steel now bend some the length of what you’ve made the folder
can bend 4mm plate?
klo.bli.yg udah brapa from lombok
The idea is good, but the result is not very good! The bending radius is too large.
I need to use my powerarc to make one of those.
Nice work.
nice video bro
Not a good design. If you bend a sheet you have to work more to get it out from the machine than to do in bending it.
Good job
That wasn’t a sharp bend, had quite a radius on it
Bend it like a banana, no sharp angles at all. I need something better, have to figure it out.
Simple solution, grind your edge sharp on the clamp angle.
Mashin chahiye
Làm dài 2m dc k
That’s terrific thanks
Oben angle

thanks
Gracias y saludos desde Mexico.
